This is where we have a difference of opinion, there is nothing wrong with this game besides a few minor mechanic changes and some bugs[/quote]
Ok I guess I forgot what I was talking to, done here

Ok I guess I forgot what I was talking to, done here
o/ hope you find a game for you
I’m still playing this game. I hope you find better ways to troll
What level and server out of curiosity?
What loli disappointed you before licker senpai?
whispers Shoujo Ramune
Satisfied customers ? Yes, if you like the products you bought to be partially broken then I’ll understand. If you also like that the company that sold you this product ignores you when you call them to say it is broken then I understand.
For my part, I like the game but I’m nowhere near satisfied. Because I like that the products I buy actually WORK.
You’re saying we want the game to be something it’s not but that’s not it.
The issue is that the game is not itself yet. The game is not even a quarter complete and i’m not referring to the fact that the full game content is not yet released.
It’s obvious that the list of the problems the game has currently is huge and only about 5% of it has been partially covered by IMC ( Server Transfers , bots&gold sellers).
Name a MMO release in history, that hasn’t had a ton of bugs and problems, pro tip you couldn’t because something always almost goes incredibly wrong especially in early access it takes time and patience to solve all of it, none of which these negative complaint threads are going to fix
These people are not complaining about bugs or broken mechanics to those who are i say, chill wait it out its still early days OP is upset about the games style itself and if they don’t like the way the game is meant to be played they should be playing something else period, if you didn’t like repetitive grinding korean-esk time sink MMO’s then you shouldn’t be complaining you should move on, and let everyone else enjoy the game
First of all, any MMORPG nowadays barely live up to their hype, because players are getting neutral to any MMO live and go.
RO and WoW because that time has not many choice, MMO are pretty fresh genre and common to that generation.
Second, most ex-RO are the majority supporters on this game but they have grown old, they don’t involve that much in the game anymore or only few hours in a week, not even a day maybe after a few days hype and nostalgia.
Third, for new generation around college age 18-25 they have many other choices and not really used to such old-school game, they might also too busy in mobile games already.
Forth, the game is not attractive enough with generic contents to play long enough. The gameplay is fun but they need more creative features to make peoples wanna try out the game. Example: Multi-Party Dungeon, more C3 class quest/event/equipment/hidden skill, more challenging boss, Templar can create 10-players party and etc.
Aselia the Eternal’s Kaori?
You are only as old as you feel on the inside.
I’ve played many MMOs starting from early access that had very few issues.
One example is FF14. I’ve leveled up all the way to max level and did almost all the dungeons & primordials.
Personally, I had 0 issues on the early days of that game. The ping was good , the quests were working properly, the optimisation was good and all the skills worked properly.
The only reason i stopped playing is because I couldn’t afford paying monthly fees back then.
Also, I agree with OP on some points that should be tackled by IMC in the futur including challenge. When i saw the bosses on the trailer, I thought they would have special mechanics, avoid area of effects that makes it challenging to kill. But Atm, all you have to do (if you’re squichy) is go out of the red zone and come back when the skills is done to hit the boss.
But, these things are not the priority since there is much that has to be fixed before adding content or enhancing the existing one.
SPOILER ALERT!
Nothing ever lives up to the hype…
Anyway, one thing that caught my eye me from this rant was when you said “just like that OTHER guy said”. First of all, the “not living up to their hype” thing is because you tend to fall in love based on other people’s words and praises towards a certain thing. Watching the trailers that put the game on a pedestal of greatness is something you should take in with a grain of salt because trailers are made for the purpose of making the thing sell.
Play the game yourself, be that guy who is 280 and ranting, not the guy who puts himself/" herself" on the shoes of someone who is 280.
I played FFXIV on release too, and i had so many issues mail not sending properly quests bugging out, my class wouldn’t change
You realize FFXIV:ARR was a re release of the same game on the same engine, that was incredibly buggy and so broken that they had to scratch the entire thing turn off all the servers and develop it more and then release it again
its also been in development since 2005, compare that to ToS development timeline
They had two whole games to get it right so i would hope problems would be minimal
Sorry , I meant FFXIV:ARR.
I haven’t played the original game. But, for my friends and I, FFXIV:ARR was complete and didn’t have any issues.
Your point is still kind of irrelevant though, seeing as it was so bad in the beginning they had to remake it and its been in development for 11 years now i can’t really see the comparison to ToS
Everything launches with problems, period you can’t anticipate everything with controlled testing groups
Please don’t confuse what im talking about with FFXI which is a completely different game entirely
So maybe they should do the same as FF14.
Because releasing Tos to F2P players with its current state is a time bomb.
Honestly, with the amount of work they have gotten done in the last month i think we might end up being pleasantly surprised with the optimization that is going to be soon to come, unless this is just a cash grab
I have seen MMO’s do less with more time then IMC imo
Watch out guys the vocal minority is replying to everyone in the thread.
This is a game made in Korea. Korea is in Asia. Asians love their grind games. It was prevalent it was going to have grind, what were all of you expecting? The challenge is trying to covet all that high-end gear and tackle increasingly tougher and tougher bosses (in terms of their million hp and one shotting abilities). The feeling of progressive achievements that will stay long term rather than the short satisfaction of victory. The difficulty in reaching for greater heights for your character. See numbers explode on your screen that sets your entire body shuddering in bliss as the monster explodes into a billion, itsy bitsy pieces.
Also, this can be a social game where you quest and do stuff with other people that you make friends with or your own RL friends. Maplestory PQs, anyone?
I’m beginning to think this is a cash grab.
I mean, Staff_Julie will quit and she was the only staff that really tried to help the players.
Also, Community managers are not involved with the community apart from the weekly announcements which is a bad sign.
