Hello, I’m new to this game and I would like to make a monk…
My problem is that what I’ve read turns out to be outdated…
So I’m not really sure of a good build for a monk, or if I should get my points on str or dex…
Can I have some help?

Not sure if others would agree with me, but as for stats, Put 1 CON till you hit 30 points, STR 1 and DEX 3 (I try to keep a 5 points range to keep things organized), then keep STR:DEX 1:3, that measn if you have 10 STR your DEX should be 30 till your DEX hit 180 (some say 200 is better, I’m not sure the exactly value to hit the aspd cap) then put the rest into STR.
As for the build, I would go with this (just came up with it, I will probably test it out later on).

I invest 100 to STR and rest went to DEX
Con that you get from items is already enough (Vinezaris mace gives CON and there are Rhevisian bracelets from saalus)

It’s sad to see all these builds now just not getting Energy Blast at all or not putting more than “Extra points” into it. IMC really screwed up one of the coolest Monk Skills, definitely lackluster for a 45s cool down.

ranks 3 and 4 are pretty much changeable. i’m sticking to priest primarily because my group of friends currently have no priest and are all dievs on their clerics, at the moment. May change at the last day.
If you have 1 sure… I would like to watch it…

Kostik is there any calculation for atk speed and dex out there yet? I would like to see that to be able to calculate better
I feel like it is dependant on your ping.
With mine (around 60-70) around 300 dex is where my speed on DP caps. I see a difference between 250 and 300.
But 300 and 400 are identical as far as my observations go.
It felt comfortable with 100 dex and rest str too, but Damage difference is very minor (about 1k damage) but with double the speed and red OX i get better DPS
i strongly suggest going for fade 5 instead of 3 points in deprotected zone. since the defence reduction is miniscule. and 20 seconds fade is amazing for ET and whatnot
With that many DEX, do you go leather or plate armor? Seem like a waste to go plate armor if you really are 100STR and rest into DEX.
And what is the difference between a lvl1 golden bell and lvl5 golden bell? Because I don’t see any difference in the description so I never bothered taking it lol.

Meh, maybe. I kept it around for the defense debuff from swords and the combo (if it still even works). I don’t really use fade too often and usually cancel it before it even ends. You’d probably get the most use out of those points in Cure if you really don’t want deprotect.

A lot of heal, good support but still focus on DPS. Fade helps a lot to scape or questing, specially at high lvl maps. Pala restoration improves your heals, Turn undead for a one hit kill chance (not bad), resist element is always good and smite for the knock back. You can pick Diev 1 instead of pala for Teleport and -20 cooldown.

More DPS focus with Owl and silence carve world tree. A little bit more static for the statues but excelente support and dps for solo and party questing.
For Monk don`t change much in both builds. At the momento Energy blast is weak but Im confidente this will change. You choose to pick it or leave your remaining points.
For Rank 8 , inquisitor is the only DPS class to choose. Some pick PD for pvp
@Teifu why do you chose not to take carve attack? - i find it better then owls in damage. + dex build makes its animation faster.
God finger and one inch are good skills now? I’m seeing some of you maxing them instead of energy blast.
