What is "End Game" for Tree of Savior?

Hmmm. I haven’t seen this question being asked at all. What exactly is End Game for Tree of Savior?

Right now I am seeing everyone hyped about all the different classes and job combination. Which is fine. But what happens after 3-6 month into the game?

And of course there is the overwhelming grind that comes with this game. So what happens when you reach the end? What will you do then? Are there daily instance that you do? Or grind another character?

No one know what will happen in the end game (only IMC) :persevere:

But what about instance, dungeons, or bosses? Or is this game just grind grind grind like Aura Kingdom?

There are dungeon raids already being implemented, there are bosses you can grind for equipment, you can PvP, etc. Same stuff for end-game but I’m in it for the journey not the end-game .-. just my opinion though.

there have been dungeons implemented for lower lvls already… they postponed centurion to a later rank cause there are no raids in the game yet, so i guess since they said that, there will be raid added later… but no one rly knows

As far as I know, the end game is most likely:

  1. Daily Instance/Quest
  2. Participating in Events if there are any
  3. PvP (Solo/Party/Guild)
  4. Group PvE (Party/Guild since solo PvE by end-game is pretty boring)
  5. Making new friends, hanging out with current friends

Pretty sure that once you reach the end game, you will most likely just have leveled equipment or not. But that means maybe there are some equipment that you need to grind to get in order to actually get the best end-game equipment. These may drop from killing end-game dungeons/bosses or either events.

I’m also guessing that soloing the whole game without having even two or more friends to hangout and do fun/random things together does get boring unless you’re reaaaally into not ever having another soul with you.

Seriously bro? The game is not yet release and you’re already asking what’s the end game lol.

A good game won’t have any end game they will keep updating the game content adding more features/maps/quests/patches etc. As long as the’re lots of players.

I think it is a very valid question to see what the game offers. This hype for a new game always have the same pattern. Until a couple of month in after release do people start to complain about “nothing to do”. At least with other game release like FF14, Aion, Tera, Blade & Soul, and Maple Story 2, they tell you a little about what happens when you reach the end. So far ToS has not. It looks like it will be an endless grind like Aura Kingdom. And from previous games like Hero of Obelisk, I am not sure if the NA community is up for that.

In my opinion, End Game content really make or break a MMORPG.

Well I think TOS will be a challenge to play since this is still close beta you can’t really say how hard it is to reach the end game for the current patch.

I’m sure you played ragnarok online takes long before to reach lvl 99 and even though you’re already max level there’s still things to do in game then here comes War of Emperium boy they made us very competitive.

I’m sure IMC wil keep releasing new updates and patches every 6months or so.

Heck ragnarok online is still updating their content.

No instanced dungeon please!

you cant really tell the end game of TOS since it is still on development and testing…

although i want to see and endgame with intense War againts players, faction or guild… also i want to see and end game with very cool 20players 40 players raid

there is already one, sorry :stuck_out_tongue:

I know but they are limited to 5 per day and i do hope they are useless or they are alternative to it if they give equipment.

Yes, I have played RO before. I started RO when it was in Beta. And let me remind you of PRE-Transformation with the crappy exp rate is really a turn off. Grind 5 hours a day for 2% is going to drive away a lot of NA players. This is why RO changed and it is now what it is. Heck, I don’t think RO would even survive without WoE. For that matter, I think the highlight of RO was during WoE + Lord farm + Sage boss summon. That was when the game was most popular.

Though I am not asking for what RO had. I have played a lot more MMORPG besides RO. War of Emperium can stay with RO. I hope ToS team doesn’t copy it.

The main point of my post about ro is that they’re still updating the game since 2003 so it’s up to the dev. Team to implement good patches etc. As you’ve said the previous additions to RO is a turn off.

My main point is they can surely give updates to this game for years.

Daily/Weekly instance limit remind me of Dragon Nest and F2P Aion. I assume they will create a platinum package if they decide to go towards that direction to make instance limitless. Though Dragon Nest did not have this. Dragon Nest had some much bottleneck on the NA server that it makes it unappealing once you reach the end. Weekly Nest dungeon are grind with randoms. There is no objective in the game. There is only 2 Nest + 1 raid Nest at end game. If you want to grind more material, then you have to make additional characters. Also purchase cash shop item to transfer those items between each other.

That I agree and I’m not worried about updates. If ToS is making money, then they will be able to update. How fast and the amount is another story. Look at Guild War 2, the update for that game is almost abysmal. Though Guild War 2 doesn’t have such a huge international audience as ToS.

But we are going off track on the main topic, which is End Game. It is a valid concern. Having a good End Game can make a MMORPG thrive. Look at Final Fantasy 14. The End game for that game is HUGE. The things you can do at the end of the game is endless. And they just announced that they have 5 million + subscribers on a Pay to Play game.

Me i’m pretty good as long as dungeon are not obligatory to get best stuff, i’m not playing mmorpg to be stuck in a dungeon with 4 other play i play mmorpg to play with 100 - 200 players.

The world will never know!
