I’m building a a1-r2-w3-c1. What stat distribution should i use? I’ve been seeing posts saying that I should ignore dex. I was thinking of going 3:1:1 str dex con til 30 con then going 4:1 str dex. What do you guys think?
Any dex you’re getting on that build would be for evasion, not damage. Wugushi poisons can’t critical, and ranger skills are largely multihit with low base damage. Up to rank 7 str is the best option you have for damage.
Cannoneer though, they love dex. Dex is so good for cannoneer skills that pure dex is a very viable option there.
How set are you on ranger2? From what I’ve heard around here, ranger 1 and ranger 3 are where all the fancy stuff happens.
A2 R1 is about twice as good as A1 R2.

They do. Str is all base damage, and cannoneer skills have 150/150/150/300% base damage on them.
But as of level 280, the +3000 skill damage is so big that each tiny fraction of crit chance is worth more average damage than the base damage strength provides.
Each point of crit rate is ~0.075% more damage; in this case ~225 plus change.
