What gaming company/organization would you trust to handle Tree of Savior properly? ^o.o^

Sega Japan. Not sega America or Gumi.

Sega Japan developed a game that has a good story, art and gameplay. There are frequent updates with events and raids every week and month. After a year they released a v2 that took in all the suggestions from players and made their game more player friendly. (Why Not make itos player/user friendly, isn’t that better then a low population game with is this game dead threads every week). When a class was weak there was legit creativity that went to make them balanced. When things go wrong there is compensation and statements. They have a well developed wiki and website. The player can overcome the lack of the latest newest characters with skill, micro and party composition. They created a system where old content can still remain useful years into the future. There was balance changes that made outdated characters stronger to be more on par with the powerlevel of the new designs/monsters.

The only thing lacking was detailed patch notes and they entrusted outside companies to manage the international release. But even the patch note thing I think got better over time.

I am not specifically looking for imc to turn over itos to another Nexon-like entity. I much prefer imc’s pride in their own creation show in the way they manage the game and to for them to excel in all facets. To be better then blizzard, better then riot better then other game companies.

Yes, itos is kind of like a beta and also suffered a huge drop in players but that doesn’t mean imc has to give up. There are tons of areas to improve, mistakes to learn from and ways to show off their creativity. They could package these ideas into a well executed version2 release. Closing shop on itos is easy, making it great takes energy and effort.

Dota2 team on class balancing lmao.
Dota is the most unbalanced moba ever made.
The win rates of champions/heroes are totally ■■■■■■ up, are you guys living in your own world?

The last major dota 2 tournament there was I believe 105 unique heroes picked, in a pool of 109. No balance when everything is viable?
edit: quoting

All Swordsman classes would be amazing if the Dota2 team had their hands on this. In fact, most classes would have it pretty good.

I’m personally against the DotA 2 team working on Tree of Savior. DotA wasn’t ever a well-balanced game, and the DotA 2 shaders/coloring just felt really wonky to look at ^o.o^

Trump Entertainment Resorts, Inc

tell that to 1mil dota2 player around the globe

you know about game so well coz you play the most hardcore game of all time, TOS

Dota 2 is popular because of DotA from WC3FT. It has had a large following since clan TDA days over a decade ago. I know because I’ve played Dota for money before.

Sorry to say, but so long as the following exist:

  • Hyper-carries
  • Stunlock
  • Manalock
  • Creep deny
  • STR/AGI/INT trinity with low/no scaling across all abilities

The game will never achieve a good balance.

The reason why one of the original creators of Dota decided to sign a contract with Riot Games to work on LoL was because they too saw that Dota was very limited in terms of balance. Instead of INT heroes being primarily intended to dominate early game and fall off late-game (due to poor scaling of abilities), Riot Games decided to go an approach where all abilities can be improved by items and all abilities have a coefficient to balance out their effectiveness.

I feel like LoL is an extremely good and balanced Moba, especially compared to DotA / DotA 2.

  • The only “hyper-carry” that exists in LoL is Vayne, and she gets shut down with well-placed stuns and focus-fire.
  • There’s no stunlock in LoL. Sure there are annoying characters like Alistar, but he can’t simply auto-attack stun at insane speeds like Faceless Void and other melee units with Cranium Basher in DotA / DotA 2
  • No mana-lock in LoL (no worrying about PL / Naga Siren / Anti-mage burning away an INT heroe’s chance to fight back)
  • There’s no creep-deny in LoL. There used to be with Gangplank’s older ability that targeted an allied creep to activate, but that was changed fairly quickly and was probably the only instance of deny that ever existed in LoL
  • Like previously stated, most abilities in LoL scale based on a coefficient and the type of attack it is (unless the ability serves a different purpose like CC or buff/debuff then it might scale differently, but the point is that most abilities do scale with items).

League of Legends is an improvement on DotA in just about every way. Fortunately, DotA has had such a strong following since the clan TDA days that it can fall back on Nostalgia and its own engine while pulling in players who want to continue playing an updated DotA.

I don’t want to derail the topic into “DotA vs LoL” so feel free to respond to me in PM if you want to continue this convo :3

Square Enix, Specifically the dude who fixed FF14, that dude has a brain.

erm, when was your last dota game?

dota2 changed alot since dota1…

this is like complaining opponent team have ronaldinho etc all stars.

as imbalance as you deem as
(i didnt say its completely balance, but we see better patch and changes with dota…
Unlike IMC breaktainance, breaking things here and there every patch and without significant change to the game… So far, the so-called improvement in TOS is things that shouldnt be happening in first place…)

also, this is a theory/fun thread, not like any of these suggestion will , one day, become real~
(i have a hope~ that company around the globe will put interest into this title!)

Yeah that info is so outdated it gave me aids. Dota is by far the most balanced moba, from someone who plays both. If you havent seen how balanced the latest dota patch is then you shouldnt speak about it. PS the game is nothing like what you described now.

And yet that game is balanced enough to be one of the premier titles for competitive esports. You’re not able to host multi-million dollar international tournaments if your game is an unbalanced, broken mess. It’s not perfect, just like every game before it, but I’ll take that any day over what we currently have with ToS.

These start off really weak, and require a lot of skill and game knowledge to get to that state. The other team will tend to have 1 of these too so teamwork is still the deciding factor. Plus, each hero has at least 1 counter hero so there’s never a guarantee that you’ll steamroll your way to victory.

Let’s take a look at ToS. How do you counter someone that has Ausrine, Rx7, and Prophecy all on the same char? Then their teammate is likely to be a PD as well. All they need is 1 half decent damage dealer is victory is assured. Easy to see why clerics dominate the rankings.

How about like every swordsman against Subzero Shield? You may as well start dancing, same outcome.

Not a huge issue because Dota happens to be 5v5, not 1v1. Also, outside of perhaps Troll Warlord, the other heroes capable of this require time and effort to get there, something that can be denied by the enemies. Now if you’re constantly going 1v1 against a stunlocker and you’re not a natural counter, well no one else is to blame.

OMG we need more of this in ToS! Then I can re-enact Anti Mage or Spectre with Diffusal Blade. One of many reasons why swordies will actually get some love and be on a similar platform to the other classes if in their hands.

For me this is a good thing. Gives support heroes the opportunity to delay items for the enemy carries. Like I said earlier, hard carries need items and levels before they can actually carry, so unlike in ToS, you don’t start off completely hopeless against them.

This is the first time I’ve ever heard this complaint regarding Dota. A complete non-issue. Maybe you can elaborate a little more and give specific examples.

eh storm, u took him too seriously u know, u fall for his bait

he clearly is a solo dota guy never joined any competitive 5v5 dota, not even a local cyber small tourny

typical ako mid bobo gago mid or feed

… i’m satisfied with a company that dont think that a blue fairy costume for male swordsmen its a good idea…[quote=“mrshadowccg, post:17, topic:328707, full:true”]
Considering the pantsu topic and the incoming new costumes,
