Why does everyone want Team Battle Arena?

Isn’t pvp kinda meh compared to the glory of what some of us call battlegrounds?!

I guess I have to give more of an introduction than that. Battlegrounds was a mini game system for Ragnarok Online that prioritized objectives over kills. Usually this would involve breaking some stone or transferring a flag from one base to another. Of course the easiest way to do so would be killing off the other team, but there are objective focused strategies as well.

First game is deathmatch. Second is tower defense.

Isn’t this so much more fun than Team Battle Arena? I feel like battle arena is a cheap form of pvp simply because IMC didn’t want to make cool maps/minigames. Rather they throw everyone into a tiny room and call it a day.

In a game wheres the main activity is repetitively grinding your way to the level cap, battling others in a somewhat controlled and ‘organised,’ yet unbalanced environment is a welcomed change, just for kicks and giggles.

RO took years before they even had good WoE system and a lot longer before battlegrounds were even implemented… Not to mention we got so many classes. I agree that team battle arena is preety meh but it’s a start and is a good evaluation as to how they can implement future pvp grounds.

They can’t really take the same pace as RO, MMO standard is much higher now, if they don’t improve fast, people move on.

i hope they won’t take years to give us team battle league. After reaching level 240+ I am for the most part bored with just dueling or grinding because people complain too much when you duel them (especially if they lose), or they reject/ignore the duel request. I much rather have something I can queue up for in tree of savior and jump right into PvP. Someplace where everyone who goes into it already knows we came to fight. These guild wars are laggy or persons just don’t show up, or you enter the map with some random Wugushi trying to poison you. Even if they just gave the 2v2 thing so many of us would feel better. Even if team battle league was all in Korean at this point…

^^ I never implied they should take the same pace as RO. I implied we should have team battle arena asap but don’t compare a pvp system from a game that’s been over years to a game that just came out months internationally.
