Vote for the next hack: Rollback or Manual Revert

Hmm the problem is… in order to offer something as an alternative solution to resolve a problem, such things have to be thought through.

It is like in the real world where we keep harping on change for the better, some services need to be better, so on and forth. But none of us step up to really think things through to see if the solution really works and not cause more harm than good.

Maybe, maybe not. Who knows.

I will not reply to any comment from now on. It’s getting tiring. The poll will speak for itself if I haven’t spoken enough.

Again, it’s for the future hacks, not the current one…

awww …no more drama

wait wait wait

wut??? where???

i came to thread after being told neko being abusive (or at least claimed as such) i cant find anything.

On topic: no need for rollback. Staff can work overtime to avoid that scenario(even if they couldnt solve it 100%). rollback will frigging affect all players who werent even involved. losing tons of silver xp, drops and what not. anyone care to tell what good rollback will do? i can only see negatives.

guide for those got extra thousand billion silver, on topic i vote for rollback. :satisfaction:

Well, I don’t want to redo any farming that I did. It’s sucks if I must redo all the RNGs

Well on all the negatives of rollback … people could maybe trust that there are not only abusers and cheater running around and that ur own effort ist still worth sth.And yeah i m aware that there are a lot of people who got silver who did nothing wrong .But this makes the game not fairer in the slightest
But yeah this rollback thing has to be done really fast …

Didn’t realize that the poll said the next time something like this happens. I’m against a rollback for the current situation because too much time has passed, but a future rollback of a few hours, if a hack is caught early enough, would be ideal.

Of course, then that situation can be exploited too.

… and what’s the point of this poll? to try to convince someone on what to do on something they don’t have an authority to?

yeah yeah community should be first, but on handling sensitive database rows/cells/cols on this kind of fiasco? i dont think so.

115 voters to represent the whole community.

Jk, I’ll rather leave this rollback/manual revert thing up to IMC and let IMC choose whichever option to go at any incident and time so players don’t start taking advantage of things since they don’t know for sure what IMC will pull off.

Why rollback if you can just delete the entire server? :brazil::brain:

I think IMC should rollback to early open beta when the game was fun and there were many challenges to overcome as a flock of noobs.

Can we please stop with the wipes or roll backs???

Isnt it just better to just open a new server, hopefully in another location that isnt brazil??

Wouldnt that just solve most of the current problems???

A new server solves nothing until the fix the code that’s being exploited.

140+ now. And that’s more like 10%+ of our current player base if you look at the steam chart.

By any measure, a 10% poll is very representative.

And the drama should be over by now. You have seen the result.

You … really going to only reply and point that out 7 days after I said that?

With that said, it would be interesting to know which server did the voters come from to show that the result is indeed “very representative” of everyone in ToS, and not skewed over due to the majority of voters coming from a certain server.

Wipe 50% of SA’s playerbase everytime a hack/exploit is discovered :ok_hand:

The only Rollback that i’d accept would be the back to beta days rollback :tired:
You better take out everything from zero or nothing because if i happen to roll a sweet Primus and u just rollback, that’s it and it’s prolly the same for many

for the next hack lol.it should be “in case another hack happen”.

big lol for add new server.
SA deserves the lag since many abusers are from there(not badmouthing, its according to the staff banned list).

and i support staff decision for the past hack. no need rollback. good things abusers banned. just fix the code and prepare for risk management plan for later on.in case hack identified quickly and rollback feature there later, just dont hesitate to press the button.dont wait for too long to discuss stuffs cause ppl abusing it so dam fast.

that steam chart though, player base can decrease due to many stuffs. another game released, ppl are busy, and noticeable one is popo points event removed that used to make ppl afk whole day. some even afk with their alts.
