Its like the most unpopular class even though its very strong. Do people just overlook it for the falconeer/cannoneer combo?

I choose to play SR just because I like the play style and costume. I know it sounds funny. I do not care if it is weaker than other classes on how people discuss and analyze SR.
and… yes, I would like to ask for suggestion about my class path as well lol
Archer C1 > Ranger C3 > Rogue C1 or Wugushi C1 > SR
I haven’t decide between Rogue or Wugushi yet but personally I aimed to go for Rogue 
Are you sure you want to get Wugushi C1? Wugushi C1 is almost negligible. Get Wugushi if you’re going to C2 or even C3, in my honest opinion.

Can SR set traps? I like the mounted long range type :3
Traps require the SR to unmount. At the moment, with that awful pet AI, don’t even go near those builds unless you feel like chasing your pet in the middle of a boss fight/grind.
It’s the pet who actually plays the game with a servant, not the player in TOS XD

I want to do it but the skills dont look very exciting honestly. I’m not sure I can fit it in. I wanted to do a sapper or wugushi build but am open to anything. What goes well with an SR? I can’t tell.
Archerx3, wugushi x2, SR 2?
Archer 1, ranger 3? rogue 1, SR 2?
can it work with QS?
A question for SRs…is the mount necessary? I don’t really like how the pets look in this game but I love the SR costume. I know I lose out on some stats from the pet.

SR is actually pretty strong. Retreat Shot with Running Shot is one of the strongest combos in the game - find a video of it in action (I’m at work).
The AoE range and ratio of Retreating Shot is massive. It just enforces a playstyle that I don’t like along with the shitty mount system.

The people that get RS, they just want to mount.
Most skills are horrible and Retreat Shot is bugged at time. Sometimes you have to hold the button, sometimes you have to just press it and leave. Otherwise it just stops after few bullets.
Sum with this the problem with companions in dungeons: they have some bugs and they also don’t let you recover full hp in a bonfire.
After 5 archers made between those tests, this is the second worst class I ever played, losing only to Hunter c3.

Because SR is not that versatile. Nevertheless, it’s a good class.
Retreat Shot is one of the best AOE’s in the game under certain conditions.
Because this class contradicts itself and has mostly lackluster skills.
Except Retreat shot and its 0 cd spam attack, all hes skills are channeled, and require you to be stationary, effectively negating your mount speed bonus and due to this u can’t use this class with Rogue’s sneak hit to take advantage of the mobility.
More so, except retreat shot, all of SR skills are some kind of copy-pasted
multi-shots and nothing more, and pretty “meh”, its 0 cd attack is pathetic and does nothing except chugging on your SP, Crit shot spam is way better.
Feels this class was rushed and wasn’t polished, it needs a big overhaul.
Will you spend 2 ranks just to have 1 good AOE skills on 40 sec CD?

What is sad about this is that I, as many others, love the SR concept. I love the ability to mount, to be a mobile archer. I also like the use of pistols. Unfortunately I use my wugushi/fletcher skills basically because that’s what’s doing damage.
And when you try a SR skill and it automatically changes weapons to do so, it freezes for a sec. When you are already equiped with a pistol this doesn’t happen. Apparently the game also don’t keep the weapon swap in buffer or something like that 
It’s just unplayable for me at this moment, I gave up on it until they fix the class.
I have played ST in the icbt2. DMG from retreating shot is A LOT and great AoE. but you have to mounted to use. If you unmounted to use other class skill. Your *** pet run toward mobs and start attacking. (and for those who didint put any silver on pet like me) it will die pretty fast and become stunned for sometimes. Even if you upgrade your pet (which I do afterward) pet AI is stupid and you have to chase your pet into the middle of mobs. And if you have a lot of ping, sometimes you will stand there like an idiot who trying to mount (in the center of mobs).

Running shot is a Quarrel Shooter skill, isn’t it? It’s like me saying that my SR is okay because my fletcher skills are doing decent damage.
