I’m a whale and I quit the game because I didn’t get a black maid costume from the fishing event despite fishing up the max number of fish every day, and there isn’t even any way to get that costume with real money no matter how much I throw at the game (and no one was selling it because it was so freakishly rare).

So IMC, fire the idiot who decided to make it completely luck-based (and RARE at that) to earn a reward from an event because it costed you a customer who was giving you lots of money.

All time peak was 2 years ago during release. People left after the incompetence of the game. Channels are crashing, people cant login, exploits are everywhere.

IMC probably has only one more year to get their game together. Their contract with Nexon was made in 2016, and I assume it’s a 3 years contract, as it was for IMC’s contracts with other publishers.

For those who don’t believe that ToS can actually end, see the example from Granado Espada, another game from IMC (taken from Wikipedia):

After more than three years of operation The9, licensee and operator of the mainland Chinese regional server, has announced that it would terminate Granado Espada’s game service, citing the expiration of its contract with IMC Games. It has since stopped accepting new registrants from September 22, 2010, and began to wind down the regional server gradually.[13] On the midnight of November 22, 2010, the servers officially went down. Game service in Mainland China subsequently resumed in March, 2011 under a new licensee.[14] Astrum Nival, the operator of the Russian regional server, has ceased game service on November 30, 2012.[15] This marked the first time that a Granado Espada regional server has completely ceased service without any transfer to another local operator.

I could be wrong, but it sounds to me that chinese publisher was pretty unhappy with IMC’s work. They went as far as closing their servers over renewing their contract with IMC.

I believe something similar would happen with ToS and Nexon. Either Nexon jumps off the boat and kToS dies (followed shortly after by iToS), or Nexon tries to buy off the remaining 30% of the shares IMC has and tries to hold the game together on their own (which I find quite doubtful).

Nexon Korea already owns 70% of the shares. It’s pretty obvious that if there’s any development workforce going on in IMC right now, it’s certainly focused towards improving kToS only.
