I’ve seen a video of a lvl 166 monk killing level 178 mobs …there was no 1 dmg … is this new since beta 3? Really hope this won’t be a thing!
It’s not 1 damage to higher leveled monsters. Monters have defence. If you are too low level you will not be dealing any dmg and 1 dmg is the lowest you can get.
You only hit 1 damage if your weapon has 0 durability

Even if this is not a suggestion, better not make so the char deals 1 damage to higher level monsters, or else will kill the challenge of exploring deeper the game.
I saw it from Twitch video and this same thing happened in CBT2.
One bokor who had 100 str tried to kill 8-10 lvl higher monster… Dealt damage 1.
On another thread, players were saying that to grind higher level monsters, they had to spam skills, or kite the monsters with the skills.
Like others already pointed out, I dont think it’s true. Players should be rewarded for defeating a stronger monsters, not giving us even an OPTION to try would be bad.
This game does not give u exp if u kill higher monster.

nothing wrong with killing monsters your own level. that’s what you’re supposed to be doing anyways
Depends on a lot of things.
At level ~68, I can hit level 105 things with skills.
Some people enjoy doing things that aren’t considered practical. It’s part of the fun.
Besides, that sort of restriction inevitably forces players to stick to a certain mob and area. It stifles the freedom to explore IMO.
It’s one thing if the low dmg is the result of blatant difference in levels and stats, but I’d be miffed it were an arbitrary mechanic put in. 
Easy solution, if the lvl difference is TOO big, you get no exp or normal exp, but we can still try stronger mobs.
This isn’t true - it’s due to some skill the monster uses or something dealing with a quest (the monster has to be weakened first).
Also, you get more exp from higher level mobs than lower level (obviously), and the majority of the mobs you fight are a few levels higher than you are.
I’ve been getting some bad comments from friend playing the kr beta… These mechanics apparently limit the exp you get from killing higher mobs and also nerf your damage… Hmmmmm bad comments about the lvling experience boxing you in to where they want you to lvl and penalizing you for trying to reach further… Doesn’t bode well.
