Because apparently they expire … I saved them for my alts …
EXP Tomes you get because of server issues expire. And this was clearly stated on them.
Was it really ? CLEARLY stated on them ? It was like those adds that promise free stuff then writes conditions in tiny font at the end.
it was clearly stated… also you can create alt characters and claim the tomes on them.
Yes it was, the dungeon scrolls also expire, so spread them to the characters you want now.
what is the actual expired date ? I remember it about 9th or something .
any formation I missed here ??
The expiration date was the first thing I noticed so I remembered to claim them.
when ? I really want to know or I just misunderstood the format time 14-04-09 or something ?
It was mentioned three times…THREE, Karl!
“adds that promise free stuff” my feet.

Oh ok , so I’m confusing myself about date format and not reading all formation inside .
Thanks .
Also in the posts by the staff and announcements by the gms saying you will be receiving X for X and its expiry date will be X
so 4 times really
Your fault. Sorry. You just can’t blame them because you don’t even read.
Wait. Seriously? The damn items expire too? But there is no date on the items once claimed???
But it said redeemable untill April 9th why are they disappearing already? Lost my tomes as well
I see a lot of posts here blaming op for not reading carefully… but the big question is why were these items ever set to expire in the first place? We see with the steam DLC that they can target specific accounts for delivery of items that do not expire! Why in the world would you put an expiration date on server issue compensation items??? What possible purpose would setting an expiration have???
Which one said that? if i recall the first set was end of march and the second set was april 4th
Regardless of them expiring it was a compensation, why should it expire? I personally lost my tomes as well; I didn’t see the date, but nor was I looking for one. Because they were a compensation item and I thought they would be around till at least the servers became stable. This is something I believe IMC should look into. I am sure most didn’t use them because they couldn’t log in or play at an acceptable level.
I have a question. Why should IMC have to stupid proof everything? Also im pretty sure them having expiry dates is standard practice because of how it was implemented in Ktos this system is used for compensations and for event items. They expire so players not playing during the tough periods or during the events cant log in 6months down the road and claim a bunch of freebies.
??? This is not about stupid proofing. As I already said, imc has ways for giving items like DLC to specific accounts and those items do not expire. Furthermore, based on the dungeon finder issues, we know that imc can figure out whether players tried to play in a dungeon or not. Why wouldn’t imc have data on WHEN players are on the server?
If they know that, why couldn’t they just target those players that were logged on around server instability events (and add a non-expiring item like the currently existing DLC packs???)? This is a simple database query…
This isnt really an issue of people waiting MONTHS and then have their stuff taken from them.
This game has now been out one, ONE single week. Hopefully (as I have yet to log in) they didnt have it set to delete the actual items and just when they were yet unclaimed in the mail.
But regardless. I started playing this game a week ago, I honestly read the compensation wrong too as I thought it said they were set to expire april 16th. Which seemed reasonable.
Giving put compensation that doesnt even last until the problems that we were compensated for are done and gone seems a fairly bad buisness practice.
Havnt even been in a dungeon for quite awhile now as everytimeI try they arnt working.
