What do you think would be the highest dps build for a swordsman after the rebalancing of the stats?
Its been months since i quit but I think i wanna play again soon. I have a barb3>doppel3 but i dont know if it is still good after the stat rebalance thing.

well the combat balance patch hasnât been implemented yet, so as of right now⌠ur build is fine on iToS
You can reset anyway but with the actual changes i predict sword3>x>doppel3 as new meta build.
Gung ho workes on %base now and lvl 15 Pb are usefull not to mention restrain 10.
Fencer dex But its wanna burn too mana that its Will be useless afther a few rotation

High Dex Sw2>Barb3>Fencers/Dopps gets the most out of AA ASPD and Crits.
depends if there will still be a way for fencer to achieve high critical rate
if a fencer can still achieve 90%+ crt rateâŚthey could easily be the best dps with a dex type build and spamming attaque composee
but the major problem would be the sp consumption,even right now lvl 15 potion couldnt keep up with the spam of attaque composee, how much more if the attack speed from dex is applied
After doing the math for Gung-Ho, the increase @LVL 5,10, and 15 with Attribute @LVL 50 only increase total ATK by about 8%, 16%, and 20% respectively with the aforementioned levels.
At most LVL10 seems to make the most sense, but going a full HL3 or Barb3 is still worth it. Highlander for the high damage (Skyliner deals insane damage for a low rank skill once attributed to 50 on bleeding enemies specially at a 15s CD 3OH) and Barbarian for the great utility their passive and active buffs give them.
Currently I am a SW1 HL3 BAR1 DOP3 but once we get the update I might go for SW2 HL3 DOP3 for full damage if Gung-Ho stays the same.
Well Dov gives only 33% at max lvl.
Im high c3 barb 1 doppel c3 too.
But if the rebalance comes i will try to make a doppel pvp build that works.
Maybe Sword C3 Barb C1 Corsair c1 Doppel C3.
Or Sword 2 Hl C3 Doppel c3.
If we get many resets we can test many things out.
But Hl Skills Crossguard/Crown/Bleeding all benefits even more from str.
Yes that is what I thought of too, HL and DOP get a lot of benefit from being mostly STR because they donât have CRIT buffs unlike Barb or Hoplite.
Being a Swordsman in PvP is painful and after awhile I stopped doing it because on iToS itâs just not viable to try and compete against classes that can lock you in CC so easily.
That said Sword 2 HL 2 COR 1 DOP 3 could work in 2v2, with Bash knockdown Punish is deadly, as well as Catar Stroke. Hook into Crosscut and Skyliner is a lot of damage and Hook into Redel or Zucken is a lot of burst too.
And with STR being more important now it makes Crossguard even better since the root attribute is awesome vs archers.
IF Crossguar would be a buff that would make High 3 builds in pvp way more viableâŚ
We have to wait for it if mage/clerics have to go for int maybe even cloth armor could change the pvp meta.
But even then this game got to much cc-skills anyway.
But in ro i play the 3rd job from assasine (gx).
It´s the same as Doppel bad Deffense hight melee atack but in ro it works in pvp/woe.
So i hope it will work here too someday âŚ
I think the biggest problem a full 2Hander build has in this game is the fact that we have so little CC and no CC resist that it makes fighting classes that have heavy CC a really big problem.
Game is too balanced around team play because there are so many classes and classes that have no way to deal with CC canât really compete. Maybe the changes will make sure Mage and Cleric classes arenât unkillable gods who have everything.
Permanent +20% damage is huge with the new system. It can be pretty good.
Barbarian giant swing is actually the strongest skill in term of damage for all swordsman classes. But since Iron Hook deal also insane damage, it should be a bug.

Seism level 5 : 86%x3 with 3 overheat.

Doppel C3 :
Cyclone will deal 1320% per second
And most others deal between 1300 and 1800% after 4 or 5 hits. Thatâs ridiculous if you compare but the signature skill of the class remain powerfull. Also consider that Doppel use the highest damage weapon in the game.
Dragoon C2 will have less burst damage, less sustained damage, useless signature skill.
No really, what they do is totally random atm.

HL3/Barb3Dopps are just made to deal huge amount of damage, no argument there.
why do ppl forget dethrone is also long range and utility for PvP is beyond me. and most of Drag skills are long range. even Gae Bulg does 1000% dmg at lvl 1 now.
personally I think ill just stick with Sw3-Hop2-Cor3, but maybe now Iâll have to write a config for auto-DWA with one button in mousemode. cuz honestly, that thing is such a friggin pain in mousemode. guess itâs time to stop looking for an optimal build and just play.
Not Iron Hook, the skill you use just after : Keel Hauling : 2x1426% level 15 and already 983%x2 level 5, 25 sec CD, HUGE control.
Barbarian donât have skyliner, i didnât even talk about this skill somewhere, also thatâs a PvE oriented build. Also, if you really think that you will be able to touch someone with a swordsman without Trot 15 or CC + dash (like the classical PvP Murmillo build), just try it, you will see why itâs almost impossible to be in the top 50 rank with them. What Barbarian can do ? Giant Swing : 3096%, wtf, then poucing who suck. Enjoy your Seism damage to farm in PvE.
Dethrone level 5 deal less damage than any other Dragoon skill level 10 so you will just take it level 1. Gae Bolg has been buffed but still throw away your weapon and for 40 sec cooldown without overheat, thatâs not so cool.
Thatâs a class who can just benefit of their damage in PvP, so if they are not the best for doing that job, players will just avoid it. Serpentine debuff R8 is the only advantage of Dragoon C2 (and you donât realize that without this damages, being a THS user is not an advantage at all). But it will be always better to take Lancer instead.
Also, Catagoon build will not have any viable offensive skill (420% after 1 second cast time with the spell level 15 rank 6, without overheat and with medium cooldown, really ?) until rank 7. Rush too high CD to be reliable in leveling, you will not take double slash in swordsman tree.
Fencer skills have some high %modifier but they also have one of the weakest weapon in term of raw damage (but they have the advantage of the shield yeah) and they are not so good in PvP too, like most swordsman classes.
What you can see on Ktest ? Outside of Corsair, most swordsman class deal to low damages / are controlled too easily / lack of utility / canât touch their target. Weâre back to 2015.

Swordsma need some sort of side/Back/frontslide to manually dodge cc skills.
And to come close to the enemys.^^
And you can say what you want but dethrone is to strong now.
It is range+aoe+CC and deals awesome dmg.
It has no downsides.
Dethrone is too strong on live, but too weak on Ktest.
Thatâs why i ask for a better multiplier (619x2 is ridiculous, Inquisitor can have 2000% on God Smash with 3 overheat, Archer have a lot of spells with 2000-3300%, the Lancer Quintain deal more damage than Dethrone with a lot more utility, etc âŚ) BUT also less range. And when i say less range, i say âsomething readableâ, because thatâs impossible to imagine the true AoE atm x) âŚ
Also, donât forget that if Dethrone is too strong thatâs the only thing that make the Catagoon strong atm. In Ktest :
- You donât any utility outside of your damage
- Cleric / Wizard permanent meta will be even stronger pretty soon, so your restrain will be â â â â â â everytime in high level PvP by Plague Doctor (who still donât have any downside for that wtf team CC immunity)
- Cataphract is the worst offensive class of the entire swordsman Tree, even the Swordsman C3 is stronger (no joke xD)
- You got a 10% HP nerf with Restrain debuff (but thatâs a good thing to have a real counterpart to this buff)
Some things we have to see :
- How much HP Wizard / Cleric will lose now (CON give a different amount of HP for every Tree + others stats are not an option anymore) ?
- How good or bad swordsman Gung Ho and Concentrate are ?
Anyway, a lot of things can still change. For Cataphract, we can expect something like x2 damage on some spells. R6, 500% max multipliers with a spell level 10, 420% with a spell level 15 with 1 sec charge time and no overheat, lol.
I hope that after the rework, we will be able to play mounted swordy in PvP, but also, doppel, shinobi, corsair, murmillo, fencer. Also, i hope that our R9 will be truly interessting.
I imagine that :
- âdoppel lineâ tree
- Lancer C2, Dragoon C3 so no more mounted swordy class here
- Murmillo C2 so no more Shield-based swordy class

I imagine Matador a something with Rapier and dodge skills : perfect for the Fencer way of life. And Luchador, i donât see what sort of existant weapon can be good for them, but i imagine impressive PvP skills for them haha and some skills to throw away people
