How much exp u get per monster.?. I remember in Ro1 when I grinded monster that gave me 0.001 exp per killing and the game was still enjoyable… Yeah Dont wanna Ro1 leveling madness… I dont think Tos is going to be that hard…

Grinding up to a specific point is okay. That’s the whole thing about RPG games. But when it reaches the level ToS has right now it’s just outright ridicilous.

I knew it. I was flying through KR CBT…

How long it takes when u reach 1 lvl up…?.?.

Considering I’m only level 25 (Yeah, leveled up after about 1 hour… ._.) and the max beta level is 200 and max release level is 500 WAY too long. I don’t even wanna know how long 499>500 would take. Probably more than 4 weeks.

Thats pretty bad for low level character but remember that this is CBT afterall… so many things can change in final game.

However now is the time where they can still change. And mostly BECAUSE this is CBT is why such low EXP rates shouldn’t exist. How are we supposed to test the content if we never reach it? Great, 5k players can test level 1 to 80. But what about 80 to 200?

So far i’m loving the high number of boss fights i’ve found in the first few levels of the game, it keeps the gameplay feeling fun enough that i’ve been mostly ignoring the grindyness up to this point. But the problem still remains that there is grinding in the game, which could’ve been easily replaced with something new and creative, something more fun and engaging. The overkill thing is a good idea for the bonus exp, but they can easily expand on it to make leveling up less tedious and boring, maybe adding a “multikill” bonus for killing multiple monsters at once, a “combo” bonus for killing a certain number of enemies in a short amount of time, or anything else that makes you fight each monster/pack of monsters differently than the last (maybe even replace the whole exp system in general), giving you greater rewards for pulling off crazier combinations instead of the typical WoW clone of fighting 1 monster at a time and just rotating through a pattern of spells like a mindless robot.

Also, grinding is not “hard” or “challenging”, its just tedious and time consuming. At the same time, reaching the maximum level quickly doesn’t make a game “easy” either, i just want to be challenged and enjoy my journey to the max level. The difficulty of the challenges should be increasing, not the amount of time i have to spend playing.

I agree that they should increase exp for sake of testing…

Chilly this game has splash damage… U can kill 5 monster at same time… instead of killing one… Doppel has skill that increase Exp rate when u are overkilling monster…

Killing harder monster are only good if rewards is good… If the rewards suck… there are no reason to kill that challenged monster…If u are hunting bosses for items…then this is basically grinding…

A combo or multi-kill bonus would be a great way to alleviate grind, stack ontop of your Party exp bonus and your in business. I never claimed grinding was/is supposed to be challenging though, don’t know who you’re referring to with that line.

Like I said before there needs to be a way to find a middle ground and the idea you suggested is fine, you should probably put it in your feedback report if you’re in iCBT or make a thread in the suggestions section. The thing with reaching max level quickly is that people end up exhausting content too quickly and the game just becomes a persistent gear treadmill where it’s just dead between content updates and everyone is geared. Fixing one problem could easily lead to a next so when people talk about this stuff they gotta tackle all sides of it and try to find a way to make it accessible to the majority but still have one or two things for those who enjoy the odd grind.

Doppel is only class that can earn exp bonus via multikilling… This is very good at party grinding…

Double Pay Earn

Defeat enemy within set attack count for double EXP and rewards. Damage received increases by 3times while the effect is active and durability reduced more in incapable of combat status.

Thats what i’m claiming, if any mmorpg wants their grinding to actually be fun they need to make it a challenge, or remove the leveling system completely lol. I’m not complaining that ToS is boring since i’ve just started playing, i’m just worried about grinding at the higher levels and future of the game.

im a little confused… after first job class change ive only got to job lv 5 and its taking AGES to move it even a bit… is this a bug? or does it slow down that much… ive already levelled my main level a few times and my job is still lv 5.

i would like to add game so far is AMAZING!

Level system is the thing that make this game less boring for while… Most people are quitting MMO because there are not much to do in end game… Its not funny tho kill bosses if everything is done in a week…

Actually, it is, if you’re expecting that this game will be your RO replacement
