Will it auto-switch to 2H bow with Mergen skills?

Say you’re equipping an xbow + offhand by default (also in weapon swap slot, with 2H bow on the other slot).

Will it auto-switch similar to cannons/rifles? Do SRs have this feature as well (e.g. equipping 2H bow by default, auto-switch to xbow + pistol when using SR skills, auto-switch back to 2H bow afterwards)

My reiter does not auto swap (from 2H bow) to Pistol mode when I wish to use retreat shot. It will swap when I use caracole though. However after using caracole it auto-swaps back to the other weapon.

Don’t know about mergen.

Thanks for your input man. What a PIA that is. Wish they’d do the same for SRs what they did for muskets/cannons.

I’m asking specifically about 2H bows because I’m thinking if I still should invest in a good xbow + offhand (likely manamana) or stick with the 2H bow I have. Not a QS3 as well so overupped GC isn’t an option.

Hope someone can confirm.

Your Mergen skills are only available with 2H bow, so they will use your 2H bow damage and stats only. If you do not have a high and strong crossbow yet, it will be cheapest to stick with a strong 2H bow, and gem it quite high/upgrade high.

Now that you said it, will the xbow + mana2x BIS combo change once R8 comes? Will there be better alternatives to mana2x? (In case you got news/update regarding that). TIA :smiley:

Uhh.
I try unequip all my bow(bare hand). set weapon on swap slot. It will auto equip weapon for me when I use archer/QS/ranger/scout skills. so I think mergen skill will do same.

So xbow+off hand will be superior than 2H bow again (except flying mob). Well aint that a shitter for 2H bow lover. I was really hoping this would change at rank 8, guess not.

Mergen is locked into 2H bow. You may stick to 2H bow only, or get 2 weapon sets (2H bow + Xbow&offhand). It will be very expensive, but I believe you can do it.

yeah talk about weapon balance :confused: X-bow already ignore defenses and have better damage with off hand. This sucks for people who can’t afford both.

2 Handed weapons are very bad in this game.
The saving grace of 2H bow is the overtuned +100% damage on flying attribute.

What are the percentages of mob that are flying type? like 20%? maybe less?

X-Bow + Offhand

  • More Sockets = easier to reach crit cap
  • Ignore defense
  • More Damage with off-hand

2H Bow

  • More dmg to flying type = not many mobs are flying :[
  • better transcendence scaling

blaaah They should just add 4 sockets to 2H Bow.
Switch Flying damage to X-Bow and gives 2H ignore defense attributes or something.

I had always wanted +100% damage to demon type on Xbow :smiling_imp:
Flying on bow. Pistol vs mutant. Cannon block pen. Musket extra damage to beast.

I really really like 100% flying 2H bow damage for scout3 dungeon 145 runs.

But yes, 6 gems for reiter is very strong.

For Rank 8 is that the only new weapon with +1 to a class? no +1 to Musk/cann? real fair D:

No other items with skill bonus for archers.

2H bow needs more love. :’(

They should probably at least add some cards that would trigger chance to “levitate” a non-flying monster for a few seconds, making him a flying-type for the duration.

While we’re at it, do players/monsters affected by raise become flying types? Or does that mechanic not exist at all?

no info about next white bow and xbow?

It used to but then they patched a bug regarding retreat shot and since then it won’t auto swap. It’s supposed to. For example that quarrel shooter skill still auto swaps to crossbow when you use the skill. They need to fix retreat shot again.

AFAIK, they become flying type when raised.
