For those wondering how easy or hard leveling a melee cleric/priest is. Feel free to ask any questions.
Hello,
in terms of stats, is str really worth it?
been playing around with a spr and dex build, damage almost reaches yours.
Question, why the choice of the golden falchion, is the kozuka not much better?
Do you plan on re-rolling when you get to Monk, if not do Monk Skills work well with Crit
?
Could you show me your skill build?
And regarding time lvling 1-50, what your build? INT? Because melee is really hard for bossing ATM
@zyaad8 I found it to be worth it. I like putting 10-30 points into STR and rest in dex.
I don’t know why you would use SPR for this build since we don’t really have skills to spam, unless you’re going different route.
Golden Falchion because it adds 159 crit damage or something like that. It’s quite nice at this level range. Same for Skull Crusher (91 crit dmg). Kozuka is good too, more consistent as well, but I like to see bigger yellow numbers, and just now I’m getting to the point where I see them very consistently, feels good.
@pr4nkster No, I will not reroll anything, I might add another 10 points of STR, and the rest will still be all Dex probably until I have 250+ Crit rating. Yes Monk skills can crit.
@jaysinxx build is here, as is right now http://www.tosbase.com/tools/skill-simulator/build/nslyratxbg/
Never used int, always full Dex, with 10-20 STR. No problems with bosses at all. That boss in the video is hardest I’ve ever had to fight…most of them is me standing still and wacking them until they die, usually they do 0 dmg to me.
What about grinding? I always stuck at 40-50. Should we use EXP cards or save them?
@jaysinxx If you’re struggling, sure why not, use the exp cards to get to Class level 15 so you can get to Priest 2, which will give you access to Sacrament, which when combined with Blessing will almost triple your damage instantly.
Also, once you get to 46, exp curve resets, and you’ll find yourself in the high 50s very very fast. I wouldn’t use too many exp cards at around level 40 because Tenant Garden and Chapel are such an efficient grinding spots.
thanks for your reply and what about the equipement you using. such a huge buff on your stats.
i wonder, why u in a part of the video put like all the stat on dex and so less on STR.
And, u stats now?
Did you fight the priest master when you reach priest C3?
Interesting, any thoughts of a build that has a higher Str ? Such as 2:1, Dex:Str. Or is there simply no need ?
To be honest it doesn’t matter if you use exp cards before or after hitting the exp curve. You’re still getting the same amount of exp from the card. It just feels like it’s a better benefit after because of the instant exp and levels. Card values don’t change. xD So it’s all the same really.
Short question on the multiple hits on autoattacks. Can you actually influence the rate they proc or do they proc on 100%?
Maybe it’s just me being laggy but I think I have single autoattack hits as well.
@melkrow you should really invest a point Monstrance, just 1 is fine as the dex increase stays the same each lvl.
The Dex increase is huge and with the attribute its possible to keep in going permanently.
@zyaad8 Gold Falchion and Skull Crusher for weapon. +8 Dex Roka Leather Chest (recipe from quest reward), Strength Pendant , and 1 Bearsomething bracer, drops from a story boss, the rest is all generic gear. Although tonight I got Vubbe Fighter gloves, but I did not have them when I made the video.
@gerardo_manuel3 That’s pretty much the whole point of the build, get a lot of Dex so that we can do crits, and then have weapons that do a lot of crit dmg.
@Huerin I forgot
. I know I had to fight priest master once, but I’m not sure when. All I remember is once time I had to go to Miner’s village to exorcise the demon, another time I had to fight the priest master and I don’t remember what I had to do one of the times.
@pr4nkster Frankly I think that’s the way to go when leveling, until you can have around 110 Crit Rating (including from dex and gems and all the gear).
@Konsetsuki Well you want to save your cards to use when you don’t have good grinding spots to grind in. At least that’s how I’ve been doing it.
@Piran They proc 100% of the time. And yes there was something in the patch notes they posted tonight about damage numbers not displaying properly with low FPS.
@Prinny To be honest I didn’t check the attribute. I saw it’s base, leveled it up couple of times, the buff was the same, I respecced out instantly. I’ll give it another look.
appearently the formula used for Monstrance goes like this:
((DEX/10)*3+10)DEX
so for example you got 100 dex its goes ((100/10)*3+10)=+40 dex wich is alot in my opinion
Interesting build…
@melkrow I have some questions and i hope you can answer them
what attributes do you recommend to focus on? and I noticed your skill build saves up all skill points until priestc3?? Or is that a mistake? Do I add blessing and sacarment as I go along the ranks?
Thanks
edit: You also mentioned in your video comment section that you added 20-40 str and the rest dex and you started out with 10str/10con/10dex. I’m thinking the benefits you get from str is very minimal because I heard str stat was bugged and only getting 1 damage per str. Would the build be more beneficial if i go full dex?
In certain sidequest instances, how do you handle dealing with…about 20 enemies all at once?
Focus on Blessing: Enhance, it is awesome. (Edit: But also get the other blessing attributes when you feel like it)
The builder is just me being lazy to build it properly on there. Max Blessing and Sacrament as you get them.
In regards to stats, basically there are stages to it. Early on, you want a bit of STR because you will not be critting much any time soon. As you get closer to level 100 you go full dex (right around when you can have 110 crit rating seemed good enough for me), because at that point you can crit often enough, reliably enough. Eventually at some point further down the line, you will again want to start putting points int STR because you will be critting all the time so you might as well boost your damage with STR.
Now about 1 dmg per point, well that’s not exactly true. Sure STR adds 1 point of damage (I don’t’ think it’s bugged) on top of a crit, that’s true. But STR also adds to you base damage separate of that, and that base damage gets multiplied by the crit. Say you have 50 STR, that will add extra 50 base and 50 crit dmg. 50 base dmg will become 75 dmg once you crit, plus the 50 crit dmg. So all in all you are getting 125 dmg for 50 points, if you crit.
@Huerin I’ve never ran into this problem yet
… I wish I did, I end up having to fight with other player for all my kills lol
I see, so do you think this will eventually in the long run round up to a 2:1, Dex:Str or more along the lines of 4:1 ?
