Man… All these exp QQers…
Just play the dam game, submit the dam bug reports and when beta is over write a dam game review.
People playing beta, swear this is the official release of the game xD count your blessings you got freaking selected to test a game thousands of people who wanted to be apart of CBT. Just be happy and report the bugs.
I think the community has made its point - The game will need higher rates on release cause as stated above, this is indeed ridiculous. Level 27, I’ve been working hours to get from jobLv 7 to 8. Character level is a bit faster yet still WAY too slow.
Edit: I retire what I said. These rates are absolutely fine and I am fiercely against raising them.
Dude you make me laugh so hard its funny lol. RO was only hard from level 85-90+(OBS DEPENDS ON THE CLASS, but for most it followed that formula). And level 98-99 took 1 month or something of really good and active grinding. NOW thats 14-15 hellish levels out of 99. This game gets stupidly grindy at level 25 OUT OF 600. If it was super grindy at like 400-600 and it took you 6 months to do those? Good. Now it’ll take around 2-3 years to get to 600.
Edit: RO wasnt an endless grind. I was able to hit assassin 74/4x in 1 week, at most 1 week and a half.
Completely agree. I hope IMC pays attention to posts like this before making a decision on the EXP rates.
Onigiri Online had a reduced XP rate during the beta. You had to fight monsters well above your current level, regular mobs could even two-shot you. The grind was do-able. …It’s just that it gets demoralizing when you’re just running around killing these poor flower things for 3+ hours for a level or two. End game shouldn’t be easy, that’s correct. But there should at least be more variety in how one can earn XP.
That’s just my two-cents. Because of this grind, I sorta took a break from it and helped people with the Reaper in the Mines. =o=
Setsuko ask the GM if they can put the same exp base as the korea beta plz?
help people do their quest bosses and do party event bosses
what does that have to do with anything on my last comment? ._.
oh woops, thought u meant u don’t know where to level anymore haha
P.s: been blind and misunderstanding a lot of stuff lately T^T
Koreans be like “here we go with International exp QQers again… that’s why our games end up sucking outside Korea…”
Honestly, I think it’s about time to have this kind of game for once, where reaching max level is a rarity and a big achievement, and not like everyone’s at max level just playing PvP or some end-game content.
Although I agree that for CBT, EXP rates should be a lot higher – ONLY for CBT.
lol this was my first mistake… ; w ;
I’m used to mmos where quests display on the map so you just walk over to them and talk to the npc with a big icon over their head.
And ToS does have NPC’s with icons over their heads… but not for all quests. > w <
It at least encourages you to explore a bit and talk to every NPC - also it’s nice for collectors because they get added to your adventure journal !!
Calling people casual because they don’t like grinding is pretty stupid. Grinding, in itself, is a bad game mechanic. It’s lazy and boring.
It’s all about maps/mobs and fights (I think).
the nice glowing blue mobs make the grind way easier then what people seem to think.
But these solely depend on luck.
This is my biggest concern with the game right now, the last time i played an mmorpg that felt too grindy at level 20-30 it had a max level of 60, and that game quickly became overrun with bots and pservers. Is this the direction everyone wants ToS to go too? I’m not saying the exp rates should be high enough to get max level in a month or quicker, but lots of us have full time jobs, or families to take care of, or other activities that we like to enjoy too, and we don’t want to put years and years into a game just to barely play 25% of it. The explorer in me wants to go to every single area in ToS, it has such a beautiful game world so far and i can’t wait to see more of it and find cool little areas and treasure crests.
We’re testing it’s fun-factor as well. This isn’t that fun tbh.
Huh so it’s grindy like Ragnarok? Perfect!!!
It’s worse
The max level in RO is 99/50
The max level in ToS is 500~
After level 25 a level takes like 1-3 hours grinding.
That’s how long it took after you got your 2nd job in RO
At the current exp rate you would need to kill around 2 million monsters to go from level 100 to 101
