Just theorycrafting. Could use some advice or insight from better players
The idea would be to cast buffs, cloak up, find a soft target, burst, and run away. How would it do?

Well, to be honest here, you don’t really have many attack buffs. You’ll probably crit, though. Anyways, let me first say Flu Flu is almost completely useless for anything but aggro. You only really need one tier of it. Flare shot is more useful, but in PvP… do the fear and confusion statuses even do anything yet?
I don’t really get what you were trying to achieve with the C3 Archer. If you wanted to burst, then kneeling shot would be useless. But sniping with cloak and sneak hit makes for a favorable combo. I see it as a viable build, but you’re going to have serious trouble getting through the early game with your three archer circles. You barely have any offensive skills
Got it, thanks very much for the input. I’ll have to re-think this and work on it some more
I would ditch Archer C3 for Ranger C2. Barrage in melee range does all the arrows onto one target instantly for a whole lot of damage. This would also buff your Musketeer damage with Steady Aim.
Also, Flu Flu shot’s fear does not work in PvP.
BTW does sneak attack work with musketeer ? Not sure if it has been tested
If you mean Sneak Hit, then yes.
Yeah, all standard buffs should work with all classes.
Hm ok. I just noticed Sneak Hit has a melee indicator. So it is a ranged buff as well I guess
Is this better? I took some of your suggestions, not sure if there are other skills you recommend. Still not positive about getting through the early game
Hmm… I think you should take some of those oblique shot points, and put them into multi shot and Full Draw. As an archer, multishot will be your main damage dealer, while full draw has some nice attributes even if you just have a point in it or two. Oblique shot is nice, but its main charm is how you can spam it again and again with no cooldown. At level 10, you’ll be out of SP before you know it. No real complaints on the rest of it. When I played ranger, I never invested in time bomb arrow, so I can’t really tell you if it’s good or not.
Thanks for the help man. For anyone else interested, here is the current build:
I was debating for quite some time between archer or wizard, but archers seem to be a bit more fun due to their mobility IMO
Yeah it’s pretty good build
Here’s a slightly alternate version where I drop rogue for wugushi. You lose the Sneak Hit crit bonus, but it’s situational anyway since you have to shoot someone from the back. With wugushi, I believe you can add poison to your rifle shot. You also get a bit more utility for your team with a lowlevel detoxify. Anyway, here it is (named after a league of legends reference :P):
Level up full draw instead of oblique shot
leave heavy shot at lvl1, you want it for the utility, not the damage
get flare shot lvl5
camouflage lvl 4/5
fluflu 1/5 just for the cc on pve
if you are going or zhendu expend your points on wugong gu instead of zhendu(zhendu doesn’t scale with str, the rest does)
also do not go for butt stroke, you won’t be using it(you don’t wanna to be in melee range, even in pvp), if you want to one shot someone just use snipe
Thanks for the input
For Zhendu, my attraction to it is its a buff you can put on before engaging someone. Do you feel the damage of Wugong Gu is worth it to drop it in the middle of a fight, instead of using some other skills? Or, is the Rogue Sneak Hit just a much better choice than Wugushi?
If you manage to get behind the target, then yes, rogue is a better choice(they have capture which is nice for pvp too)
How are you setting up your stat points? Everything into just Dex and Str? How much in each?
For every 4 points, I am currently going 2 STR, 1 CON, 1 DEX, but I don’t know how it will turn out. I figure I’ll just play and level up and then fine-tune later for pvp
dont go wugushi for PVP…
because it is so useless…
what do u expect from wugushi?? poison damage???
no… people can easily use cure/ bloodletting of whatever debuff prevent…
and make it worst…people can just use 1 antidote…and if u stack 3 poison to enemy?? they just use 3 antidote with 0 CD… so whats the use of wugushi???
throw gu pot?? the slow animation makes people easily step aside and evade it poison…
