Are you joking? You obviously never played WoW. The game allowed you to try out multiple builds so you can enjoy the pvp and pve aspect of the game. Restricting players will make them quit, not because someone has tested all the builds.
There are so many issues with this game, but only one main problem. The biggest problem they need to fix is the bots/goldseller. It is so discouraging for new players to move on when they see people get by with botting. Bots can make hundreds of thousands or even millions a day. They can easily buy all the end game gear in just few days of bottingā¦ while we spend weeks/months to get a few piece of good gear. This game is so a heavy grind game and time is the most valuable thing in this game. (not silver or equips)ā¦ you have to spend countless hours and days of boring grinding/farming to get a piece of equip while bots can just farm silver for a few day and buy em allā¦

Except is wows main attraction its unique class system and the many different ways you can build your character? it wasnt when i used to play. Not really a good comparison.
If you are casual and donāt want/like to research donāt worry: You can clear all the quests and dungeons with suboptimal builds, the game up to that point is not hard. Iām sure that everyone here have played with someone with a weird build in a matchmaking dungeon. Basically if you have a cleric1 in your group you can faceroll every dungeon.
If you want to clear ET or do some high level pvp/gvg you will need to research, this a must for every game.

This game is about as far from hardcore as you can get. Itās not too much to ask to do a little bit of research about the game and the roles before you play, especially in an MMO.

I didnāt state that this was a hardcore game, I was merely stating that, if you are complaining about remaking your character, you obviously have not played a hardcore arpg like hardcore poe or hardcore diablo. Where death means remake, or a single balance change means remake lol.

I donāt care about putting my skill points in the wrong place.
I can always buy a skill reset potion, or reroll.
I made 4 characters in the span of two weeks because I had my stat points wrong. Nobody on this forum seems to agree on what stat point allocation is better and it pisses me off because I donāt want my character to suddenly become unplayable in 50-80 more levels.
Thereās a fantastic Dex VS str spreadsheet that is absolutely useless to new players because they donāt know what to do with all that data, and nobody seems capable of making a summary.
Short of being able to get anything clear out of these damn forums, I made the same character twice. One with dex, the other with STR. Iāll play one with my friends and catch up the other on my own.
For a physical DD :
Full STR will work.
Full DEX will work.
Hybrid will work.
Full SPR will not work.
Full INT will not work.
Iām saying āFullā, but donāt forget about CON 
Spreadsheet says :
Until āa certain levelā, full STR is better for DPS.
After āthis certain levelā, hybrid will become better.
Full DEX may be better at even higher level (lazy to look at the spreadsheet again).
While limited circle reset would surely be nice, what people donāt realize is that making build THAT flexible takes away psychological attachment to particular character, even if itās a mistake.
That said, the problem is - game is too linear early on, making levelling an alt into a punishment.
