I didint play cbt but which has better Controller gameplay Tos or Ro1? Im not talking about game mechanic…

ToS as much as i love ragnarok it is an old game. Luckily a lot of the same design elements are in ToS but its been given a face/mechanic lift to be a little more modern.

This is… a terrible question to ask here because everyone will more than likely be biased towards Tree of Savior… being a Tree of Savior forum. But I’ll answer it anyway.
RO1 is an OLD OLD OLD game that is showing it’s age. The game has a ton of issues, and rebirth is just awful. Tree of Savior is newer, graphically superior, and musically… I kind of like ToS better.
Gameplay wise…
Tree of Savior has an action RPG component wheras RO1 didn’t have that. I, personally, prefer the action RPG component more than the click and kill sort of thing. The desync in RO1 was kind of bad too… Keyboard controls are very fluid in ToS and it’s nonexistant in RO1. In fact, you can play ToS on a gamepad… but you can’t with RO1.
Basically Tree of Savior is a very modernized successor to Ragnarok Online. I don’t think… it’s exactly fair to compare a new game to an ancient relic.

RO was better for their time than ToS is for the current time.
And I still like RO better, but it’s sadly finally dying.

Ro is simply too old to have any chance to match. But previous ToS, Ro had the best in the genre ;D
I think Tree of Savior will have a more enjoyable experience since it has modernized aspects that came from RO1.

ToS isn’t even finished yet. Of course it has problems.
We don’t yet have in-game guilds, and therefore no activities concerning guilds.
We don’t know what max level is like, or even what that max level is.
We don’t even know what all our classes are going be, let alone finding niches and ensuring game balance between these classes.
ToS by far. Most classes in RO ended up just spamming one skill or even no skills in the case of Sins and almost no skills in the case of Knights and I’m not just a fan of right click auto attacks and mostly mouse based combat anyway.
Boo I should rly make my overall feedback but I’m lazy lol… So it’s Ragnarok for me yet but because of nothing else but ToS lacks good features yet. Ragnarok’s good feature was WoE what is still kinda the best GvG war out there. WoE gave a purpose for grinding/finding new gear in Ragnarok. The other good feature in Ragnarok is cards/unique gears. ToS is a bit more aimless/purposeless grindfest yet. On the other hand if ToS will get more features it will be much more better than Ragnarok I think because of its graphics and fighting system.

@YuushaExa LOL i forgot Ragnarok is balanced said no one ever in its lifespan. Classes will always be imbalanced the best you can do is get it close and to be fair ToS classes are imbalanced they are also in beta. Ragnaroks classes are imbalanced they are going on 13 or 14 years old?

I think you mean Imbalance is the death of diversity. Have you seen the Reddit poll of something like 600 players that made rank 3/4. 109 were barbarians that’s bad for diversity not good lol.

These threads are awful. How about we focus on ToS and stop living in the past. No ■■■■ ragnarok online had more content it’s 14 years old and ToS is in beta.
