What's with the Complaining?

Since you neglected to read any of the actual complaining, I will give you the benefit of the doubt and explain.

  • They are complaining about the 3 months of paywall blocking.
  • The price is a problem for the poor, but not only the poor complain.
  • How do we expect a game to survive without more money?
BY MAKING BETTER FOUNDER PACKS THAT DON’T
BASICALLY ■■■■ IN THE EYE OF THEIR COMMUNITY.
  • The problem is how much IMC treats us like crap for money.
They’re willing to see their reputation and the quality of the game go down just to make money.
  • If they’re willing to kill the game for money, you can see why people would be upset.

No I’m giving legit responses to people that can post without being a derogatory prick, if you speak with respect I’ll reply to you in kind. If you dont you’ll get what you give

It’s okay, I never asked for your respect anyway.

Wicked so I dont gotta pretend to be nice to you haha

Usually @dog_593 ain’t that bad. But he does rubber band people pretty hard on ■■■■.

Most complaints are completely valid, but people can’t just state their complaint calmly. There aren’t many posts saying just, “I’m disappointed because I thought that the OBT would be free without a founders pack. It breaches the trust I had with IMC as a company.”

It does come off abrasive, I agree, but nothing wrong with that, most people just read it wrong, context and flavor lost in text. Also, you should never ask for respect anyway, it doesn’t work that way.

@LaScoot - I agree with the founder pack being kinda’ lulzy. They have a straight $80 value of IMC coins in it, but people really don’t care about the coins. How would you produce a better founder pack? I have a few ideas, but I don’t want to taint the question with them.

Take your pick.
Add exclusive cosmetic sets.
Special xp boosts.
Whatever you can come up with.

The important part?
Shorten that time, your community is on fire.

People should be happy youre gettiing this game 6months after KR released. Normally youll have to wait 2yrs+ before an official english server would come.

I honestly don’t mind the time. I’m sure the game wont be “full release” in what was it, June? Other people of course disagree, I definitely see that, and respect those who can express that in a good manner.

The cosmetics would be nice, I love knick-knacks, personally always hated boosters, especially on a grinding game. It’d be lovely to see more fun things than I can do things faster. Yet I do agree with the points made, just wanted to pick your brain, thanks for answering!

@jynxie10 - You miss the point entirely. I’m definitely glad it’s coming, and I’d bet the gap would be shorter if it wasn’t for Nexon as well. Yet that won’t change the annoyance, no matter how truthful.

I really don’t care about the 49,99$, I can easily afford that.
If the game would be simply pay 49,99$ once to play for everyone then I wouldn’t raise an eyebrow.

But the fact that IMC is willing to create a 2 class playerbase at the very start of the game is simply sickening.

A part I like about a MMO is the time where it is released, everyone starts at 0, the starting areas are filled with people and everyone heads into a new adventure.
With this kind of system you are putting certain people at a disadvantage and reward rich snobby kids.

I was willing to look past the disastrous closed beta and had hope that everything will be fine with the open beta, but I’m ready to give up on this game now

No I dont missed the point, all your problems will be solved if you can wait a little longer. Im pretty there will be new servers to cater the incoming players when the lockdown expires which means youre free to dodge the founder’s server at your will. IMC clearly stated that.

I’m buying the game, I’m good, I don’t got to wait. That’s why I’m saying you missed the point.

The annoyance isn’t in the cost, it isn’t in the money. It’s in the communication, non-transparent company actions, and general breach of trust people feel at the current moment. Waiting doesn’t fix that, waiting only makes people forget at best. I don’t feel that in the slightest though, maybe it’s just under my cares and worries.

Hopefully that clarifies my vague first post.

I like your idea about the starting at zero for everyone. I also think the same as you do. Close Beta as I attended is quite bad from my perspective.

I had high hope for this game as you did but I think i’m giving it up now as well. Thanks.

I actually read plenty of the complaints and came across a lot of good points that had me thinking.

  • I know, Imc claimed an ObT coming soon and reversed that decision over the course of 3 weeks and suprised everyone with a early acceptance pay us now or wait ultimatum. Many are upset.

  • I agree that the pricing is abysmal for people playing from countries where there currency is many times more inflated then the US. Im canadian, I understand. The dollar has been tanking for a while and it’ll cost me extra too, though nowhere near as bad as friends coming from other areas of the world.

I actually really dont like the pricing model or what it says about the future of the game to be completely honest but this is one gaming investment i can afford to make and will and I do hope their cash shop is affordable for everyone.

So yeah i got no problem admitting imc messed up here too. A no proper announcement, first world cash grab is what this was. Done with very little tact and regard for the players and community. I cant say whether the ends will justify the means.

I’ve already said I see & understand why people are upset but I sincerely doubt imc will change anything with the sale starting tomorrow/today. Life doe

The very sad part of all of this is that:

  • people complain nonstop from the time the announcment went up
  • people are actually trying to SHUT THE GAME DOWN by flagging it on steam nonstop from hours either hoping to get IMC attention or just in rage towards IMC

And this is IMC answer:

  • IMC change the main page banner so that it’ll be cuter to see
  • IMC cancel all evidence of the promise about an Open Beta Soon from forum/facebook/steam
  • IMC still doesn’t find a single minute of time to send even an idiot with a premade script to say something to the players while ToS is imploding before launch

There is only one reason, people are stupid.
All the people here was so hapy that there will be no publisher like nexon here that they forget/didnt know what a publisher do at all.
Where all of you unhappy people thinking imc get the money? How long the game is in development? Or all of you want the game go like EQnext? If for you its play for free or kill the game then go on and kill it.
As for people say the game is buged and unplayable, why you say this. You think will get the same game as icb2?

So like lots of people in this forum like to say to me on they complains i have over the time, suck it up.

Its a F2P game, play it or leave it as you wish. No string attached.

Founder sever will likely be separate from F2P OBT though. So that start from 0 issue is likely not very significant.

IMC is a private company they cant make all their plannings to go public, they have the rights to do that. About trust yea it maybe for majority or some, but who cares if you can still play this game 3 months after for free? Thats still very good on their part considering majority of games from KR never made it into english or youll have to wait for 2 yrs+ prior to KR released. It maybe a sign of a greed? Yes, but its actually the capitalism that make this world functions. What if the money of those founders are actually the source of funds for more servers in June to cater the bigger playerbase? Isnt it a smart move for the game itself so it can thrive longer for those who truly wants to play this game for years and want it to successful? Games do bankrupt if the playerbase cant fund it anymore.

I would join the angst against IMC if they made this game accessible for paying customers only but no it is still free, if only people can wait a little longer.

I’ll leave it, but that’s because I’m so utterly disappointed about this whole situation. This all goes for showing that making a good game for everyone is a secondary goal for IMC, and I thought that this time it would be different.

Turns out the game I was waiting for for 5 years is going to be another generic shitty korean MMO with cute graphics and developers who will just try to milk out as much many as possible out of people.

I had honestly believed that these are people who wanted to create a great unique game

Believe what you will. I’d rather try it out myself.

I did try it out in the closed beta and it was a disaster.
Now rather than adressing real issues with the game they prefer to make a quick buck.

I doubt that the game was overhauled signigicantly ever since I played.
