It wouldn’t be a problem/it would be better if:
A) The crappiest item in the gacha was worth 75% of the cost.
B) You could still buy costumes from the store, new and old, at current (or reduced) prices.
C) Log in points could be used to purchase some version of the cube with “useful” non-TP items that uses the same RNG formula as the TP version so players can sort of try it before the buy it.
Who doesn’t like the idea of potentially getting a cash item for cheaper than you’d have to pay for it to purchase it directly? Of course. That’s the appeal.
Who likes getting 15 HP potions (apples) or a freakin silver anvil for $3.00? Not me.
I don’t mind if all new head ornaments are released through gacha and in the exchange shop exclusively–you can buy them on the market now. That’s a great move. Costumes should still be available for purchase. YES they’re overpriced. I’d still rather drop the money for those than use a stupid gachapon.
I’m gonna complain and loudly when I do because I spend a good amount of cash on this game each month. I’m not a whale but I still drop a decent amount getting new costumes for multiple characters and whatnot monthly. I’d love to see them introduce a fair gachapon and still keep the ability for players to buy costumes. They’re removing all but c3 costumes from the shop for direct purchase.
Instead of doing something smart, because I’m goin to assume the issue is they aren’t making as much money as they want off of the TP store, is to reduce the prices a bit and see if that boosts sales.
They need money to pay people to fix the issues that are there with the game. I mean they have to turn a profit. They aren’t a AAA company that can scrap a game and rebuild it like some other company I won’t name. Hell that game forces a sub and still manages to have a cash shop.
But no. Here, enjoy your 15 x 50% heal apple. For $3.00.
