Why TOS don't have ASSASSIN class

If Ragnarok Online has have swordsman, archer, thief, mage, merchant and acolyte…
Why TOS don’t have assassin class?

did imc don’t want to surpass wizard and cleric when comes DPS thing? and for sure swordsman is still behind

did imc does not bother to make more dps thing? instead… wizard and cleric is top priority and focus into rank 9 and so on,

did imc don’t know how to balance the critical chance and evasion passive skills?

did imc don’t want to put this class cause of unbalance thing, maybe assassin is OP on this game if imc add them…

if comes,… this will be a new meta melee DPS…

what do you think guys…any thoughts?

Just gonna stop you there, RO is RO.

ToS is ToS.

One takes heavy influence from the other, but they aren’t the same game. Otherwise people would be more complaining about how many skills happen to kick you off the game and how Gravity sucks ■■■■.

Also, as a light thing, Rogues if they get their damage in, do serious burst DPS. Which is what you’d expect from a pseudo assassin class.

(Also Assassins would probably die where it matters, since they’re focused on single target damage in the case of most games.)

Because the class name would be censored so fast by the game itself :joy:

RO also have monks with trifecta punch, Paladins with heal, shield reflect and grand cross and Royal guards why stop at assassin class why not have those also???

Seriously though maybe they should consider having another Class arche-type

Rogue.

You haven’t seen Cloak + Backstab?

If you wanna play RO,

here: http://www.warpportal.com/index.aspx

off you go then.

As long as you have Scout in your build with Cloaking, you are an assassin.

Grab Musketeer, you assassinate enemies with rifle.
Grab Cannoneer, you assassinate enemies with cannon.
Those 2 classes allow you to 1-2 shots most players in PvP (depends on various situations ofc).

You want a melee assassin class? You have Rogue for that and Hackapell at r8 also has close range skills. So Hackapell is your mounted assassin.

This guy nailed it. It’s exactly what I think.

“Oh, but I don’t want to use any kind of bow or xbow while being an assassin, even tho I can clearly use meele weapons and skills (such as the guy mentioned)”

Well, there’s the Shinobi class too

“No, I want a class named assassin, I want to use sonic boom and venom”

Well, you can pick scout or rogue plus wugushi, wugushi have poison

“no, I want assassin/thief”

So the problem might be you, not the game, fam. Go back to RO.

If just going by melee, high evasion, hi-speed multi hit attacks and crit overlord killer. That would be fencer, if shinobi was released as a lower rank there be a lot of NinjaFencer RPing as assassins by now.
Or just pary R9 rolls badly for every current build so you can go Fen3>Shin for R9.

lol make a rogue scout hackapell and don’t use the mount

swordsassin

the bigger problem is how the game was advertised as “the next RO”. That’s why we’re getting these pre-renewal RO casuals who don’t even know there’s still iRO. (which I’ve been playing until my isp somehow had a problem with accessing the game; the game’s actually more balanced, less bots, lots of events and well-managed although the population is low and newer content don’t come often.)

@tonyostark Imc never advertise tos as next ro. Only dumb gemscool did that and forced to take down by imc

Yep. I never said IMC did that kind of advertising.

This game design doesn’t support high attack speed, so they decide take it out :smirk:

"did imc don’t want to surpass wizard and cleric when comes DPS thing?"
Let me laugh about this hard LOL

Seems like you haven’t seen a musketeers/cannoneer with cloaking in PvP. The best idea anyone could thought of, giving invisibility to ranged characters with dps + some of them with hard burst.

This post was flagged by the community and is temporarily hidden.

They never said its the next RO, they never did …Only we the player assume that it is so, that’s all and that’s that.

I will help bring back to topic

ToS offer diversity of class and stats build. Merchant only lock one class for opening shop. Thief or assassin will lock evade and high crit class

Wizard cant crit. Cleric has high dps but with restrictions. Archer has low crit dmg. Meanwhile swordsman still suffer from hitting air

So… in the end, you just want a semi-god character?
