If a bot is reported, it should be dealt within an expedient manner. Removing them en masse every 24 hours gives the bots 24 hours to do whatever they want. While this still removes them, I’m still seeing plenty of bots in the lower level areas. To help remedy the problem until the daily bot clean comes, GMs should be participating in cleaning too. It makes no sense for them to not be doing this.

Bots should be the least of their concerns, well… let me rephrase that… they should focus more on catching the accounts the bots are transferring and storing the silvers in.
that’s like saying “let’s fire all the minions so the company won’t make any money!!!” when the company already banked billions.

Don’t you think you’re over exaggerating? Unless the GMs are bots too, nobody will be getting banned if they are human unless it’s through the already in place 24 hour ban system.

IMC has a rather small development team, you can’t expect them to hire staff dedicated to banning bots 24/7. Bots being banned every 24 hours is actually way more frequent than I would have expected. You can count on it getting more and more sparse as the time passes.
Bots will always exist in low leveled areas; nothing can be done to stop that. The important thing is stopping bots from getting to the really high levels.
It would only take one or two GMs on for an hour once a day to solve these little ants marching around on the maps. Why does this community make so many excuses for IMC?

All of the major MMORPGs have them. No dev/pub has done a great job against them except maybe Anet and GW2, but they had the $50 cost for years and a dedicated team to remove them, but it costed alot to do that.

Nope, I have witnessed the bot trains on multiple occasions and I have reported as many as I can.
The problem is those “companies” have vast array of methods to create new account and charactera to multiple bot trains a day. But if you payed close attention, you will see less bots at higher lvl locations now vs the first couple weeks after the game is released. That is a clear sign that shows IMC is doing something and bot accounts/chars no longer live as long to reach those areas.
That is a good first step in my book.

They even have the initiative to post a huge wall of shame. And with their new and upcoming bot measures (read the dev blog), you can expect that ban rates will be even greater than it currently is.
