US West Server Or Oceanic Server

Is there any hope for an Oceanic server or US West server? Oceanic players know an Oceanic server is probably never going to happen. US East server has really bad lag and delay, Oceanic server maybe is a stretch, but even a US west server would be great, that way Oceanic players could get 140-160 ping and be fine. At the moment we get 200-230 ping. I cant even play Wizard because there is like a 1-2 second delay after the animation ends before the actual projectile comes out.

Thanks.

A US West server would really be a total upgrade from this hell of 300 ping

A server in SEA would address two regions at once, Oceanic and South East Asia.

Give us a SEA address to ping?
I think Oceanic players get bad pings to SEA, but im not sure.

Edit: I just pinged sgp-1.valve.net and got 224ms. Thats 20-25 MS more than US East.

Either Oceanic Servers or US West servers instead of SEA servers

While it sounds unfair, there’s really small playerbase coming from OCE so it is most unlikely that they will provide a regional server based on OCE. Which is why OCE players usually ends up playing with SEA players on a SEA server.

Yeah, but if you ping an AUS server, you will get a lot better ping than OCE to sing. But if they cant do OCE then atleast give us a US West server

Your ping to an SG server shouldn’t be that high, I have friends from Australia and they get 150-200 ping to SG.

Try cloudping.info perhaps.

Its Still at 238 ping
Oceanic connection to SEA is really bad

There’s already a SEA server announcement. Anyways regarding SEA server, did you try pinging an SG server? SG is really quite the top class when it comes to providing an MMO server in SEA. I got like 50-70ms even though I’m playing from Philippines.

OCE playerbase is small because majority of OCE don’t blindly jump into a MMO without researching ping first since we’re shafted on basically every game.

I’m sure there’s plenty of oceanic players out there like myself that would be playing ToS right now but not with our current connections.

I love how people that don’t even live in Australia don’t agree with an Oceanic server, of course, you would say no because it doesn’t bother you, you don’t need to suffer from all the frustration. SEA server is even worse compared to US servers. 250+ ms to SEA server and 250+ (and some of the people are getting 300+ depends on the ISP company you are with, because of the ridiculous routing to SEA). I understand a few players are coming from Oceanic, its because half of the people don’t even bother because of the lag and stress just playing with high Ping. They could just open a test server in AUS and see if it worthy of keeping open. We had an RO private server located in Oceanic and over 10k+ people actually played on that server, I know it doesn’t seem much but keep in mind this was a private server that not everyone know about.

Okay I have a ping test to the SEA servers of between 150 and 200, but in game ping testing is throwing us to around 450 to 650ms…
On top of that anyone that has been trying to log into the SEA servers from Australia (well myself and a few friends that play) can’t even get into the server at times since it is flooded…

I was getting better pings before the move and now I can’t even play half the time and yet I’ve been a supporter of the game a long time now.

Yeah I’ve brought all of the founder packs and I would love to be able to play the game with my friends from here in Australia.

Back when I was beta testing, it works fine in their original servers.
I live in New Zealand.

Bump for US west based server

At the end of the day IMC messed up bad. The US east server (when EU has thier own) are bad for half of the US and oceanic.

The SEA servers being in SG mean half of SEA and all of oceania get bad connections to it.

If they had simply placed the SEA servers in Western Australia ALL of SEA would be getting <100ms pings. It was really dumb to host it in SG, just like it was dumb to host in US east when EU servers were planned.
