I’m trying to come up with something but I’m not really that good with theorycrafting lol.
I wouldn’t say this is the best build period for Pied Pipe but sure it works. May not be the greatest and quickest dps but it’s not half bad and an okay sustain. It also works wonders in CM. For a full pvp, Hypnotische Floete is completery worthless. Tested against Salamion and Skeletons, doest not work.
A2 > Sapper2 > Wugu3 > PPipe2, 50 CON Rest in STR
The remaning points are the ones i didn’t distribute yet.
What a fun class. After the SR past changes long ago and the neglect with Sapper and problems with Canonner and Muskeeter, i thought i wouldn’t have fun again with an Archer tree again.
This is the only class in the game so far closest to the bard class so I want to play around it lol. Thanks for sharing your build!
Pied piper is a crowd control class right? I would imagine it would work well with AoE skills from sapper and wugu, like forgadinho said.
Mine is A1 QS1 Sap2 Wugu3 Pied2, for pvp purposes having the shield qs buff is really nice and for pve, caltrops and pavise to pull is nice.
All aoe on ground, then cc with the pied dance or follow ones and you watch mobs die from ground stuff, bit lack luster against aerial, but then you can trap explode and so for them.
Yours is exactly the same as the one I have in mind. I’m starting to see the underwhelmingness of archer2’s swift step, thus I need to redo many of my archer characters XD (most, if not all, are at least archer2)
I was thinking of either Archer1 Ranger3 Fletcher3 PP2, and Archer1 Ranger3 Wugu3 PP2.
Sapper got most of their damage in C3 with enhanced Broom Trap and Spike Shooter, which are not ideal for the piped piper build. Too much downtime and/or setup time for damage.
Fletcher build is great too. Top damage if all else fail, but I heard the SP cost is bad so I didn’t go for it.
I end up getting Ranger3 and Wugu3. Extra damage from 2 Hand weapons, some really badass boost from Ranger3 attributes that can keep immediate DPS going if needed, which means I can alternate between Wugu AoE poison + Piped Piper CC and Ranger + Wugu DPS depend on the situation.
It is nt worth to have A2 compared to new ranger and for wugu poison that can’t crit not worth taking any crit buffs from either ranger or archer2, so for pvp (since pied is more usable in pvp) QS is better.
A1 R3 S3 PP2
In theory, anything Ranger Wugu or Sap Wugu seems most feasible for me. Variations may include trading some circles for QS1 and/or Appraiser/Rogue for PVP. Might try Ranger Falcon as well. Wish we had more resets.
could somebody explain the draw of wugushi? the single target dps poisons are incredibly weak for single target damage, and for ground AOE wouldn’t sapper be better? ranger can now boost crit damage by 50%, so build 5x crit shot stacks and then use broom trap with its 50% crit chance attribute your broom trap crits will be 50% stronger thanks to the crit shot stacks. you could also potentially kneel down during broom trap’s duration for a further dps boost (physical damage based on your dex). am i missing something?
It’s more like, “what can work with Pied Piper while i play the flute?”. Sapper and Wugushi works wonders at that. But there is no real reason to go Pied Pipe 2. It is kind of a weak class and the second circle doesn’t provide anything meaningful. The only true damage skill has a bad debuff, works bad and the way to be used its bad.
I need ro recheck the kTos thread to see the upcoming changes. It is a fun class tho.
anyone know if the mice have some kind of sinergy with hunter or other class ?
imo the only use of this class its pvp so without cloaking is useless. but what class could fill the damage lack of this class ? all the top dps of the archer tree are from r7 or more and have an OP damage curve on their final ranks like musketer, cannoner and merge
Seems like the top pied piper build is ranger3-wugu3-pied piper2.
Why though? Ranger’s steady aim does not work on wugu’s main damage skills right? Only works on latent venom and wugong gu I think?
Theory crafting wise, I think wugu works great with pied piper. Poison the enemies then control them while letting DoT happen. Thus sapper2’s broom trap should have better synergy than ranger.
i’d say ranger3>sapper3 would be a far better build than ranger3>wugu3. sapper3’s broom trap has 50% native crit chance thanks to attribute, and ranger’s critical shot buff stacks increase all crit damage by 50%. wugushi simply can’t compete.
let me give an example for broom trap damage with modest stats: with just 50/100 enhance attributes, broom trap has 353% factor. with 6000 physical attack, 2000 critical attack, and maxed crit-shot stacks from ranger, the damage of broom trap per hit would be (((6000x1.5)+2000)x3.53)x1.5=58,245. it just seems so much better than wugushi.
can push it far higher, though. with 100/100 enhance attributes and 7000 physical attack and 3000 crit attack and ranger crit shot stacks, your broom trap would do 91,530 per hit (before enemy defense, of course).
seriously though - why do people take wugushi? ranger gives +50% damage to broom trap via critical shot stacks. wugushi can’t compete.
Wugushi has Jincan gu, Pot, miasma, wungon with 25-40secs cd to stack up aoe, sapp has broom every 40 secs… other sapp skills are kinda meh, as spike is 100secs cd, or stockades and claymore has to be caster and the mobs to get near to explode or get hit… so… thats why some ppl take wugu over it.
