Viable Hunter/Rogue?

Hi all, I was trying to come up with something that can dabble in both PvE and PvP - but I have over 100ms ping. I figured Scout is very important but I was not too big a fan of relying on stealth and was wondering if this build would be alright or if it was simply not going to work very well?

I really appreciate any advice! I saw a few topics on Rogues but from what I gathered, its rare to backstab someone? I was thinking of going QS C3 but from what I read, my ping would result Running Shot being very minimally used.

Get Scout C1. Karacha set make your Backstab deal 3x more damage if you hit enemy from behind, Cloaking is the best way to get closer and the 50% bonus attack damage from passive will turn you an assassin.

Hunters are a problematic class, I’m playing Hunter C3, but don’t suggest anyone to go this way. Tons of bugs, tons of ways to make all skills useless.

I would suggest you to go Ranger C2~C3 (Barrage Faint hidden synergy), Scout C1 and Rogue C2~C3

I appreciate the input on the Hunter class! I am sad to hear it is buggy :(. I am told that Karacha set does not work in PvP though, due to standardized gear? For PvE, I was hoping the pet can hold the boss or monster while I backstab, haha!

Coursing and Retrieve doesn’t work on bosses, Snatching is only for flying bosses and doesn’t hold too, only cause bleed.

Rush Dog is the only skill that work on ground bosses. And all hunter skills hits the closest target, so if the Boss’ trap is the closer than boss, your pet will use the skill on trap.

I was actually looking into a Hunter/Rogue build and came up with this:

I chose Ranger at Rank 2 for Barrage stun and High Anchor for more Crit damage with your skills/Backstab. Hunter for Coursing for a 15sec pin and Rush Dog for the stun + damage. Scout for obvious reasons lol. I was curious though if using your pet skills would break cloaking since it’s your pet doing the attack/damage and not your actual character, but I assume it does break cloaking. D: I think I had like 5 skill points in Rogue to use up still. But I think a Hunter-Rogue is possible!

I was debating going Ranger C3, because I heard GREAT things about Spiral Arrow. From what Kinatsu_ has giving us though, it looks like Hunter is pretty… bad xD.
