Would the developers like to set certain milestones?

Greetings,

I have a habit of participating in betas, so I would like to ask the developers if there are any milestones that you would like to set for each tester? Things like a certain level limit, or to test out systems like crafting etc. It would be great if there are rewards that carry over to open beta and the full debut too, but I am sure many of us just would like to contribute to help the game improve. It would also help testers who are set to try out multiple classes for this beta, if they knew where they could pause in their main and go on to their next sub.

Rewards shouldn’t be give out just because you played a game before someone else did. Like why do you think being a Beta tester deserves some type of special treatment? Playing the game before everyone else does should already be rewarding enough.

Basically you want to ask the devs if we should do something specific for the beta. No. Specific testing is what the devs do.

You see, they want us to play the game - that’s how bugs are found !

Also, i would lie if i said a beta tester reward would be nice, like a neat title, but really, my reward is that i can, again, play the game.

A user a week ago found a red armband for iCBT1 testers in the item database [so sorry if you see this,i forgot your username].That’s the only reward we may or may not be getting,it’s not confirmed. You could probably assume iCBT2 testers will get one as well, but in a different color or something.

But that’s perfect, really. An item with no stat boosts, perks, perfect for the users who want to show off their participation. You really don’t need anything more than that.if at all.

@NoElement hit the nail on the head. This isn’t just for fun,it’s to contribute to the final product everyone plays by reporting the bugs and glitches we encounter.

Greetings,

It seems like everyone is fixated on the reward part, despite what they say.

And no, that was not my point. Perhaps just inconveniently interpreted.

I know of the armband that Melon spoke of, and I agree wholeheartedly. Just a memento of being a beta tester is something nice to have as a souvenir.

Rather, I was looking for opinions on how far along the game or class level should I bring my characters up to in order to get a feel of the class, and be able to see how the systems are functioning. For even though the test is a month long, I do have to juggle work and school. So finding the time to try out the different classes take a bit of time management, and knowing how far along I should bring the characters up to will help manage my time.

For instance, if you’re only able to test the alchemist class and the crafting system when you hit say lv60, I could schedule some time to level my mage to lv60 and be able to test the system. After which I might retire my mage for a while and try out the cleric to say lv65 in order to use the pardoner system.

My apologies for being too brief with the initial post, but thank you for taking the time to read and reply to them. It would be great if anyone has some constructive to add in on the discussion, though let’s put the reward thing to rest for now

To get to rank 6 class you need to be about lv 150+ ish. Could be lower or higher depend on how you lv up.

Honesty and good communication are all I want from the dev…

if the game is good or not is opinion and that’s a matter of perspective…

Thanks to Tsuyucchi for the info. I’ve put together a little table on some the ‘service industry’ classes that I would be testing later in the beta. If anyone has any additional information that might be helpful in place of the question marks, please to comment and I will amend the table.

If anyone has some measure of the average levelling speed from the first beta, feel free to give an estimate on the playing time required too.

I hope this comes in helpful for those of us strapped for time IRL.

Speed definitely different from first beta because of exp rate
My bad I remember wrong about rank 6 lv… @_@

Base by KR TOS
rank 1 -
rank 2 lv 15 ish
rank 3 lv 40-50+ ish
rank 4 lv 80-90+ ish
rank 5 lv 128-130+ ish
rank 6 lv 160-170+ ish

It’s not fix level though. Just average level it suppose to be to reach those rank. Can be faster or slower depend on how ppl play/lv up. Only specific thing you need is Job lv 15 for advancement.

Not to worry~ any info is good info~

Let’s hope the levelling speed isn’t grindingly sluggish. We can update this after we have confirmed things in the beta, for future reference.

Thing getting slow once you’re at 150-160 ish. But I think if you doing quest or get in a grind party that have full 5 members then it’d still be an ok speed.
