I play FF14 and it’s bloody well paradise compared to what I’ve seen in this CBT. I’d swear by that with a gun to my head.

Why the developers need 2 care for me? Because I’m the one with the credit card. The people who pay are the only people who matter, when you’re making a game for profit.

Some of you seem to think Tree of Savior exists so you and your friends can play for free, eh? Free to play is never that. Expect to either buy it out the door (b2p) or to have leveling so broken slow that you can only fix it with cash shop items. The latter is far worse, so be careful what you wish for.

This game is no where close to FFXIV. No way this game should be worth that much since this game is far less complex than that. This is a 2d game and that’s 3d game. Much more differences. This is a grind game no way people would spend any cent on pure grinding.

You’re just racist that you don’t want anyone else besides NA to play your game. FYI just bc it’s on steam doesn’t mean it has to cost money and who in there right mind would pay 60+ dollars on a 2d game. That be like making maplestory b2p or p2p game. It’s just not going to happen. This type of game is not the same caliber in Sony games so don’t compare FF to a grind fest 2D game. Lastly, I already explained to you that very few games exist now that go the b2p or p2p route. Majority of games go f2p bc it brings in more cash in the long run. Quit the game if you don’t it f2p but do not try to ruin a good game bc you want it b2p so you can keep out the BRs and indos from playing this game.

I’m not racist. You’re racist for assuming I don’t want paying customers from other countries to buy the game. I’ve said many times I usually like to play with the kinds of people who can afford to pay for games. If you can’t afford to pay to play the game at all, it’s because you’re some punk kid who has been behaving so badly that daddy won’t let you use his credit card.

It’s really, really racist of you to say that Brazilians and Indonesians don’t have access to credit cards and steam dollars. How can you call me racist if that’s what you believe? I don’t believe it. Those countries have plenty of mature, paying adults who can support excellent games.

Also, so nobody’s going to pay money for this game because it’s pure grind, huh? Then enjoy 3 months before the servers close forever.

First you’re assuming that I don’t want this to be p2p or b2p bc I am a poor little kid. No I can definitly afford to pay for entertainment but I do not see this game worthy of putting a price tag on it. Especially a high price tag like other games that are far superior in graphics and gameplay than ToS. This game is just a pure grind game just like MapleStory, LaTale, Wonderking, and all those other 2d mmos out there. Do you really think this game is worth 60+ dollars compared to the other mmos? No despite the 80+ classes and the 2.5 D graphics the game is definitely not worthy of purchasing the game before playing it.

Even MapleStory which is bot infested and the playerbase much lower than it was before is still open and gaining updates each month. You really don’t understand anything about gaming. Guild Wars 2 and Elder Scrolls Online were both B2p games and subscription games. What happened to them? They eventually went f2p bc that’s where the real money is at and knew that keeping it p2p and b2p wouldn’t cut it anymore.

Do research and you will know that this day and age f2p mmos are what’s hot now. No one is paying for mmos anymore despite the hardcore WoW boys like youself This game is no where near worth a high price tag or any price tag for that matter. Plenty of better FREE mmos out there are coming out very soon which will take the playerbase away from ToS if ToS goes b2p/p2p. Blade and Soul being one of them which is coming out in January and already in CBT phases.

No, no, no. I didn’t assume any of those things. You did. Each of the things I said in my response to you was about things that you assumed. I never said $60. Not once. I’ve never suggested a price tag remotely in that area. You just assumed that I did.

Again megaphones will most likely be a cash shop item. Not everyone is going to be spending money on those mega phones. You’re assuming that they will keep on giving free megaphone a day. Maybe they might give a few a day but I highly doubt they will keep giving them out like hot cakes like they are doing now. If they do then we can bring up that spam issue again. I am sure IMC knows what they are planning on doing when it comes to world chat.

Also when I said no one will pay a cent to play a pure grinding game. I meant that no one is going to pay a cent to actually PLAY the game. They will first want to test out the game and see if it’s worth spending cash on. Then they will pay via cash shop items in the game to further enhance there gameplay whether it be cosmetics or w/e the cash shop offers.

People are more inclined to spend on something if they are able to test it out first. Being force to pay a certain amount of money for a game then finding out you hate the gameplay will just chase out customers. Hence the reason why ESO and GW2 went f2p after a few months being released. You never did say any dollar amount correct but I assume you want it priced high. Seeing as any lower price than 20.00 dollars will do absolutely nothing to stop spammers, hackers, botters, etc. Anyone can afford 5-10 dollars and will continue to spam or bot bc that’s basically pocket change. In order for a paywall to work it must be placed high enough that people would see it as a big waste of money if they get banned or w/e with there account. No one will pay a high price tag for this type of game when other games out there are far superior that are f2p.

Lastly, you realize this is only closed beta right? Wait until the actual open beta comes out before trying to put a price on the game. Find out what the game actually offers in content, security, and cash items first. As with all games out there that are in closed beta everything will obviously be free. Thus meaning spam will be in abundance and same with hacking all that jazz. You can’t even discuss how much p2w this game will be bc we don’t even know what IMC has for cash shop items. Stop assuming f2p=p2w bc that’s not always the case. Some p2w might exist but we don’t know how big the p2w will be when the game releases.

I read that this game is not worth, let’s say, 60$. No? For now i have 40 hours on it (i keep the game opened, learning skills, while i do other stuff, but anyway). 40 free hours. Even the last pokemon game didnt last that long (30 hours the story), so it’s totally worth it. Of course the best thing is free to play, but having to spend real money in the shop. For example to buy Reset scrolls, or even to buy fast silver coins so we can get anything we want fast. Also to reduce the time it takes to learn attributes, all of that with real money, would be perfect.

And yea, money is not the problem. They should make an isolated channel for each server. When someone gets reported like 3 times in a single month, for being a jerk, insulting (i’m tired of BR talking in chat), the GM will check the case and ban that guy, then he is FORCED to enter to that Ban channel, and will only be able to play and talk with other banned people. He gets out of jail after X time. This way toxic people is soft banned in an isolated server so they can blame themselves :smiley:

Yea, i made a topic about this. If TOS isn’t B2P then the game will be plagued with the worst of the internet. It will be a pity to see such a great game be destroyed by lag, bots, cheaters and toxic F2P players.

This game MUST be B2P to get rid of 90% of these problems.

You’re out of your mind WoW is subscription based and full of elitist and toxic community. Same exact thing with FFXIV. They dont even let you join there raids if you’re a new player. If you make any kind of mistake in there raids you get yelled at and called horrible names by these pricks. It doesn’t matter if the game is f2p, b2p, or subscription based. You’re still going to get a big toxic community since that’s how mmos are like. People create there little “elite group” then gather more people to join them and treat the poor or lowbies like crap. MMOs are like highschool basically. This is something you need to deal with and no price tag will fix that. What can fix it is if the company actually follows through with rules they set. I said this multiple times in this thread this game is not worth any price tag to be able to play it. Now it may be worth buying items through cash shop if you enjoy the game but in no way shape or form this game is worth a penny just to start it. It’s a 2d grind game just like MapleStory, LaTale, and Wonderking. Those are meant to be f2p. If GW2, ESO, blade and soul, are all f2p now and doing just fine I don’t see why ToS can’t stay f2p. Stop trying to ruin a good game with your stupid conservative mentality.

Again you must be a Republican for thinking that if you don’t like something it must mean you can’t afford it. I can definitly afford games and I have paid real money for actual good games. I paid for both GW2 and ESO when they were b2p and to me that was a great deal for the content given to me. They even went f2p model bc they knew it brought them more money. I don’t regret anything though since those are actually great games. ToS is nothing like those games and is worth nothing since it’s just a pure grind 2D game like MapleStory. Another thing is that Blade and Soul is coming out and that’s going to be free to play which is far better than ToS in graphics and gameplay. If anything should be B2p it should be that game. ToS is a great game and very fun to play. However, I would never choose to purchase this game if it was higher than 5.00. Please list games that are actually B2p games or subcription games besides WoW and FFXIV? You can’t bc all of them went f2p route and are doing very well. There are even rumors that WoW will be f2p sooner or later as well. They already offer f2p up to xx Lvl anyway.

Personally …I’m ok if this game is F2P (with cash shop …without too much of p2w stuff), also ok with B2P …but I’m not ok with founder pack where they gives advantage to people with money from the start, but I would definitely gets it if they make a special collector edition with artbook though. MMMMmm~ Artbookss…
