Cafrisun isn’t a luxury, it’s cheap. it’s farmed so much that literally a few talt will get you a whole set. And if you care about armor boosting your dps, there isn’t much competition to the cafrisun set, especially at early levels.

Shh, guys, let OP believe what he wants. Judging from the sounds of it, he isn’t that high a level yet. He’ll realize how Cafrisun helps when he can’t one-shot or two-shot a monster anymore~
Cafrisun is awesome for auto-attackers, but honestly, you can live without it if you’re more of a skill spammer.

you could rush to lvl 100 and the cafrisun set would still be 1 of the best sets you could for lvl 100 and beyond lol. Look at the name of the thread, We are giving reasons as to why alot of people use cafrisun, we’re not trying to convince OP to use it himself. His question was answered with great detail and then he pretty much went full troll afterwards.
If you can’t afford cafrisun on your first characte playthrough, that’s fine. No one is holding it against you lol.

Swell Left/Right Arm increases patk and matk, therefore only increase damages which are affected by them, e.g. basic attacks, spells, patk based dots, etc.

Cafrisun aside, with efficent leveling using, quests, dungeons , cards and later missions, it is easy to just work past to the next gear tier level. Also early mobs are practice, don’t pose much of a threat and just there to annoy players when they remake alts.
Later on, gear recipes are set to what 2%-1%? drop rate and the mats can be 6%-1%? drop rate? The diversity of gear is a little poor 170 up and there is no regular 280 gear yet.
Game isn’t in a complete state, lacks content, poor performance, bugs/crashes, and imc doesn’t create events for the community.

So does every other character for a good portion of the game. It’s not necessary for most builds, but for oh… I don’t know… Support characters? Then yes, it does help a lot.
Is it overhyped? 100% yes.
Does that make it less useful? No.
Just because you don’t think it’s useful does not render it useless. Unless someone went and declared you King/Queen of Savior in my absence in the last few days. I wouldn’t have even responded but this is something that several other new players had asked about and the information from other players in this thread is actually very useful about how damage works in this game.
Some people also aren’t interested in using skills to take down 1-2 mobs at a time. Some people like being able to hold down their attack and just blast through the first 100 levels in a few hours.
To each their own.
But that doesn’t mean you need to force your head further up your rear just to prove you can do it.

The overhyped part is more that you absolutely NEED an Arde/Kirache (expensive), Ledus Shield (“a what?”: ice arde in shield form that is untradeable for no reason), Blessing (cheap but short duration unless you’re a Priest), multiple ele-atk hats (expensive, moreso if you wanna look good), or a high atk-bonus weapon (spears are a good earlyish candidate, but have a fairly low bonus if not vs large) to make it remotely good.
Cafrisun is a damn good enabler, but by itself it’s honestly trash.
If you do combo it, it’s quite nice doubling your bonus damage- adds 200-300 damage per hit on my Corsair, and I’m looking forward to what Venier + Manamana will do (>500 ele-atk between them)

Oh I totally agree that it’s not useful if you don’t get buffs lol. But I still highly recommend it to anyone under 100 with about 15k to spare who uses priest/pardoner buffs at all. Esp if you happen to have (or are) a pyro with the additional fire attack skill. It all adds up quite nicely.
