UNFORTUNATELY LOCKED: Keep the Latin American server, refuse Brazil publishers

> LOCKED TOPIC: I came here with the intention of asking for the help of the community, totally with an idea for a good cause, unfortunately the hatred of many totally took the focus of my cry for help.
> I am totally upset, this was a normal request for help, I wonder if many did not realize that this incitement of hatred against a country some have become exactly what they were complaining.

> I still hope to IMCgames to comment on the Latin American server, and that not only Brazilians, as everyone here in general, learn to accept each other.

> Here is my disappointment message.

To all Americans, first I apologize to the behavior of Latin Americans (in mostly Brazilian), in which it was necessary to create a separate server.
But I ask the help of all of you, so that imcgames can read this, keep Latin Americans with you to separate server equal to the closed beta, the Brazilian publishers have the image of being good and communicative but they are all the imcgames always I wanted to avoid, they mostly only think of money, buy a game to be published in Brazil just to suck every possible penny and then they close the game, with Brazil being such a large audience we do not deserve this sad end.
I know that many Americans may be angry with our behavior, not all of us are like that, and keeping the Latin American server will not bother any of you, but we also want to have a care and quality server, and it only imcgames can offer.

Thanks for listening… :pensive:

Steam has some very good latin american servers. I often play CS:GO and my ping is around 5 ms there. So I also can’t see a reason why IMC would handle the game to a publisher.

I made this text because it is rolling rumors that a company is here trying to be publisher of the ToS, and it is the same company that managed to ruin the Ragnarok here in Brazil.
Have the opportunity to play on Steam with a quality company is very good, hope it does not fall into the tale of the companies interested in here.

IMC could also have both, a local publisher for the general public and a better gameplay experience, due to low ping, and the Steam version without a region block for those who can endure a higher latency. That would be a win-win situation, with revenue being generated from both angles.

What made IMC decide to separate Latin Americans in their own server?Any particular incident?

Yeah, if a publisher gets the game here I probably won’t play.

Latin Americans don’t need their own server. I’m perfectly fine with playing with all types of people from different backgrounds and cultures. But if you’re asking for a server for latency issues then I can understand.

I’ve flagged this post cause that’s not what happened at all and for trying to incite hate.

What did happened though was portuguese/Spanish over global chat. With a lot of complaints about non-english in chat to IMC they decided to make the server.

I also prefer to play together with everyone, meet people around the world is cool, just mention the Latin American server for this game unfortunately had problems with Latin Americans ruining the experience of others.

EDIT: I want to complement this case the Latin American server to say it’s a complicated case, there were many people disturbing the players in general, but one of the facts of separation is important to remember is the fact that the fan base of the game in Brazil is huge, ToS was a success here and many people were confused with so many players speaking in Portuguese.
The problem is to think that all Brazilians are like that, most of the staff is quiet and polite, the issue is that few do mess and how my country got a bad reputation in online gaming has just rolled a generalization.

This is going into behaviour category. You described what was happening before iCBT2 SA server was launched. I described what was happening after. The truth is somewhere in the middle.

As for hatred, there is a reason why such comics are being created. Someone who will see himself in them will get angry. Those who don’t fall in that category will just laugh at stereotypes/ignore it.

One pic describes precisely what happens to poorly protected games infested with brazilians.
There is nothing more offensive than truth. ©

I honestly love the separation and is not like they were force to go to the Latin server, it was their choice to either stay or transfer to a new server. Most of them decided to start over at the Latin server, after the launch of the new Latin server things started to be way more calmer in shout chat and in the game as a whole. So I would love for them to still have the Latin server for the peace and also the fact that they will get better a ping over on the other sever.

It is sad to say but i will stay in the global server since there will be no ip block, Level Up i know to make every game Pay 2 Win.

Any source for this?

I have seen a lot of Brazilians using blatant and obnoxious exploits, but the majority of large for-profit bot makers and hackers I have heard about have been largely North American or European.

I think the people you really need to watch out for are the ones that are abusing exploits more subtly and are therefore more likely to go unnoticed…

Edit: One example I can recall of the top of my head: the most popular WoW bot was created by an American (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glider_(bot)

I think they most likely created the LA server because of the huge amount of br players around, the servers were crowded. It helped alot, atleast in Zemyna it did(where I played)

Not makers. But users.

And if you’re asking for an age spawn 12~25 are the most notorius hackers.
Kid’s that want to win, without any real effort.
Or ruin others fun xD.

Data, is provided by experiences atm.
No one cared to make a statistical analyses.

But i have played in a bunch of different national servers.
Fazit.

Don’t play together with russians or brazilians, if you want to have atleast a decent chance of having fun.
That’s it atleast for me.

I don’t hold any racistic feelings.
I just find more idiots from these lands, than others. And here were i life, there’s enough of them already.
And the game’s i played showed me that i don’t enjoy playing with people of that mindset or level of skill.

Strife
Prime World
Dota

For an example. I was in NA Prime World (russain developer) i had fun and others too, que time as it was in beta. About 5~30 mins, regarding time you wanted to play.

Players shouted at devs, as soon as they made the que shorter. By simply merging servers… not advertising it more heavily.

I quit then. Came back a year later, when people told me it go somewhat better.
Game 5 foreigeners against russians … 95/3 for us … we decided to try to talk to them and teach them a bit. But only got sweared at in russian… blamed to be american. Even if not …

Then i went and tryed random que, 6 months later. Me and 9 russians in a game… bad decision. It was worse then before. I struggled with the controls for 3 mins, died 2 times. Getting called feeder.
5 mins later i’m 25/3, where my teamamtes are either suiciding or are lucky and have russians suciding to them …

Tower dive is something a russian must have invented… at least the straight into tower at level 3 … for 30 times. Cause one time, won’t solve it!
… yeah.

Later i found out, that he wasnt a bot. I cried.
Afterwards, i shrugged and never went back to these toxic communitys.

Preach it. Sometimes the truth sucks, but it’s something that needs to be said.

I know.

The funny thing is, some games tend to attract more hackers.
Others more botters.
And others again more of the toxic people in chat.

RO was the later kind mostly (if you disregard bot’s that got taken down, somewhat fast. Hobby bot hunter xD).
YOu go into a town for newbies to help people out a bit, by buffing while you chat on TS.

“ZENY PLZ”
“PLZ” PLZ"
“HEY YOU BOT GIB ZENY PLZ!”

About 5% of the newbie populace was disrepectfull and sweared at you, when you didn’t give them anything.
BEFORE the RTL2 comercials on kid timings it was about 0,1%. Rarely you had seen someone pester you.
Except “Buff PLZ” … “HEAL PLZ” withotu any thank you.
Afterwards, kids “MY AGE then~” streamed in. And the community was slowly ruined xD.

I felt really disheartened, that someone around 12~14 would wish someone to drop death. BECAUSE they killed a monster, that they clearly “hit first” and the “accused KS” was at no fault.
Sadly to say … most of these were either french, polnisch or german.

PLZ somehow came from the german ones … it’s pleaes or pls. But not our postal codes… PLZ.

–

TIMES i tought THAT was BAD …

If the problem is the chat language, there could be a specific chat channel for every language.

If the issue is latency then yeh, a server for that area is ok.

Dont refer to a specific region to have “X” issues, all regions have all kind of players, we all have access to the same resources.

I apologize for the bad experience you had with Brazilian / Latin Americans in general, believe me, not all are like that.

one post in particular said that the amount of Brazilian hackers was big, you need to see on the basis of what this source is based, because as I said earlier the fanbase of the ToS in Brazil is huge, even if a small amount of Brazilian used hack, with the huge Brazilian community the number may be higher than other countries that had fewer players playing.

I had raised the topic with the intention to get support from the community, who know the imcgames could finish reading this my foolish request, and maybe even to comment on it.
Not surprisingly I had people who did not like Brazilians, unfortunately because of the few that have created a bad reputation here, many pay the price.

I really feel sad to hear stories of bad experiences with us.
