Sure thing
I’m just going to copy paste what I posted on reddit when someone else asked, hope that works
I’ll say now my build is based around venier. However, the only difference between having that and not would be 100% uptime on attaque coquille. Also, the swordsman 1 is a bit different but it doesn’t really matter. You can buy attributes that require x skill level and then skill reset and have them at level 1 and still take advantage of the attribute. So I actually have 4 gung ho and 1 bash.
Some questions I assume will come up for you or someone else who sees this:
Q: Why concentrate over gung ho?
A: I ALWAYS have guardian on for the evasion boost and guardian doesn’t stack with gung ho.
Q: Why no giant swing?
A: I’m not interested in the PvP in this game, and couldn’t find any use for it in PvE.
Q: Why 5 preparation and not use them somewhere else?
A: I used to have 5 composee instead. It is in fact possible to infinitely spam it with high ping without running out of SP. However this requires abusing a glitch with sitting down and standing up right away to proc SP recovery. This can wind up glitchy, so I didn’t really like it. Now I only have to rely on SP pots.
But I guess the bigger question is “why preparation above 1 at all? isn’t it useless?” Well, I found out something interesting about it that I’m not sure if many people know or not. When you hold down preparation with a shield, your block chance gets multiplied by preparations % level. This is bad - holding C is MUCH more effective. However, when you use preparation with a dagger, preparations block % chance actually becomes your chance to block. So this means you can get 90% chance to block with venier and divine might while the skill is active. Combined with evasion cap, it pretty much makes you invincible while it’s held down if you use it with a dagger. If you ever need to, it’s a great “oh ■■■■” button.
This will probably end with fencer c3 if it’s worth going - I’ll take the points out of preparation and put it in to something more offensive if that winds up being the path to take.
