ToS's OST as content

I think MMO OST is one of those things that are so underutilized and there’s so many ways to make it way more memorable rather than just music in the background.

In a previous MMO I used to play, you could access a music list where you could see an entire list of all the game’s soundtracks and as you progressed through the game world you would unlock soundtracks as you go. If you right-clicked, it would give you a hint as to where to unlock it and if you unlocked all soundtracks, you get special unique emotes for it and it was part of achiever content. I loved this feature for several reasons:

  1. I could play my favourite in-game music whenever I wanted by selecting the track rather than being bound to the music for that certain map.

  2. It was achiever content that players could work for and made content out of something that most games ignore.

  3. It made the game’s OST memorable.

ToS’s OST is memorable. It’s too good not to be utilized more. I’d look to see something like this in-game.

Thanks and looking forward to your feedback.

Yeah I like the idea. And if the beta survey is any indicator music plays a very big part of enjoyment for the players.

You could even have a juke box or music box you could have for your barracks or guild hall. Leave it playing your favorite tune.

You can always use Steam Jukebox, but yeah, i don’t see any problem on adding one to the game tho.

I find your idea brilliant! :open_mouth:

Care to have a look at this? I want to be a certified OST Huntress! :musical_score:

Good idea. I don’t wanna criticize too much the soundtrack of the TOS, but i don’t think it has something special (which should have, after all, the OST is the “soul” of every game in my opninion). It would be nice to change a few songs without modifying “illegally” the files .

This was a thing available in IMC’s other game, Granado Espada.

^ This is what it looked like in-game.
