Why nerf Running Shot + Retreat Shot?

This game had unusually small amount of information provided by its publisher(IMC), because we were supposed to have fun finding hidden synergies between skills right?
Was it too over-balanced?
Fletchers could still EASILY out dps QS-SR, even Ele3+Warlocks could do more nuking.
Now QS and SR has no synergy other than having +3 movement speed while doing the running shot. Also using retreatshot while running shot now only has a demerit because using skills wont slow down the movement speed.
I would have never chose this build if they had let us know that combo was ‘NOT INTENDED’ before hand.
This patch was first applied when IMC could not fix Retreat Shot glitch (Retreat shot being turned off automatically when there are more than 5 mobs on target) in kTOS for 3 weeks and people were furious about their imcompence. (This is widely known to kTOS users)
And they could only fix it by removing the autoattack + retreat shot combination and now I am the victim of their imcompetence.

Is this how IMC justify ‘role-play’?
Boss killing = fletchers
Mob Grinding = ele3-warlock
and no other build should take the role huh…

If you recall Running shot used to be a pretty mediocre skill.
They just slapped damage on it, but in turn that ended up transferring to retreat shot which wasn’t the intent when they slapped damage onto Quarrel Shooter.

When they first introduced this game,
they showed a movie clip of ‘Feint + Barrage’ combo and said its up to users to find the kind of synergy and find fun in that. lol

I knew they did not care about what they said before but… this is just too disappointing.

All the non-tradable gears (Didel, Virtov sets, ET items)… I mean why did I farm SO FUKING HARD to get these lol

Feint + Barrage is an intended hidden interaction coded in by them.

Running Shot + Retreat Shot was an oversight from throwing damage on Running shot.

Don’t really bother being surprised that a Defense class might not lead to your penultimate damage.
QS3 Wugushi’s are currently on suicide watch with every balance patch.

Why are Quarrel C3 Wugu on watch, what is the deal with them?

Because running shot turned retreat shot into a drive-by.

I’m a SR and whoever gets QS3 pretty much deserves it.

Falconer is an offense class, Fletcher is a producing class

Oh yeah now I recall, most of archer classes were mediocre at best :slight_smile:

I am not saying if it was really intended or not.
They made free class choosing system and there were people who chose certain build because of certain synergies like how musket+Falconer had.
However ‘Circling+Snipe’ was definitely OP and needed a fix (even though it was bit too much) but RS + RS wasn’t ‘that’ OP and they made from 100% synergy to 0% synergy. Like I said, I wouldn’t have gone this build if I knew they would take this much of measure.

yet they do all these changes and don’t even bother to compensate for what ever changes they do. I feel angry about their changes yet they do not even bother fixing other skill problems, hypocrisy? Insanity? Telling IMC to do the stuff over and over again and yet they do the opposite of fixing what is stated.

I wonder if I’m the only one thinking like this or am I just rambling?

imc always got their priorities messed up. gamebreaking bugs have been around for more than a month. poor game design/feature decisions (trade restrictions anyone) and overall glitchy gameplay experience.

tho i’d really want to hear some white knight rationalization right now as i really don’t see the sense of removing this combo. it doesn’t look like an unintended feature any more than the feint + barrage combo does.

Sapper class just got nerf in kTOS in yesterdays update.
I don’t understand their logic

They should at least make all these untradable items transferrable between same team and give some sort of ‘Attribute Reset Potion’ to compensate all the silver invested.

Saalus entering bug, guild dungeon entering bug…

It must be on the bottom of their priority list lol even lower priority than nerfing the sapper

I have QS3 and Running Shot is pretty OP, I never understood why they had this skill if they were supposed to be a tank/defensive class. This skill provides too much damages, if you combine that with Kneeling Shot and Quicken… you become a killing machine turret. What they did for SR was deserved, but IMC need to do something to compensate players.

it’s definitely OP at rank 4~5 but for higher level content, it just falls off like any other skills from the lower ranked classes.

Because COMMON SENSE tells me … it was called RUNNING shot and not RIDING shot. :joy:

I don’t understand this complaint at all. Running shot was always intended to boost z - atk and nothing else. The fact that it was also boosting an SR skill was clearly a bug. Of course they are going to fix their bugs.
