Why I and others will quit playing

What? Like I said I have no problem paying for things.

Actually I did all that. I didn’t spend 30mins, or 1 hour, you need more than that. I spent about 5 hours. Wasn’t fun.

And yea other MMO’s might be the same. But name me a successful MMO.

I mean, you guys act like it’s just me. I am echoing thoughts of other people.

You could just say the same about bots. Bots have been around forever and in other MMOs stop complaining?

And like are you dense? Learn from your mistakes and do better? It’s a game. There is no doing better. It’s a cycle, do you not understand that? You are forever going to be rerolling to lvl280 given the current structure.

You seem intent on missing our points for the sake of arguing, so I guess I may as well stop trying to discuss this with you. Also, your exampled question in regards to bots is completely unrelated, entirely different subject matter.

I get that it isn’t fun for you, but you willingly dove into a game that has a massive level cap right off the bat. It’s impossible to make a cap that huge nothing but sunshine and rainbows.

???

idk about the rest of the thread but this post makes zero sense to me. I’ve never ever ever had to remake my character or any of my servers on MC, unless it was just because “oh it’d be fun to try some new mods”. I mean the most you have to do is rebuild something when a creeper or etc blows up some structure of yours, and that’s way different because it’s intrinsic to the gameplay where creating an infallible area and taking advantage of what used to be a hindrance is a thing. You can create safeguards in-game for yourself, on the same character, on the same world, in the case that you die and lose things you have on hand (no, buying skill resets from a cash shop to repair a misclick not the same. rerolling an entire character and replaying the entire game for that same mistake is not the same either). Creepers can blow up parts of your fortress as many times as you’d like, but you’d still have the same house, the same world, the same etc to rebuild. Moreover, you literally pay once for minecraft and never again. Every single mistake is repairable, and even some of the less forgiving ones are mitigated by the fact that the world generation is virtually infinite and finding resources is realistic.

Research on minecraft is mostly done after you begin playing to progressively learn about the game. It is also mostly done so you can play better, rather than just a walking-on-eggshells-will-i-fuck-up-forever-if-i-dont-read-this-wiki type thing.

It’s just a completely different game? I don’t see the point this post is trying to make at all am I missing something

And for the record, I don’t even think it’s necessarily bad that this game is grindy nor do I particularily feel as if skill resets are necessary, because honestly, I feel like the game was made to be this way, bad or not. But if someone says it’s not fun, then they do actually have a valid point because honestly, the amount of people who loooove to reroll is probably only on par to the amount of people who hate it.

Questing is what made me quit the game actually.

Rerolling is one thing, going through 1000+ boring as hell fetch quests just to get a new character to rank 6 is another thing.

ez to bots, ez to ppl who have $ power and abuse.

Agreed 100%. This isn’t some hardcore competitive rpg. Especially with the lame 1% drop rates, limited dungeon runs and overpriced TP/costume costs really ruin this game too. There is zero sense of achievement or motivation to move on. I can easily predict this game dying off in less than a year.

Any mmo on their launch can be predicted to die within the first year of release. lol

“This games biggest flaw is it makes you realize very fast that you’re wasting your time”

OP sounds like an emo kid
Probably listens to this while he levels up

… I don’t have the patience to read this thread, but I have always preferred games that you have to do a little research on in order to know what your doing. Seriously, screw hand holding MMOs. They are the most boring, tutorial after tutorial filled games. Try Aura Kingdom.

Also, many MMOs have stat and skill potions, heck some have whole class changing potions. This is why a lot of people are demanding circle resets as well. Ragnarok Online is like 15+ years old and has skill/stat potions though. Not sure when they were implemented, but at least 5-6 years ago. I just find it weird you get mad about research, but then get mad when you pick the wrong circle so you’ve wasted time, and get mad again when people make a mistake with their stats. Like whut even…

The whole game is based about getting a good mix of classes and skills to have a good combo. It is the WHOLE point of this game. If you get 1 in all class of swordsman and you figure it sucks when you reach 230, too bad, you screwed a character, start again with a new one.

Or maybe is it the best combo ever but nobody used it properly!?

There is definitely a lot to consider when leveling a character, even if the path seems pretty straight forward. Whether or not you sacrifice a rank to advance a class type can have potentially drastic effects to your possible dream build.

IMC is balancing classes like a MOBA, each week new nerfs/buffs on KTOS. The problem is that on MOBAs you can just start a new game with a new champion in few minutes.

Classes need to be balanced ? Yes. But IMC should get feedback from players, test the changes and each 6 months period release a huge patch with lots nerfs/buffs, get community feedback again and prepare a new patch in 6 months.

Its not about make a mistake and cry to level again, its about have the character you want, enjoy your choices and have your fun destroyed because IMC changed your class mechanic.

We don’t know yet how they will handle the patches on the international server.
We did not have any yet. We can only complain if they actually do the same thing then in Ktos

Maybe they will have learned something and make it differently!

Or maybe not. We will see I guess

There is 1000 real reasons to leave this game and i enter into a topic to read this crap. A crybabe that never played a mmorpg and want to reset his toon and redistribute points easily.

Some things the dev can change and improve on, but the fundamental aspect of the game won’t.

He has his own reason and you cannot judge them on that. Let him leave in piece and throw some fish later.

A lot of things that could greatly benefit from change doesn’t involve the fundamental aspect of the game. xD

People like to experiment and try different builds without having to invest hundreds of hours on a new toon. Imagine rerolling when you are at lvl 600? I don’t know what kind of lives everyone leads here, but I don’t have the time to spend thousands of hours to make new chars and running through the quests. I will give this game props for the maps and quests. I thoroughly enjoyed doing them. Even more so than other big mmorpgs.

If you try out all possible builds you’ll leave in a month. Expecting that, better restrict the player base on those who’ll play with a few builds for more than a year.

i would guess when the lvl cap will be raised, the earlier lvlst might need less exp to lvl up, speeding up the lvling to 280, just like some other mmos do that. (in wow you need less exp in the last expansion, in ro after rebirth lvling was faster cause you could team up with rebirth chars)

why not just make the patching like in pristontale. that game never really got any skill changes (nerfs/buffs), and you could reskill on every rank up for free. would be bad to screw up on the last rank :x
