Tree of Savior Forum

Why are you guys complaining so much about the rng costumes?

I dont quite get it, everything in this game is rng-based.

Are you going to randomly disconnect/crash and lose your dungeon/mission/whatever run? rng

Are you going to die because you got stuck in animation? rng

Are you going to talk to the sallus npc and get in? rng

Are you going to get a hook64 user against you in TBL? rng

Are you going to lose the drop you worked hard because of the stupid DPK system? rng

Are you going to get boss drops? rng

And the list goes on… huehuehue

Well, yesterday a lot of people lost 2 entries for dungeon because the entire group crashed twice.

Too many negative effects. Gotta complain.

Case 1
Buy gacha hoping to get X item, got Y item, feel unhappy and dissatisfied
-negative emotions may in long term negatively affect mental health
-unable to concentrate on game because don’t have pretty costume
-negative impact on gaming performance
-might cause player to smash their keyboard causing extra money to replace another keyboard
-might cause damage to surrounding people and objects when smashing keyboard

Case 2
Buy gacha hoping to get X item, got Y item, buy more gacha
-additional spendings, extra damage to wallet
-wont have extra money to buy cat food
-too many unwanted costumes in the inventory
-unwanted costumes wasting precious inventory weight

Case 3
Buy gacha hoping to get X item, got X item in 1 try
-too happy cant concentrate on game
-negatively impact on gaming performance
-may become subject of jealousy

Case 4
Dont buy anything (credit to damienjp)
-dont get anything

Case 5
Gotta all-out support the introduction of Gacha
-30TP each is too cheap
-have infinite backups from the invincible shiny credit card
-fertilizing the tree
-nothing is important compare to cash shop stuff
-masochist
-no fun if things can be obtained is too easy

Case 6
Gotta all-out support the introduction of Gacha even if I won’t buy it
-the fun of playing tree of forum is to watch the tree burn

because gm/staff didn’t say I cannot complain

sue me?

Don’t understand the point of complain too. If a company comes out a product and one doesn’t like it, just don’t buy. When the company sees that the product is unpopular they will readjust their strategy and come up with products that their audience like.

Because no one love paid RNG.

Off-topic: Is that the same show used for “the current state of ToS” videos?

That camera-work is dizzying AF.

On-topic: This was bound to happen sooner or later, we can complain all we want, until their income takes a noticeable hit, it won’t matter.

You answered your own question there.

The point of complaining is to inform IMC they wont buy, which is something IMC will want to know I they have half a brain.

IMC probably thinks others will buy, anyways, which is admittingly probably true, though.

Gotta milk what little cow is left!

So the current and the most sensible type of premium store doesn’t work? We need to introduce a system identical to that of Mobage and run the risk of further losses, only to find out it does not work? Well, so let’s wait until all the channels are limited to 1 (still somehow there are ch2 somewhere). Again can’t go on instances or missions. Because the number of channels here will also be limited too.

Whisk the server Orsha because the costs.
The next will be a SEA because the costs.
A Fedimian die in the amount of connectivity problems because the IMC.

What is the sense to mess with players who are your way to make money?

it shows us what they’re true priorities are and thats our wallets.

It wouldn’t be a problem/it would be better if:

A) The crappiest item in the gacha was worth 75% of the cost.

B) You could still buy costumes from the store, new and old, at current (or reduced) prices.

C) Log in points could be used to purchase some version of the cube with “useful” non-TP items that uses the same RNG formula as the TP version so players can sort of try it before the buy it.

Who doesn’t like the idea of potentially getting a cash item for cheaper than you’d have to pay for it to purchase it directly? Of course. That’s the appeal.

Who likes getting 15 HP potions (apples) or a freakin silver anvil for $3.00? Not me.

I don’t mind if all new head ornaments are released through gacha and in the exchange shop exclusively–you can buy them on the market now. That’s a great move. Costumes should still be available for purchase. YES they’re overpriced. I’d still rather drop the money for those than use a stupid gachapon.

I’m gonna complain and loudly when I do because I spend a good amount of cash on this game each month. I’m not a whale but I still drop a decent amount getting new costumes for multiple characters and whatnot monthly. I’d love to see them introduce a fair gachapon and still keep the ability for players to buy costumes. They’re removing all but c3 costumes from the shop for direct purchase.

Instead of doing something smart, because I’m goin to assume the issue is they aren’t making as much money as they want off of the TP store, is to reduce the prices a bit and see if that boosts sales.

They need money to pay people to fix the issues that are there with the game. I mean they have to turn a profit. They aren’t a AAA company that can scrap a game and rebuild it like some other company I won’t name. Hell that game forces a sub and still manages to have a cash shop.

But no. Here, enjoy your 15 x 50% heal apple. For $3.00.

Where is the HUE option ?

Uh, whiteknight detected!

The problem is not with rng itself, it is with money. Gachas and rng are fine as long as only ingame currency is needed. But once they get to real money, the fun is over. When you pay with real dollars, you want to get what you wanted, not some random gacha fillers that you wont ever use.
