Don’t worry dragoon is kinda meta right now so you’re good to go.
For class builds…hmm that depends on what you want to do, pick one for starters:
DPS
Offensive support(debuffer)
Defensive support(healer/buffer)
Tank

Fantastic.
I would probably want to go DPS.
What about this talk about other characters? Are alts the norm around here, if so than why?
Just go to swordsman thread if you’re proceeding with your dragoon.
About alts, yes.
You see, Tokens (+1 entry on instances)
290 dungeon > 140k-150k silver per boss rush x3 = 400k+
(240+) saalus > 200k-250k per blessed shard x2 = 400k-500k
Level 317 character+ once per character quest = Practonium(current end game material)
^ Doing these daily don’t even take too much time, compared to what we had to do before to farm silver
Other end game instances.
Now what if you have 6 alts…or more that are level 290, with token?
So naughty.
Love it, haha

It isn’t that bad if you have a good computer! But yeah, FPS drops in crowded situations. I go down to 20s in really busy maps and GvG.
Sorry, but I have to respectfully disagree with you on that.
Maybe I’m being subjective here, but when this one game runs like sh!t while almost everything else runs like butter on my PC (even games from decades ago to most current demanding games), I don’t think my PC is “that bad”.
IMO that’s just poor excuse for writing sh!tty code.
I’m not justifying them or anything like that. I’m just simply saying it doesn’t get that bad on good computers. I don’t get awful slowdowns to the 10s, I go down to the 20s which is still decently playable in my case.
I’m fully aware the game isn’t coded right and not optimized the way it should be, and how demanding/current games run way better. Again, I just simply said in my case (And other friends have told me the same) it doesn’t get that awful.
Well so far my lowest FPS is about 30 in the starting city with all the people standing around. I’m hoping thats as bad as it gets?
Everywhere else is 60 FPS.
Oh another question.
Whats the average party size and are there raids and what size are they? Because I don’t plan on doing any PvP if I don’t have to
parties are only 5-man here. No raids
Are you by any chance in Varena?
Youll get more satisfying reply from http://reddit.com/r/treeofsavior. Tons of circlejerking in here better to stay away from this cesspool forum. Even failures are giving advice on builds or general gameplay in here so the information you absorb are more likely to be unreliable or total failure.

The forums are full of people who are, often for very understandable reasons, quite jaded and disenchanted with the game at this point. It had a really fantastic and promising beta, but was pushed out too soon. The launch was atrocious - MMO launches are almost always bad these days, but ToS had serious issues that lasted for weeks, and even after that stabilized there were a lot of lingering bugs that were borderline gamebreaking and stuck around for far, far too long; and beyond just the bugs, there were issues with lag, crashes, disconnects, bots galore, many questionable design decisions and other offputting factors that drove a large portion fo the playerbase away, leading to more salt from the remaining players because they now have longer queues for instances (or at certain times of day can’t find an instance at all).
The game has been improving and adding new content, but the pace is not good considering its state. There was very little endgame before the Rank 8 update, and now there’s only a bit more. There are huge issues with the game’s PVP from pretty much every conceivable angle, and it’s probably the biggest bit of endgame content that isn’t just repetitive grinding. I know far too many friends and old beta players who’ve either taken a break or sworn the game off entirely. I’ve taken a couple of lengthy breaks myself, and just came back to it after stopping for a good while after Rank 8 was revealed because it totally ■■■■■■ my main character; which is another thing you have to watch out for in this game, IMC really enjoys destroying builds.
Despite all the bullshit, it’s still a game with a lot of potential for those of us who have that deep nostalgic kick for games like this. You just can’t find them anymore. I still want the game to improve and do well, but considering the state it’s in now I just don’t see the light at the end of the tunnel anymore - I just can’t fathom how they’re going to do everything that needs to be done to make the game great before the dwindling playerbase collapses to an unsustainable level. There’s still a lot of fun to be had for a while, though. I wouldn’t dissuade anyone from getting into the game. I think your first couple characters are worth your time invested. But at a certain point - and not a very distant one - you will have seen all there is to see and from then on it’s just repetition, and not in the rewarding skinner box way Western MMOs are set up, in a masochistic sort of way where 99 times out of 100 you get absolutely nothing for your efforts.
IF you have lots of time to waste, or lots of money to spend, then feel free to play the game and enjoy it for what it offers for you. The game is moving towards a P2W model so beginners can catch up to high end players with their wallets when the gacha cubes come out.
If not, then do yourself the favor and

And I’m not a noob.
I’m one of those dissatisfied players who quit and uninstalled the game because of all the garbage IMC threw at its playerbase.
Just a future warning to you if you keep playing: You will be IMC’ed.
Courage be with you newcomer as there hasn’t been very many…lol

Have fun
TOS’ FPS is bad, but I still keep a 50-60 FPS most of the time.
It only lowers when in GvG, but it’s still playable. For me though. I know that a lot of people have FPS issues and it gets to like 0-10 FPS at best during GvG.
If you only do PvE, you probably won’t have any problem unless there are some weird bugs around (a while back we had a couple of bugs who made everybody crashes).
Just observe and see how it goes for you~~
For your builds, you should probably plan them with sites like those two:
https://tos.neet.tv/skill-planner
It’s really important to plan your build and not blindly pick things… It’s also important to read about other people’s experiences or ask advices, as you might discover synergies and how the skills truly work in game.
But while it is important, never forget to also build a character you’ll have fun playing with and that will suit you~ Meta can be quite boring, and meta means there’ll always be someone ready to replace you.
To that you add the fact everytime new classes are added, meta changes. So the meta of the present might be the trash of the future. (How poetic~)
A lot of people are telling you to run and such, but this game is full of trolls and broken hearted people, so don’t listen to them too much.
They loved the game so much, they expected so much, probably too much, and they got too disappointed. I’m a bit one of those too because I had really high hopes and dreams for TOS, but I’m not as much in the darkness as they are~
The game itself is good and fun, the devs tend to take some time to fix things though… (and to constantly break things). Sometimes they take too long.
But it’s a lot about exploring, discovering things, running dailies, etc., and while there are some parts of the story that are interesting (and a few optional quests so sad you’ll turn emo), it’s not as good as a basic RPG, it takes a lot of time to level for your first characters, and so many hidden things… So yeah, friends really make it better !
Don’t hesitate to talk to people on your server I think~ You can meet some great people like that.
I think in game most people are pretty serviable and nice too.
This is some pretty good trolling if I do say so myself.
