My 2 cents… no matter how much a company does to make a task or product intuitive and easy, there will definitely be people who will do things that isn’t intended by the company. No matter how many tutorials, or translations to 6000 languages, even if they send someone personally to coach the player individually, there will still be people who will fail to follow the instructions and do it wrong.

It is like Mcdonalds’ hot coffee. People know it is hot, yet they still do things like holding it in between their thighs while in the car… sighz.

There is only so much IMC can do to make the instructions clear and concise to the players, which I believe that for this round their FAQ and instructions is very clear already. They even have GMs around on the first few hours in server (at least in Telsiai) to help answer questions on the new patch and resets.

Not really, I’m not a law student. I read about it months back over wiki (I like to surf wikipedia every now and then for random bits of knowledge). These so called ‘series’ of lawsuits pave the way to many changes to product instructions we have today, like introducing the “Caution: Hot” on paper coffee cups etc.

I read somewhere too that many places also made their coffee that hot too. Guess it all changes after what happened. Thanks @artooc3po for the link, more food for the brain XD.

I just remember this case, cause my lawyer friends talked about it often. For about a year it was all I heard from them.

The one thing I took away from it as an outside observer, was becareful how interpret the mass media and be aware they have their own motives as well.

IMC told everyone what will happen if you reset your class… I don’t know if you guys are just plain stupid or didn’t fvcking read all the terms before doing so… and now rant about how you messed up like a spoiled brat who didn’t got what he wants…

Yay more brain food thanks. Yep given that most of the media we consume nowadays are motive driven (financial, political or other intents), it is getting harder and harder to perceive what is right and wrong. Even history which is known as “facts in time” can be wrong, as history are often documented by victors most of the time.

Question everything. Don’t take things on face value only. This is why I like so much about this game, I can experiment with class combinations which I like or think can work together, even if they are not part of the current meta etc.

Never seen that. Ive heard about that channel, “Adam Ruins Everything”, but never watched. Ill have to check some of the other videos too, thanks.

@Nekorin You are welcome. I read alot too, but I tend to read multiple sources and try to make up my own mind on things. My lawyer friends actually leaned towards Mcdonald’s side at first. Then the facts came out and they changed their minds, which is perfectly fine.

Also anyone interested in that case. Sure Liebeck won/settled the suit. But the tort reform that followed actually “hurt” consumers and strengthened the corporations. That video does allude to that.

IMC cant do somthing about this inssue since they made a huge post. with all the INFO about thsi reset voucher, in the moment that you use the voucher u “acept the term and conditions” about this. so if pple use the voucher whitout read the long post, is pple fault. “not all pple read english,” “not all pple see the website” 1. if u dont see the website and the post because u dont care or u dont like the website. this is negligence. so… 2. if u dont read english u could ask to a friend about what it says. if u dont have friend and dont understand english… so u are playing a english main lenguage game, so its your fault.

i have a sword that i want to reset, but i read the post, so i know that i need to lvl up until i get rank 8 (since i was rank 7) so thats what im doing now, a fiend say “and u dont need to made advancement quest because it say that if u are rank 7 class 15 u get rank 8 class 1 anyway” since i know that im playing a online game, and with a bad publisher like IMC i know that i SHOULD think about what kind of stuff i will made to avoid a bug in every stuff like this that they made. so i think that i should do the rank 8 quest and then i should keep rank 8 in any way. 4 days pass since i think all this stuff and now 1. when i was lvling a alt char. the class bar say “100%” but dnt get the advancement quest. i kill 1 mob and done. so that tell me that i will get 100% and realy will be 99.997%. and 2. now that i see many post about this, i know that i was right thinking about do rank 8 quest to avoid bugs…
