Not sure why people are complaining about early access to the game…founder’s pack, etc.
Those that don’t like to pay a month, or can’t afford the founder pack tiers…then wait till June. This is a company, most games have founder packs. I think most people are just pissed they have to wait 3 months.
How you expect a game to survive without some sort of revenue coming in besides cash shop. is a balance, they need the paying players, as much as the non-paying ones.
except in kToS everyone started the same day OBT with level cap with the same founders pack of TP and hats along with non-founders.
IMC is a master of cash grabs content see their 1st game Granado Espada
they should have just release iToS as B2P in my opinion then reverted to F2P within a year. they woundnt be having all this drama if that was the case.

I’m not sure if this is a bait thread or not, but if you look around in some of the topics, you might see why. Heck, just look at IMC’s last two announcements to get a good idea.
Basically they claimed that the Open Beta was coming soon and then, out of nowhere, added the Founder’s Pack which puts three months of the Open Beta behind a paywall. This blindsided a lot of users. The fact that you could play Tree of Savior three months early for $50.00 is very tempting. IMC is preying on that and is trying to get people to pay for an Open Beta. Granted it will be free later, it is basically a bait-and-switch and a cashgrab. They’re trying to make some quick money off of their more eager players.

You do forget Nexon was the one who pays IMC games for the server the development as well as the cash shop. IMC games doesn’t have a publisher to sponsor to the development. I’m grateful enough they went out of their way to even bring the game to us. Not to mention they want to do a separate content that is exclusive to international servers. I’m really happy about that.
if they’re going to become the monsters themselves they might as well have just gotten a sponsor last minute to take the hit. It’s not hard.
People wanted Tree of Savior well you got it, June 19th. Imc never said the game was being released this month or anytime soon at all. Realistically speaking. The fact that theres this much outrage is because of a lot of misinformation that was spread in the weeks leading up to this. People got their hopes up for something fair and now their dream have been shattered. Their feelings of betrayal are spamming the forums up.

Sure they could also be “preying” for eager players… but I’d like to think them as more reasonable and less “cash grab” oriented.
They did develop a few games in the past without doing “cash grabs”.

I’ll say it 1 last time I understand where ppl are coming from being upset but anime MMOs tend to attract odd revenue models and devs/publishers tend to milk the demographic from these types all the time. I excepted some bullshiet and imc definitely coulda done better, thats why this didnt phase me. Nobody is wrong for feeling how they do. However theres plenty of blame to go around for how people are reacting to it.

I Agree and imc is reaping what they sowed with peoples reaction. I put little trust in anyone that tells me “soon” for something i want without an exact date because its stupid to do. It tells me multiple things such as they don’t have an actual idea when something will be ready, there could be changes to it and things could still be developing. Its not a word I put faith in.
Considering waiting 6 months is still really good for an english release following the KR but because everyone has soon in their head 3 months is definitely too long.
