Hell no. The actual playerbase has got to be lower than the current number being shown in steamcharts. But then again, steam chart isn’t super accurate.

All the complaints aside, tos population is looking better than some other games like lawbreakers or gigantic. Right?

IMC doesn’t want ads. No ads = nobody knows this game exists = no new customers. TOS got plenty of press coverage when it started but the launch was botched really bad. Numerous bugs and exploits pissed off the remaining veterans.

Their game crashes when a channel gets close to full. Fact is their netcode and game can’t handle a high playerbase, so if they were to advertise it would just be a waste of money. People would see how bad of a game it is, and leave.
Once they fix the netcode and optimization, and a channel doesn’t crash due to # of players doing things, then they can market and get new people.
you still thinking that’s gonna happen? A complete rewrite of the netcode and engine this late into development? It’s not happening unless they are working on TOS 2.0

LOL. i thought you were one of the guys that actually knew what concurrent means. But general playerbase did drop a lot. Less people are logging in and for shorter durations.

I have 6 alternate accounts for IMSHEET diamond anvil event.
So everyday after off from work, I will login these 6 alternate accounts just for the event. Let’s say 7pm - 730pm I will login all these alt account, thats means the log has 6 users (I am assuming the statistic is not real time and update every X mins). but actual user is only 1. I believe there are some players also will do similar thing like me, this is why the steam charts still showing almost 2k players on ‘Last 24 hours’…otherwise…
Anyway don’t worry, I believe IMSHEET is trying hard to break their record to makes 3 digits players left.

after reducing alts/bots 50k , 50% bots ( if everybody have 6 alts like Reust here ) 25000/6 =4166
post halloween 34k as of 27/11/17
50% bots 17k, (6 alternates as Reust) 17000/6 = 2833
