UNFORTUNATELY LOCKED: Keep the Latin American server, refuse Brazil publishers

My ping in kTOS is above 600ms. For a competitive scenario, anything above 300 ms seems too much for me.

Also, is good to have a server with our main language, even if I like a lot to play with other people from all around the world.

Don’t let it bother you. I was talking about majority, like anyone else with similar statemnts I think. No one in their right mind would state that all %nation_name% are bad just because some of them are bad.

But at the same time we saw only ENG/BR languages in global chat during the first days iCBT2 and almost no german/french/etc. Europeans just used a common international language because it’s a simple and polite way to communicate internationally.

And It has been noted that when br flood the server, amount of rude people/botters/exploiters increases drastically which is hardly reflected by increase in playerbase.(Take iRO and bRO for example)

Latin american =/= brazilian, so the main language isnt portuguese.

True, but Spanish is not that hard if you know portuguese. Keeping servers by regions are a good move i guess.

Not sure, if a brazilian server would have a ping much better than latin one.

The main problem is: ā€œbraziliansā€ dont know how/want to communicate with foreing ppl — brazilians, aka the majority of our country.

Some players from latin america don’t like the br flood in world/shout chat and started to complain in midle icbt2. (some guys from chile, argentina… ).

Our ping will be the same as always…

I am Latin American (and no Latin American is not equal to Brazilian or Mexican) and to be honest I hate the idea of ā€œLatin American Serverā€; yes the ping will a bit better for people from South America, I am from Costa Rica so I don’t really have any ping problem to be honest and I am sorry if you do, it must be annoying, but let’s be honest, ā€œLatin Serversā€ sucks all time, they are not competitive enough, most of people playing there are way too casual (not all of them but most) and the publishers are awful (just think on what will happend if a company like Aeria Games take the game, it is just an example). Now when we talk about costumize service it sucks, for some reason that I don’t understand if the server is located in Brazil the ping will be awful for anyone who is not from there, so you will still have an awful ping, with a horrible costumize service in a pay to win server.

In the other hand ā€œLatin Comunitiesā€ in ā€œLatin Serversā€ is reduced to brazilians comunities and don’t take me wrong, I don’t hate brazilians but I don’t enjoy to play with them, most of time they do whatever they want, they don’t even check mechanics in dungeons, they never comunicate with their party (it is an international game, learn basic english at least: Ready? Yes No Dodge Blue Red Green Buff Debuff Wait), they use to steal items from other classes with the excuse ā€œI don’t speak englishā€ and I know that not all of them are like this, I know 1st hand some great brazilian players, very skillful and with great comunication in game, but sadly they are very few (at least in my experience).

So ā€œLatin Serverā€ is not so good as people may think it is when you are not Brazilian and when you take a bit serious this games (more than just go, kills some bosses and call it a day). Just go from an international sever and learn to behave and share with others (it is fun).

Language is not a problem, and the international server will go to steam and so the English translation is completed, other languages will begin to have translated such as Portuguese and Spanish (Portuguese in fact already has its start translation and has a good progress made) (Link : https://github.com/treeofsavior)

I do not think a bad thing that there is a Latin American server, because we do not have to play it, it’s just an option, an option that most would choose, but those who do not like has the option to play on other servers.

EDIT: my personal view of how I see the Brazilians, is that we only have the Portuguese as a language, the teaching of English here is very precarious in schools, limited to paying for English schools to learn the language.
the annoying spam is literally because the guy does not understand any English, another boy told the guys not thanked when it helps, believe it or not, it is likely that the guy did not know really say ā€œthank you.ā€

The main problem of brazillians in game’s world is the ā€œself stereotypeā€. Actually I see more brazillians apologizing for your own country than spamming ā€œhueā€ or ā€œGive me moneyā€.

If you pay attention, each brazillian post in forums starts with ā€œApologize my countryā€ or ā€œApologize Brazilā€, they want to get rid of troll player’s fame but reminds me that all the time. Belgium have tons of problems and qualities too, but i’m not here as a Belgian or representing Belgium, I’m here as a player.

If 99% of brazillians uses BOTs/Cheats and spams alltime on public chat I want 99% of brazillians banned from my game forever like russians, koreans or everyone else. But please, rather than prove to me that you are a decent player by lowering your entire country, just try to contribute on forum as a common player.

Not only Americans are angry with most of the Brazilian behavior, I’m Latin American and I am pissed as well. They created the Latin American server so me and some Hispanic went there to play but it was a bad mistake I will never make again. It was full of BR. Very little Hispanic and oh boy, was it terrible to play with you people. I don’t understand why most Brazilian players act the way they do, they are hated in most gaming community and no, I don’t want another fake Latin American Server full of BRS, if possible, take them all away from us so they can keep their troll child-like behavior elsewhere.

Nope, only portuguese players ranting in Global to American players. Don’t drag the Spanish community to this. We are very fond of American players and we have the decency of speaking in English to them, unlike Brs.

ANDDDDD also add a SEA server plz. ( ͔° ĶœŹ– ͔°)

Dont play moba games then. They usually tend to gather the most toxic players all over the world. Nationality makes no difference. You meeting something more frequently in those games only says about popularity of said games in those countries but nothing about ā€˜quality’ of players.

About cheating… you probably never had a chance to play against chinese.

About swearing/badmouthing/spamming the chat: i often find spanish, brazilian and ā€˜pinoys’ to be the usual offenders. But mostly (maybe) because they cant speak english fluent enough for others to understand them.

This , 100% this. I tried teaching this to the community on many occasions but I can’t make them understand. It sadly became a stereotype already.

@MaxMisa … Well I’d have every reason to be mad at the hispanic community as well , because I’ve encountered as much if not more bad behavior from you guys , the difference here is that I know to block/avoid rude people and not frame the entire country because of a few sour apples.

Not framing entire community, I have Br friends who have explained to me why they act this way.

Something like I was standing on the city minding my own business and a BR comes calling me names and stuff for no reason lmao.

Another told me to shut the hell up and go play a different server because it was ā€˜ā€˜BR’’ server when I was sitting down talking to my friends (some of them BR) sorry to break it to you but most BR don’t even want to play with only Br because they know how most of them act, not framing the entire community, that is why I say ā€˜ā€˜most’’ and sorry but I have never encountered this type of unusual unrational behavior in other communities. So yeah, get them their own TOS and those Br who know how to behave should totally come play in the international version.

ā€˜ā€˜Latin American Server’’ sure, I’m latin american so why not go play there ? well I did and could only read portuguese on global, horrible experience + bad behavior from most of them.

They were so nasty that they had to open up a different server, doesn’t that say a lot…?

I’m not trying to spread hatred, I’m trying to avoid it.

If you never found this kind of behavior in other comunnities you clearly havent been playing games enough.

And since you like to share dramatic stories here is mine. I was playing my dailly ranked match in counter strike global offensive and I got queued with 4 hispanics. I was top fragging that game and doing my best to keep with the spanish and the calls they were making , they asked though why I wasnt saying anything and I said that I couldnt speak spanish. The name callings started ( something about spamming boludo boludo, which I dont think its a complement) and I was then kicked from the match ( did I say i was top fragging and following their calls?).

On another ocasion I’ve ecountered another group of hispanics that were killing themselves as soon as the match started, intrigued I asked what were they doing to which they replied: " estamos derankeando" . So I had to quit that match or constant face 5v1s every round.

This got to the point where the hispanic comunnity of csgo got this little funny nickname, the Boludos. Its advisable that if you find too many Boludos in your match to forfeit it as soon as possible.

So please dont come here bashing the ā€œmajorityā€ as you say because of you little experience, We all had terrible experiences and its up to us to block/avoid rude people and try to make a better game. That mindset wont get you anywhere.

I have had experience, why would I come here talking from just one incident in one game, TOS was not the first time I saw how most Br’s behave, even they know how most of them behave, I mean look at this thread it was made by a brazilian person Wth, sorry you had to go trough that hispanic experience tho, never heard something like that probably just idiots having fun tho. Listen, I am not the only person who think this way, is just sad that tos had to be a victim of the crazy BR community. I don’t want to insult br’s because I have br friends, just saying that I think it would be nice if they get their own TOS because every game I played that had a good amount of br’s, they were disliked by most of the people.
Like I said before I’m not trying to spread hatred.

So @manolo_denner, as You can see, You made a thread asking IMC not to trust Brazilian publishers but instead it became a thread hate towards brazilian players. Instead of the issue at hand people are letting their inner Trump out. I dont think this thread should exist any longer. It seriously already lost its first purpose.
