it’s too late now. Classes that should have been part of the thief tree have already been dispersed through archer/swordsman

corsair, shinobi, rogue, scout. It’s a shame they didn’t go for the thief archtype, assassin was my favorite from RO, but I don’t think it’s a possibility.

Unfortunately no…was my favorite kind of char but i really like ToS more than i liked RO.

They just said it’s a RO-Like before iCBT, and Kim said RO was ToS’s big brother… Sounds like it was meant to be the next RO, but players are certainly full of dreams and IMC said nothing related to that.

Shinobi should be sort of an assassin class, but they went Naruto mode.

Just because another game like RO has something, it does not automatically mean that TOS should have or needs it.

You ask why they didn’t include Assassin? Because they either

  1. decided that they don’t need/want an Assassin class or
  2. they never had an Assassin class for this game in mind or
  3. maybe they have it planned as a future class.

I think you either mean “because assassin is not magical and IMC hates physical classes” or “because assassin is not a ranged class and IMC hates melee”. Melee just means “short ranged”, it says nothing about magical or physical.
