What annoys me the most

player count may have declined even further without the recent event, after all me and my friends started playing on a new account because of the boost pack event. here is what i hate about the game

maintenance times - I thought i was the only one but i’ve seen numerous complaints in shout that the maintenance is held too early, we get off work and can’t play the game and have to look for another game,. why not hold a maintenance after the reset when the majority of the player’s would be asleep?

@STAFF_Ines @STAFF_Yuri @STAFF_Amy @STAFF_Ethan @STAFF_Letitia @GM_Francis

selfish community - not everyone is selfish but there are plenty of people who can but refuse to play as a group during a instance or help the new players, i understand some people don’t have the time but i’ve seen this go on for a whole week.

there has been many people who just rush through the dungeon and end up having to come all the way back to kill the remaining monsters to unlock the last rooms etc, people lose out on exp when they’re far from the monster kill but some people aren’t considerate and just keep moving forward then start blaming the team for being so slow, as a result the team mates decide to stand still or leave, has anyone experienced this? one guy playing a single player game ended up ruining the party, i hope to avoid this situation in earth tower etc lol.

many new players require a base camp or sage warp or atleast a proper guidance to kajima’s visiting room because new accounts rush to level through dungeons until lv.242~252 not everyone has enough time to complete the quests to unlock access to those maps and not everyone is aware that you can google for maps, some people are overwhelmed just by looking at the map imagining how many maps it would take to join that storage party.

i’ve seen numerous shouts looking for squires but they eventually quit the game, some can still find their way but it takes 30 minutes assuming you know the way and have a mount skill, you have to consider that they can have a 8x tome running, it may seem like its unlimited but they run out quite fast especially when the new player made a bad decision of staying at catacombs with all that exp tomes instead of going to alemeth (thank god if they chose alemeth)

we could have had more players if more players offered help, i understand most squires just sit there at the best spot for free income but there should have been a several squires or a sage that could have helped, my deepest regrets is that i could have helped them if i had a slot for a squire.

i don’t blame imc considering it’s not entirely their fault, infact the english community in general is extremely toxic which explains why certain players play it like a single player game, i just wish our community could be more positive like korea and japan, they respect each other and help those in need,

alot of my friends quit the game because they didn’t know where to reach kajima’s visiting room, they used about 10 megaphones to look for a squire or sage but failed to receive help, i don’t think players deserve to complain about the decaying playerbase when they aren’t making it any better.

I agree with your sentiments about positivity, niceness and everyone respecting each other pleasantly.

I don’t necessarily agree with the sentiment that people should drop what they would prefer to be doing in order to help others. If they’re not already doing it, they shouldn’t be expected to.

I think this thread will become a train wreck because you’ve worded it as a call-out to all the worst members, who know exactly who they are and will see that you’re calling them out. They will flock to this as they always do.

Good ol’ hand holding…
What happened to the google it, and walk???

Don’t get me wrong. I feel you on the community thing, but that is not the real reason they quit the game…

Encouraging everybody to be nice is one thing, b*tching about not being spoonfed by others is another. Just google the ignorance away. BTW, when you reach a certain level - afaik, 252 - you could unlock a quest that instantly teleports you to storage.

PS. Since they were stupid enough not to google, I really hope they didn’t quit because they used up their megaphone during off-peak hours when everybody else is sleeping. Wouldn’t be surprised tho if that’s the case. lol.

For me its more a bad habbit to ask for warps all the time…

yeah that lv.252 warp thing is obvious, but we’re talking about their first access and i’ve seen them use their megaphones during on-peak hours, it is indeed their fault to not google but some people aren’t aware that they could look it up, i have a several friends that still don’t look up maps or items on google when they’re lv.330 lol.

i make sure to let them know to not turn in that lv.252 quest, people usually complete it instantly without knowing how useful it can be because nobody told them the uses for it beforehand :sob:

From what I’ve read, it seems like your friends are not very good with MMORPG’s. MMORPG’s require proper surfing for guide, tips, techniques. Good googling. 70% Playing 29% Researching 1% Sleep.

selfish community - not everyone is selfish but there are plenty of people who can but refuse to help the community with their utility skills…

i’ve seen numerous shouts looking for squires but they eventually quit the game, some can still find their way but it’s nonsense that a squire or sage can’t get their lazy ass off for single a minute to help

alot of my friends quit the game because they didn’t know where to reach kajima’s visiting room, they used about 10 megaphones to look for a squire or sage but failed to recieve help, i don’t think players deserve to complain about the decaying playerbase when they aren’t making it any better…

lol what the heck, if they prefer having their repair shop than helping you then let them be. Remember that you are only asking for help, it’s not like something mandatory for sages and squires to help you whenever you use your megaphones. Don’t you think they experienced the same when they were trying to do what you are currently doing? Also you can’t call them lazy (esp. squires) they made that character to earn silver, that’s their purpose for them. In fact you’re the one who sounds lazy here There’s a reason why google exists don’t you think. lol try to go to tosbase.com there’s a world map there or use this http://toscamp.com/map/map4.1.php?lang=en
Dont act like you’re not bothering them when you ask for help

Well I just googled it on my first time too. I dont have friends in-game so that’s not an excuse. Besides, looking things up on google should always be instinctive whenever you don’t know something. I wonder how they survive the real world if they don’t know how to google.

i disagree not all mmorpgs require guides or research. ragnarok and tree of savior may require them.

they have actually played many mmorpgs

elsword, trickster, blade&soul, tera, wild star, war frame, guild wars 2, maplestory, latale didn’t require any research when they tried it.

so the whole googling thing was new to them.

where does it say that i’m looking for a map? i google myself and find my own way. this is about players that have been seen in game who uses more than 6 megaphones for a warp because they have no idea how to reach there but receive no help and end up quitting.

we’re complaining that the playerbase is decreasing yet we’re not helping the situation but crying about it like a bunch of babies.

yes it’s their choice to keep their character in that position to obtain silver but it doesn’t hurt to warp to the location and set up a base camp and warp back to the location to set your shop back up, if many more players considered this, the community would have been far more positive and active.

yes spoon feeding a player is a bad idea in general and they don’t need help reaching alemeth since the lv.140 dungeon warps you to forest of prayer but kajima’s visiting room takes 30 minutes to reach assuming you know the way and have a mount,

my deepest regret is not making squire my first character, i could have encouraged those players to stay on tos, i have only seen about 10 players quit the game due to lack of support. it would have been nice to have those extra people queue for lv.260~290 dungeon but we lost them already, oh well.

Lots of ways to get information aside from shout or hoping for an squire or sage to baby sit them. Theyre well researched about squire and sage utilities but dont know how to get to those maps. Seems like theyre lazy. How come they know how squire works even though theyre new to this game.

So, what did you do to help them? Did you pm them and gave directions?

And do you know it would cost a squire atleast 13k silver to make a base camp?

well the information goes around and around, they either experience a squire base camp or ask people that shout lf > squire for storage warp.

it’s true that some of them are lazy but i too learned about squire without having to research it.

yes i have obviously given them directions, and 13k isn’t much especially at higher levels, if i had a character slot i would recruit players to parties so more than one person could warp to the base camp,

i wish they held a event for old steam accounts to give new character boost packs so i could use my steam account to create a squire :sob:

More than happy to help if anyone here is in need of warp services on the NA ORSHA server. Level 324 Sage main. <3

I have both a squire. So its 13k to make base camp, then 3k warp to for example kalejimas, then have to come back to where ever the repair shop is, so another 3k. Then have to make base camp again cause the previous one gone, so another 13k and I have to find some priest to divine might my shop. Wow that is not so exhausting indeed for some random person who, cant be called lazy but will not spend time to google and to just run to kalejimas or whatever place they want to be. Also , every silver counts.

oh yeah, i don’t have to create squire after all, i already have a wizard so i should make that a sage, thanks for reminding me :stuck_out_tongue:

You gave them directions and they still quit the game? Seems like they were really adamant on getting that free teleport. I think there’s some other reason they quit and it feels like this thread s barking at the wrong tree.

And 13k is still something even at higher levels… especially if youre running a shop. 13k is a full repair, 10 sp pots, a reroll, an identify or 26 hp pots… list goes on.

So anyway… In the spirit of making this “selfish community” better… if anyone in orsha needs some TP pm me salazar or v_salazar we’re glad to help. But we still reserve our right to refuse. :kissing_heart:

Sure, it’s better when you have people to help but you can’t force a community to do so.
Being helpful isn’t even an easy thing: it costs money, it takes time (like having to explain 10 minutes to a level 300 dude how to sit… wth ?), and you also have things you should be doing. It’s especially annoying for people who have limited play time.

The people you know are honestly simply lazy. Yeah, it’s always better if you can have a free warp - because it can take forever to walk from one map to another - but it’s just a possibility, not how the game is supposed to be played.
You’re supposed to do the quests, explore the maps, get the statue warps, and move on your own, not 100% depend on others.
They were extreme, they didn’t just want help, they wanted to be assisted.

By the way, even in Asian communities people won’t accept to be someone’s “servant”.
I’ve helped a lot of people as well, I love helping, but the moment they start fully depending on you, always asking you to carry them, then it isn’t fun anymore. It isn’t helping anymore. It’s people too lazy to play the game.
