Will TOS NA fail?

I don’t think we mean to be so rude as to push you away (probably). these kinds of threads pop up all the time and I think the community as a whole are rather sick of them. the “when will it come out/how bad is it/YOUR DREAMS MEAN NOTHING” schtick.
we’re as clueless as the next guy that hears about the game and wanders in here, and I don’t think this place is “toxic”. we’re just tired of waiting and we’re tired of having to wait with people who don’t understand that.

To be fair, the class structure is reminiscent of RO. Clearly, it is much larger, but the basic progression is familiar, and skills interact in recognizable ways. Beyond that, the music, and art style, they are very different.

@OP, honestly, nobody knows. The best bet you have is to look at IMC’s history with other titles that have gone F2P. Wolfknights and Granado Espada are both IMC related titles. I know nothing about Wolfknights, but the P2W argument has come up a couple times with GE. Nonetheless, it is 2016, and many games have been successful with microtransactions, without becoming P2W. We can only wait and see.

I dont see why this game would fail, if anything the players of the game will become more engrossed in playing the game simply for competition and thats always a selling point for games that include PvP.

PvE wise the game is very interactive when it comes to engaging players into fighting the world bosses, which also leads to players communicating more, though sometimes that isnt always a good thing (rude people yo.)

This game is looking to be a nice time with alot of neat content and beautiful environments.

though I’m still interested in playing BDO just for a chance to explore that games overworld.

I played in the ICBT2, and for a few weeks on the Korean server. If they’ve changed things in the last few months, my info will be out of date.

Here it is…

There was a monthly “token” to purchase that gave an exp boost and a small speed boost. It’s not stackable, so it’s actually more like PTP with the option of FTP access at a disadvantaged state. It’s also sellable on the in-game market, and I managed to earn enough silver to purchase one of the tokens with in-game currency within a few days. Most people had a token.

There were also poppable exp books. A 30% boost for an hour IIRC and pretty expensive to use constantly.

Of course there is always the issue that any sellable cash item means people can indirectly turn real cash into in-game cash. It’s not ideal, but something I am willing to accept.

Overall, I thought it was a good system.

As for bots, didn’t see any really, but heard about people seeing some. I did, however, see people who just went afk with a rock left on their attack key.

there is no ToS NA

only international steam version (that will probably be hosted in NA)

I don’t see how naming your characters after some game’s names make you a bigger fan of another game. RO and ToS are two different games and like you said, you made 1 thread. Some dork could say “i am more active in the forum so im a bigger fan than you” and that would be as stupid. The whole “im more X than you” is something I haven’t heard since like grade 4

As for bots, it’s gonna be as bad as any other F2P game. Get used to it.

I feel this topic is a big troll bait. Better don’t bother much about it.

Does it matter? This is only a game. I never understand why mmorpgers all have a tendency of wanting their game to succeed or to “last forever.” This is just a game, and there will be other games in the future. Play it while you are enjoying yourself and when you are not, find another game that you can. That is all.

This is not stock investment, it’s no point to worry about that.

Let’s IMC worry about it in your place then, if you insist :open_mouth:

you got a lurker to log in just to like this post. baller.

this would normally be off-topic but this topic won’t be going anywhere anyway since there’s no concrete info to go on.

Some people can’t cope with life without having something to worry about. Even if their fears are unfounded and make absolutely no sense.

ToS early game focus to quests, most EXP you gain are from quest exp cards. Bot can’t do quest so they progress slowly at early game and Nexon ban bots, cheaters pretty often => you hardly see bot at mid/high lvl area.

About gold sellers. I heard you can’t trade silver through 1:1 trade, You can only buy, sell items with silver through AH, each items on market have their own min/max price range.

Most stuff has been touched on already. Yet I do want to mention that any F2P model game’s goal is to make people want to play the game, and keep the community growing.

The best way to see if the game works for you is to have patience, try it out for yourself, and then decide if you like it or not. Everyone will have a slightly different opinion on every topic under the sun, and it’d be only stupid to take our opinions and thoughts as your own.

From “what we have heard” though, IMC doesn’t want to follow a Pay to Win model. However, all that means is you can’t buy your way to the top, and that is it. We have to all wait and see on what they decide would be the best business model for the international servers, and I can only assume it will be vastly different and at least slightly more appealing than Nexon’s.

the balance problem is real and i really hope hey fix it before iOBT

They shouldn’t focus to balance much since they haven’t release all classes.

Just nerf some skills in pvp then focus to develope high level contents and new classes.

that exactly what i want xD nerf some skills in pvp. its not hard, they should have already done it.

“Will TOS NA fail?”

This is some clickbait Level of title. I was convinced OP would be a troll and am legitimately surprised. 4/10 made me check.
