Wall of no XP ( no one like grind)

…ever played Devil May Cry in “Dante Must Die” mode, where everything is a 1 hit death?

I love grinding LMAO so ya you don’t speak for most of us sorry man.The grind is so lightweight compare to other MMO’s.The grind wall somewhat starts when you have access to dailies and mercenary missions to avoid heavy grind time.

Plus they added new quests in last patch in Ktos. They been adding some new repeatable quests for some time now.

Will take some time for them to arrive here.Plus your just lazy imo and want everything handing out easy. You expect this game to have 0 grind and that is not happening I am so sorry man. They will reduce your grinding time with more quests/dailies but they won’t take off grind completely.

Yup - that was nice xD

I don’t know why they simple not crtl c crtl v the RO style of respawn, where you killed one mob and one insta respawn somewhere else at a random place (most of them). I think it would make grinding a lot more enjoyable.

we are already having triple exp rate of what it should be - your 314 is invalid - use exp viewer for more info in game regarding the exp you get - also it helps alot in finding a proper spot (you gotta do 1 hour grind on a map to find the best one for yourself- if you deny reading leveling guides)

also teaming up and killing hordes of tanky mobs (wich give a ton of exp about 10 times more than common mobs even tho you kill them as quickly in a party - meaning you grind 10 times faster in a party than you would do alone by killing low hp/exp mobs)

you should get a group at your level and start grinding charger or bunnies on the next map - it wont take long and youll be 205 kinda…then simply exp card yourself up to approx 210-212 but do journal maps before that and get a party for truffles wich give about 7-12m exp depending on how fast you kill - and how many other people are on said map

to get the most effectiveness tho i suggest you do x mob count for your journal as long as youre getting bonus exp off mobs + its an ok exp/h and youre being rewarded with extra cards (its worth to do journal as soon as youre getting level 7 cards as a reward - lv 6 and lv 7 is a huge exp jump - lv 8 to lv 9 is alot smaller and kinda “harder” or takes a lil longer if you solo) doing the journal it might feel less of a heavy grind and more like an “achievement farm”

We would all die horrible, horrible deaths in 99% of parties. Be glad this isn’t the case. The reason it worked in RO is because mechanics were very different.

90 % of player HATE grind

So IMC ADD more quests

These 2 statements contradict each other.
Doing the same shitty fetchquests over and over is just grinding too

Not entirely. You don’t have to actually meet and make friends with players if it’s just quest spam to cap.

Unless the late game is really unbalanced, that should not be the case lol

the whole point of my post was to say that i don’t find it right to make exp cards demanding to level effectively which right now it is, i don’t want to make an alt having to do every single quest, kill every single mob X time, explore 100% every single map, to level him AT ALL, without all that you won’t be able to level him properly and that’s a fact.

also goblin magician was just an example, don’t get me wrong.

I like the idea of XP cards for leveling to some extent. I think , however, it should work like this: Triple the amount of monsters required for an exp card and make it repeatable.

You just spent like 5 hours grinding 20,000 mobs? Not only do you get that level, but here’s an additional level via Xp cards that can be used once you are out of level range of your grinding spot.

I feel like this would make both parties (reasonably) happy, remove some of the grinding deadzones, and make leveling a bit more tactical. Grinding would even be more viable in some levels than questing.

i think they need to add a 3rd starting town, called TwinkVille.

it has 1 npc, 1 quest.
the quest is accepted and completed as soon as you login (wouldnt want to waste time having to walk over and actually talk to the npc).
the quest rewards are…

  • 1 “omega” xp card… which gives you as much base xp as your character can fit
  • 7 “omega” Job xp cards… which each raise you to level 15 job, so you can pick your next rank.
  • 2 billion silver
  • a set of lv280 gear chosen for you based on your starting class.

i mean i know there’s a lot of work involved still. some people might call it too much grinding, having to choose your hairstyle and pick a name when you create the character. and you still have to pick the classes for each rank, which is a huge chore… but i’ve tried to minimize it all as much as i could. HOPEFULLY you guys can handle this much effort for your characters at least.

They should add a map called grindville

  • no npc, no quests.
  • can only enter with party.
  • hard to kill mobs
  • 1 exp per monster (at all levels).
  • common loot with 0.1% drop chance
  • rare loot with .001% drop chance.
  • lose 25% exp upon death.
  • 1000 kills net you 1 weak xp card; equivalent to 100 xp.
  • 10000 kills net you a weaker xp card: equivalent to 50 xp.

There you go, the infinite grind mode.

lmao, there we go

forget towns, just make it 2 separate “alternate playstyle” servers

no wonder youre still 167 - you asked the whole playerbase on all server about their opinion regarding grinds

btw i read somewhere that its possible to reach 226 without any grinding involved - gotta double check that in game myself - i really doubt that its possible and that you have to grind at some point but who knows - 226 unlocks your 7th circle and if you hate grinding you can take it slow - do other stuff - finish your journal - etc etc

very doable you just have to use your cards at the appropriate times. and do your daily missions / dungeons

I don’t see an issue with grinding, the only real problem is the lack of mobs/mob spawn rate etc…

the whole point of being able to get to 226 without grinding is doing every single quest in the game and saving them to use on proper level, thats great for a first run kind of experience, but knowing im gonna need to do this every time i make a new char is bullshi t, for real.

even having the gear necessary to 1 shot content helps in nothing so even as second run kind of farming you still need to stick with quest for the whole game, there are no way around it.

option 1:
–dont make any other characters.

option 2:
–don’t play a grind game if you can’t handle the grinding. seriously, what were you expecting? old school examples of this genre allowed you to get as far as lv1 without any grinding.

I enjoy grinding, unfortunately you don’t need to grind much in this game once you know what your doing.
