What is "End Game" for Tree of Savior?

I agree. I was disappointed with Guild Wars 2 end-game content (lots of people left then,) then I was disappointed with FF14:ARR end-game dungeon gear grind, and then I was disappointed with TERA end-game dungeon gear grind. The list goes on…

There is your answer. This can be copy & paste to any MMO.

What game actually has good end game? No matter what mmorpg people seem to complain no good end game anyway lol. So I’m still trying to figure out what is considered good end game content.

IMO, it’s simple: lots of fun things to do.

Lots of MMOs have achieved that but were killed by greed. TERA could have been great but recent “updates” killed it.

You say that but it isn’t as simple as you think. Humans have a different sense of what they consider fun. So what developers thing may be fun to add to there game may suck to 40-60% of the new player, player base. I think they should just stick to a direct audience that likes there idea and dreams instead of trying to make a game fun for everyone. So when you say “just make lots of fun things to do” without elaborating it doesn’t really help your argument. It is kind of confusing. Can you really consider that as “making good end game”?

In my opinion, Tree of Savior is a fairly new game and shouldn’t be working on end game, and continue to focus on the leveling experience to get there. Since end game isn’t something they plan on people reaching in a week or two. They’ll have plenty of time to think about “RAIDS, ‘HEROIC DUNGEONS’, and PVP BALANCE with ‘ARENAS’.” Post launch.

Just be grateful that there’s TOS now I’ve been following this game since day 1.

I think one of my favorite things to do is treasure hunting. I like getting rare loots, but not from running dungeons…repetitively like in TERA. I like going about the world crushing challenging bosses in my wake and gathering their loot to wear as ornaments or barter them for trades.

I don’t really care what end game is, as long as I can collect loot I’m good. Rare drops please!

It’s been a while since I’ve played an awesome adventure game

Something PvPish and WoEish

“I need to finish this grind right away so I can start doing a much slower and longer grind.” -Typical modern MMO player

The idea of “end game” being separate from the rest of the game needs to die off. It leads to trivializing the progression system, and then to wild mudflation and most content becoming obsolete and deserted.

For example, you could design a castle siege pvp battle so it’s advantageous to have a bunch of weak, lower level players join in as cannon fodder. Now you still want to get stronger, but there’s no “get out lowbie scrub” wall forcing people to reach some cap to start participating. Without such a wall, you don’t have to let people “reach the end” quickly and run out of things to do.

You are talking about Guild Wars 2 and the idea of no end-game, and that everyone’s levels don’t matter as much (i.e. all same level PvP, level cap PvE,) guess what? There was not much to do at max level, especially for people who don’t like PvP, the game content was reduced to jumping around for achievements. No end-game means not much reason to play, why should people play when their level doesn’t mean anything?

in the first thing people who didn’t like PvP maybe shouldn’t have played Guild wars 2 Facepalm.

I haven’t played it myself, but someone who does got to the level cap in under a week normally when the game first came out, and did it during the tutorial in the new expansion using special stuff. So you’re saying there’s no endgame because the entire game happens at the level cap? If the game in general doesn’t have much to do besides PvP, then it’s meant for people who like PvP.

How does level not mean anything? You get a bigger number and better stats. Is it because a system like having no level cap at all means someone else will always be higher level, so you can’t get epeen by being at the cap while a bunch of other players aren’t at it yet?

Why are you asking a question that can’t be answer?

The game will continue to be changed and developed. You want to know what will happen for “end-game”, yet this game is in beta where the entire game is apt to change at any moment. There is no such thing currently as end game for this at its current state.

These fast-paced MMOs, I feel, have conditioned people to worry about what will come at the end of the game. People worry they will have nothing left to do.

Don’t think about the end of the game, enjoy the game for what it is as you play. This is beta, all of your progress will be wiped anyhow. Do yourself a favor, create characters, give them a test run, create more and more characters. Help you figure out what you love currently and truly enjoy, so when the game does come out you can have an idea of what you want to make-- then from there you can adventure and figure out the end-game on your own. You need to be more worried about taking advantage of the increased EXP rates for experimental purposes, than you do need to be worried about what there is to do at the end of the game. You will not have the chance to experiment like this ever again. (Unless there is a 3rd beta.)

world war will end this  peace

Loll it’s too soon to even be thinking about “End game”

It’s never too late to think about end game, even more if they don’t change the actual rate a lot, i mean level 600 will be 2-3 weeks max with the current rate (already more than the habitual 3-4 days i’m used too though).

I know this question wouldn’t get an official answer anytime soon, but I do agree with the point of view that it is important to know what the end game entails. Knowing the end game prospects while playing a game will enable you to make informed decision on what build you would like to make for your character, your play style or even if you would want to decide on staying put in a game for a longer term. Not like you can’t make decisions without that knowledge, but information is always welcome

The end game is likely a combination of high end MvP item hunting and some PvP/GvG and social elements just like RO was.

If you think about the way the current mmo gameloop works right now: level up and increase the numbers you see on the screen by running around different areas that may or may not provide a cool immersive story and mostly kill stuff and trying to hit max level ASAP. Hit max level and run around much smaller areas over and over again to NOT level up but get shiny items that increase the numbers you see on screen. End game USED to be harder than leveling content but for the most part that is no longer the case. Of course this entire rant about end game is aimed at PvE content and not PvP. I dont know anything about ToS endgame but it might do us all good to enjoy the game while leveling as well.
