Which build would be better for PvP + PvE?

Growling has been working as intended for a long time now, those reports about buggy growling were back from may I believe.

There’s no synergy between falconer 1 and hunter 3, there’s synergy
between hunter 3 and falconer 3 though.[quote=“ZeroFoxGiven, post:10, topic:337184”]
Hovering and Pheasant to the table - both can knock Clerics or anyone out of the Safety Zone.

I believe in KToS pheasant was changed from a knockback to a stun (and only with attribute)

Hunter at PvP is bad, real bad. but it has its uses, such as : killing clerics. You’ll be using other skills from the archer tree to kill, unless, you meet a sage, in which case only hunter’s skills will do damage thanks to missile hole.

Oh :frowning: . Always loved having that utility. Even made a Falconer3 knowing I can always rely on that mechanic.

Does Sonic Strike knock down? Except for Hunter, do any other archer class has a counter against Safety Zone?

At least Cannon C2 has “Siege Burst: Circle destruction”.

Falconer still has hovering, Pheasant was changed from the knockback to the stun to give a real utility in PvE I guess, since it has a real wide AoE mass stunning would be something, so Hovering still knockbacks as far as I know.

Sonic strike doesn’t knockback, it has 30% of blinding something though.

Only problem with hovering is its RNG nature, since it attacks whatever.

They really should’ve just made it attribute at least, like when attribute is on, it becomes an AOE stun, else if off it’s knockdown by default. :frowning:

Hmm I answer one of your side question Then

%Atk is pretty good at long run but you have to know about real value.
Archer already have %Atk since R1 but show up as Multihit or Fake Multihit

EX
Multishot = 16hit = 1600%
Barrage = 5hit = 500%
Feint Barrage = 10hit = 1000% (3oh with fastest speed = 3000%)
Magic arrow = 25hit = 2500%
Covering fire = 11hit with 150% = 1650%
Snipe = 1 hit = 400%
Cannon Blast = 1 hit = 300%

Some multi hit skill = fake multi hit = %Atk skill
EX
Twins arrow = fake multi hit = 150%

now let try check dmg output (500atk vs 2000atk)

Multishot lvl15 16hit 457 base
500atk : 457+500 * 16 = 15312 | 2000atk : 457+2000*16 = 39312

Feint Barrage lvl 5 = 10hit 250 base
500atk : 250+500* 10 = 7500 | 2000atk : 250+2000*10 = 22500

Magic arrow lvl 10 = 25hit = 1139base
500atk : 1139+50025 = 40975 | 2000atk : 1139+200025 = 78475

Covering fire lvl 10 = 11hit 1404base 150%
500atk : 1404+500x1.5x11 = 31416 | 2000atk : 1404+20001.511 = 56166

Snipe lvl 10 9503base 400%
500atk : 9503+5004 = 40012 | 2000atk : 9503+20004 = 46012

Cannon Blast lvl 10 7065base 300%
500atk : 7065+5003 = 22695 | 2000atk : 7065+20003 = 27195

Twin Arrows lvl 5 320base 150%
500atk : 320+5001.5 = 1230 | 2000atk : 320+20001.5 = 3480

Twin Arrows lvl 1 151base 150%
500atk : 151+5001.5 = 977 | 2000atk : 151+20001.5 = 3226

IMC will bump agaisnt every wall trying to fix a class to eventually make it worse. That’s the message they’re sending right now.

Actually this is the masochist route, I have a QS3 Cannoneer and put on hold on due to how QS3 skills doesn’t have much sync with Cannoneer.
Basically it would go like running around a group of mobs while goin cannon shot > cannon blast > AA > x(caltrops to slow down/ pavise+teardown for knockback) > Cannon shot > AA > stoneshot (if RS is out)> repeat until the group of mobs are dead.
Which if a group of beefy 240+ mobs are chasing you, it would take a minute or two assuming you don’t die to the mage-type enemies that are in the area.

and Pavise does close to nothing after you either blast the group with a cannon or have aggroed the mobs in the first place.

That’d be where Cloaking comes in.

I agree with you though that rotation kinda takes long to finish a group. QS3 is mostly for PVP, but there are indeed other options.

Thank you! Now I can understand how it works.

My doubt now is why should I be cannoner instead of just using lvl15 multishot or rolling other class? Because cannoner has very little multihits or fake multihits.

@Aerev then which class would be a better option for pvp and pve?

Cannoneer has no fake multihits, the only multi hit is cannon barrage and it has sihtty base damage, long cd and doesn’t have a % modifier.
Don’t go cannon2 if you want to be good, go cannon2 if you want to have fun with explosions.

Cannoneer is not the best at anything.

I see…

If I want to choose the mergen route is a good idea to continue with A1QS3? Or is it better to reroll?

Or at least which good options I can choose with mergen? The only one I can see is Fletcher+Mergen but I’m sure there are more combinations :stuck_out_tongue:

If you want to proceed with A1>QS3
Your options would either be A2QS3SR3 or A2QS3SC1MUS2

If you want to reroll to mergen
A3SC3FAL1MER1

As for PvP
I can’t give advice since i don’t play pvp, i suck at it.

Why is Scout3 a better option? Seriously I don’t know why. Is it because split arrow?

The problem about mergen is it has high cooldown. Depsite it has amazing aoe and damage, majority of the time you will be on cd.

Keep in mind that in rank 8 content, most of the lower rank skills are either not spammable, or not enough damage to stay relevant alone.

That being said, lower ranks that have spammable skills are preferable to complement mergen. This is why A3-Sc3-fal-mergen(split arrow 0cd, multishot, twin arrow fillers) and A2-R1-Sc1-Fl3-mergen (magic arrow 5s, broadbeadhead DMA 10s, and 3 other 0cd skills) became extremely popular choice.

I’m really interested in the scout3+falc one but which one would be better in the long run, scout3 or fletcher3? Or is in the end a choice between more single target (fletcher) or more aoe (falc)?

Fletcher, is boss hunter. Going Mergen gives them extra burst (Arrow Sprinkle, no overheat, 40+s cooldown)

Archer3-Scout3-Falconer-Mergen, Superb Aoe from circling+mergen skills, decent single target damage thanks to lv15 Multishot, 5 overheats Twin Arrow with 7s cooldown, Arrow Sprinkle. On top of that all, it is famous because of capabilities of solo farming 145 dungeon the moment it hits rank 6, and fairly low investment.

TL;DR, Fletcher for bossing, Scout 3 for farming.

There is no better build. It is all about your objective of the game content. Again, your choice. :stuck_out_tongue:

For high lvl content is the scout build good? Or is the fletcher one better? (Not bosses but general content)

I cant comment for higher levels, but I have both scout 3 and fletcher 3 at 230+.

For lower hp mobs which comes in crowd (<30k), scout 3 LOVES those maps, however, I have problem dealing with elite monsters that comes in small group. Scout 3 just doesnt have enough tools to do high dps in aoe fast enough.

For fletcher 3 though, high density mobs is annoying. I dont have ebough aoe to kill them fast enough. However, lower density mobs with higher hp is another story. Fletcher 3 just deals massive single target damage, taking them down one by one and kite around. Fletcher rank 8 is different story, depending on going mergen or hackapelle, different play style.

Not sure if other people think the same about this.

Now I have more concerns about chosing scout3+falconer or scout1+fletcher

Fletcher seems more solid for higher lvl content but I just can’t ignore falconer+mergen.

Does anyone know if scout3 works at higher lvls or if there are another option for Scout1-Falconer1-Mergen1?

I think @jchsc32 would be able to br able to give a you more in depth answer about sc3fal1Mer1 or you can browse Tiaaa’s thread, idreamy’s scout thread, or the infinite SP thread and scroll to the bottom parts.
