What is a good primary healer build?

ive noticed the lack of healers out there in my few days back trying low lvl dngs, and i gotta say i dont like where that is headed. because of this , id like to change that one person at a time, starting with myself.

but having 0 cleric knowledge other than “stand on tiles” to heal, i come to the pros for guidance . >.< please help

In this game, pure support is not good enough. There were a lot of discussions when this game were in close beta and the early open beta. Later on, most of players agreed that have to much healing is not a good thing. Some of them said you can have only 10 heal ties for a healer.

There are few classes which are more useful in party. However the others are not useless. The more useful ones are Cleric 2, Bokor, Diev and PD.

Feel free to ask for more information.

i was leaning towards cleric c2 > bokor c2 from my lack of knwoledge, but i didnt know how to finsih that off. good to know i was on the right track.

I think you should start from what people suggest first and then try your own build when you have more knowledge. This Cleric 2> Bokor 3> Pardoner> PD2 build should be fine. You should be able to find a lot of various of this build in this forum. Feel free to ask more.

thanks i’ll start from here. sounds like the $$$ making build too.

If it were me… when I queu as a healer, the dungeon will be 70% filled with at least 1 - 4 other healer classes.

As for the too much healing issue, we can buy the Blessing buff from pardoner so that when healing teammates, enemies around will get decent damage as well. As for Daily mission bosses, the healing can be dropped on bosses on CD and teammates will just eat the leftover tiles [if the party doesnt need that much healing]… . For later contents, we might need every tiles, i read that they hit hard… Add that with the coming buff towards Guardian Saint … Cleric c3 will be pretty nice actually.

I sorry but you cannot craft any good spell in this build. The only spell to craft is Cure LV 6. Pardoner is in this build for Discerning Evil. The other spells are not bad.

actually just noticed oracle c3 can switch the gender of a char. that sounds like that’d be amazing for money making!

Be careful! There are only few information about Oracle 3. If you don’t want to reroll, please avoid go to Oracle 3 blindly.

You cannot wear any of your old gender costumes after you change gender.

PS. Do you really want to be primary healer?:unamused:

Well my gf is about to start the game and i figured id cleric for her. id also like to be able to make money. if i dont need money making skills to do so im fine with whatever.

Then I think you should focus on the previous Bokor>Pd build. If you go Oracle and fail, you cannot help your gf.

sounds like a plan. ultimately i want my future fencer leveling to go smoothly, but im seeing that maybe thats not an amazing idea to start with as it is quite expensive , especially when you dont run into healers in the dungeons. 20-50k is a lot of money to me and thats what i have to pay for in HP / SP pot repairs. Well replacements*

The fencer can wait. Do your plan step by step.

exactly. i’ll work on fencer after i do healer. taking the healer up opens the door for better silver making means and what not.

to op, while it’s true that most people favor cleric DPS, having cleric with FS with little damage is actually viable as well.

If you are not dedicated healer and not in a guild/ have someone to help you, then by all means please build a DPS cleric…

Primary healer at least should have cleric 2 in their build. Priest is a bonus but not mandatory IMO.

Clerics are great. I have lots of fun playing with my 2 Twink Healer (I have a 3rd R7 full support But She keep rotting in my Lodge)

Clerics can heal and their sp recovery is good too. And they also can have very nice dps.
You cant really go too wrong with whatever build.

But if you want to heal your GF just put in Cleric c2. Thats enough.
Put in some damage classes. Its more fun and less of a hassle when the “Healer” can dish out damage, too

My BF plays “healer” for me XD
We are a Cleric2-bokor-sadhu2-kaba-Inqi & Wiz3Link2Necro3 combo. And we can dou almost everything. And its very fun to play together

Cleric2 bokor3 pardoner PD is int dps with heals I heard they are very good in end game. But expensive because of all the hp pots (effigy uses lots of them)

Cleric 2 diev3
Is a very good base too. Heals and statue supports. Also int dps.
Can be finished with lots of combos
Like druid PD2 / Druid3/ priest kabba/ priest pd2

Hope you can find what siuts you (and your gf)

Thanks guys! i was either going cleric c2 > bokor c2 > div > pard > PD c2 or bokor C3 > pard > PD c2. if im fine with healing from cleric c2, i’ll go with the one with higher damage potential then i suppose

Honestly, anything with Cleric C2 is a decent healing class. You see, clerics are not just a healing class in this game. They are support and, at times, damage. You gotta break that mindset of pure healing. Being a pure healer is not going to get you through the game in the long run. If you really want to help your girlfriend, pick a class that can compliment hers. If she picks an archer or melee class, a priest’s buffs will increase their damage. If she picks a wizard class, a Diev can reduce her cooldown (though not as much as a chronomancer) and give you some damage options as well. This game was made to make your class flexible. It does not follow the cookie cutter sort.

There’s no fail in Healing as long as you have sufficient c2 Cleric heal tiles, everything else is auxiliary. Ask your girlfriend which class theme (Vodoo? Holy? Oriental?) she likes best and try to build around that … I think it is best if we LOVE our character, that way a little drawback / shortcomings wont matter as much. But if you just want cookie cutter ones, then yea… DPS build it is, C2 > Bokor2/3 > Diev/Pardoner/Miko > PD2.

pretty sure shes going sword something. least thats what i was told when i asked.
