???
idk about the rest of the thread but this post makes zero sense to me. I’ve never ever ever had to remake my character or any of my servers on MC, unless it was just because “oh it’d be fun to try some new mods”. I mean the most you have to do is rebuild something when a creeper or etc blows up some structure of yours, and that’s way different because it’s intrinsic to the gameplay where creating an infallible area and taking advantage of what used to be a hindrance is a thing. You can create safeguards in-game for yourself, on the same character, on the same world, in the case that you die and lose things you have on hand (no, buying skill resets from a cash shop to repair a misclick not the same. rerolling an entire character and replaying the entire game for that same mistake is not the same either). Creepers can blow up parts of your fortress as many times as you’d like, but you’d still have the same house, the same world, the same etc to rebuild. Moreover, you literally pay once for minecraft and never again. Every single mistake is repairable, and even some of the less forgiving ones are mitigated by the fact that the world generation is virtually infinite and finding resources is realistic.
Research on minecraft is mostly done after you begin playing to progressively learn about the game. It is also mostly done so you can play better, rather than just a walking-on-eggshells-will-i-fuck-up-forever-if-i-dont-read-this-wiki type thing.
It’s just a completely different game? I don’t see the point this post is trying to make at all am I missing something
And for the record, I don’t even think it’s necessarily bad that this game is grindy nor do I particularily feel as if skill resets are necessary, because honestly, I feel like the game was made to be this way, bad or not. But if someone says it’s not fun, then they do actually have a valid point because honestly, the amount of people who loooove to reroll is probably only on par to the amount of people who hate it.
