What language do the people of SEA server use?

Thinking of transferring to SEA server but wondering if players there speak English in shouts and dungeon matchmade groups. If a lot of them speaks in Melayu or Chinese I’m considering just staying in Klaipeda. I can’t read a single Chinese character.

Tagalog, English, some Portuguese and a little Malay.

Dude, that is just stereotype but I am glad you asked. Are you from Australia?

To answer your question, yes most of us speak english especially Singaporeans. Some would hate it if you speak another language in shouts like some people from the Philippines would do but I suggest you just ignore them. Some also speak other languages but they’d communicate to you with english if they know you don’t speak em.

he obviously in Australia since no SEA player would even question that.

I’m not asking whether your first language is English. I don’t care about that.

Just that in shouts and dungeons is English usually the most common language that people use in your server?

please ignore my fellow Filipinos who think they own the server. I don’t like them either.
I think many SEA people have no trouble with English, if they insist speaking in their language because of some regional bias, you know who not to play with.

We use the ancient Atlantica language

Already answered that dude

I know. I’m referring to people knee-jerking for simply asking if people play the game using English.

@Excenmille

your biggest issue with language are filipinos. Despite all filipinos are fluent in english, the loudest of them will spam tagalog to get attention. its a common sight and complaint in other SEA mmos.

hm…how do I put it?
the safest way to go about is communicate in English, even fellow SEA players, unless we know we’re from the same country would talk in English.
asking people upfront if they speak English would ofc send a different message
@Karjalainen ignore them, they can’t trash talk in any other language that’s why

I’ve seen people typing in english mostly on world chat

Well we usually type english in game …
we only type another language when we know ppl in our team is from the same country and same race which share the same language…

No point typing other language if ppl cant understand them lol…

welp… pinoy pride that’s another thing…

Thanks, folks. So it’s mostly English with a touch of Tagalog. Should be no problem for me and my friends.

that isn’t Pinoy pride, I’m not proud of them at all :stuck_out_tongue:

The title in says English version so each server no matter where it is, the game text is in English and since English is used nation wide, it’s used to communicate with other people from different countries. It doesn’t mean you can’t speak to your friend or whom ever in your language. It’s there for communication to others who can’t speak your language not as a rule that you have to speak it, no matter what.

Which country in SEA use that language ???

As a Thai player. I can confirm that another language you will see often is Thai. A lot of Thais play this game. They are mostly not fluent in English like Sigaporean or Pinoy so you can expect when you see something like 555, which mean lol. Then you know they are Thais. They laugh a lot in many situations.

I’m Thai-American and I never seen that before! It’s interesting because the Japanese use “w” as lol.

#‘lol’ around the world
