I agree with the fact that some people are overreacting, but I also believe that banning people indiscriminately is not good policy and is a good way to turn off a player base.

Even for the people who did “exploit” this intentionally, this wasn’t the same as crashing servers, or packet editing, or using any kind of unapproved tool to get an advantage. It affected almost everyone due to IMC’s mistake, which caused innocents and opportunists alike to get banned.

Banning should be the punishment, not the procedure.

@Awoooo the votes should be public, if not it’s at 37%. That’s still a large number of people.

That’s exactly how polling traditionally works. You take a small selection of people and extrapolate the results to a large number of people.

The issue being that it only actually works when people answer the polls truthfully. Which is quite clearly not the case here.

I studied policy, so I understand the way polling works.

There’s bound to be some non-response bias because not everyone who plays the game, who will either play, or quit, will respond to this poll, and some response bias, because not everyone will answer truthfully.

If you get a large enough sample size though, the information may have some kind of value. 257 people doesn’t seem like a small amount, and the fact that 40% of them are at least contemplating quitting should be a red flag for IMC.

This doesn’t mean some people don’t deserve punishment, but it does mean they should probably reevaluate their methods.

Rank 9 is around the corner, with new gear, content, classes and balances.

A few battle bracelets and orange DPK items I could care less about.

New Rank 9 monsters that are level 450 will most likely drop enough silver not to care about a few little guys bug exploiting 30m to 90m worth of silver in a few days.

Because we’ve had Necrobotters in Dina Bee map botting for over 10 months, making 1m silver a day by doing nothing which means each of those Dina Botters has surmassed over 300m+ in pure silver and most likely another 1000m in monster gems and loot.

So, no. I don’t really care that some people got some crappy battle bracelets and HG gear that will be relevant for 1 month at best.

That’s where I’m at, which makes this reaction from IMC seem very odd at how heavy handed it is all of a sudden, when apparently worse exploits have happened with little to no punishment when those were exclusively the fault of the players, rather than the devs.

It’s completely meaningless outrage as always. Not really a concern. There won’t be a measurable drop in population today. There won’t be one this week. There won’t even be a 5% drop. Let alone %40. And we KNOW that there is a reduction in at least a small number of players due to bans.

It’s entirely meaningless data because it’s not truthful voting. Heck, yesterday was the highest population day tos has had since the population increase, and the current population is currently 1000 higher than this same time yesterday, indicating it’s going to be a strong population day again. No concerns at all…

Its simple, if i’m not compensated, i’m quitting until r9, if i am. i’m probably leveling some characters to 317 and quitting until rank9 to avoid this mess of a game for a while.

i’m addicted and don’t got much anything better to do atm. I get annoyed at the little bugs that they have not fixed since I have been playing for the last 250ish~ days but I still play and I still have plenty of fun.

it doesn’t matter how may free players stay - if a larger pool of paying players decide to quit. the servers don’t pay for themselves.

The reason why so many people are threatening to do so is because the Exploiters are getting rewards 10+1 LETICA CUBE AND TOKENS.

While the victims of the bug are actually players who DID NOT abuse the bug.

Not only are the honest players not getting the letica cube and tokens as compensation, they are severely indirectly affected by the devaluation of certain items in the market thanks to the exploiters who now suddenly got richer and rewards for their exploits.

If anyone should get the 10+1 letica cubes and tokens, it should be the players who didnt exploit the bug. Or just give everyone the rewards equally and everyone will all be happy and play the game.

meh letica cubes are not that big of a deal. I used around 800 tp on them in a yolo moment and got easy to obtain things such as portium and artilonium, a few 315 mats for the orange recipes, some mithril ores, a few 500 exp cards, a few lv 5 gems, 3 glowing awakening stones, some team storagable exp cards, ect.

it’s nothing game breaking not to mention you can get lv 315 in a day if you tried hard. lv 8 gems take a lot of effort but you can buy them from others on the market if you wanted to. lv 7 gems takes time but it is doable even for lazy and non-zealous people such as myself.

btw we already got some rewards. 40 exp tomes is a lot not to mention the large amount of multiply tokens.

Well, I’d rather them do it how they did than roll back the servers like a week, cuz then everyone would lose massive progress.

I don’t have a problem with how it was handled. I was conflicted at the time because my account was “guilty until proven innocent” which I didn’t think was a good way to handle it.

I do believe that removing the items that way instead of rolling back was preferable though and advocated it even before they announced they would be doing it that way. Still haven’t gotten my compensation that everyone is complaining about though, just the exp tomes/reset vouchers. I also had no items removed from my account, because I didn’t get/keep any of the valuable ones.

I’m still not even sure what drops on my account were the ones that lead it to being suspended. I easily could’ve gotten something that I didn’t even know was DPK, some random crafting mat or something that lead me to being “temporarily suspended.”

I like when the game is fun and it has times where its a lot of fun. Like game release was fun but i knew nothing so i couldn’t get as good as some of the other players. r8 release was fun since it challenged me to survive while questing on new maps. rank reset event was fun since it allowed me to experiment like crazy for a week or so. The game has its fun moments but right now its in a lul. Glitches have hurt the market for the time being, the only thing to really do is gear your characters and wait, and leticia cubes basically rektd the portium price so its barely worth it to even grind crystal mine. Basically the game needs a good kick to get it rolling again.
