nice
will be looking forward to more posts in future
Amazing work!
Stuttering is really a problem right now
I’m even ‘used’ to it.
This optimization will improve the game experience a lot!
Good to see fundamental improvements like these.
OH…MY…GOD…
you are this | | close to making me fall in love with you all over again.
Nice, it’d be great to have that for the returning players interested in Re: but I’ll take it whenever.
It’s a start, but I’m still hoping for that game engine overhaul to happen someday.
I will be happily surprised though if these current changes will solve attack speed and other related issues. (Like the times when your character ends up freezing when trying to cast something after a boss slightly pushes you or right after you use a skill that changes your position like levitation and cavalry charge)

Of the many calculations that take place, we have been specifically focusing on streamlining the combat calculations by processing combat calculations at source code layer instead of the script layer. As a result, we have managed to speed up the combat calculations by 10 times when tested offline, and by 3 times when tested on our internal test servers.
Even if we wouldn’t be able to use addons anymore, you should do the same to anything UI-related, especially calculations involving inventory management since they’re a source of stuttering too.
Anyway, that’s pretty good news. I hope this is a successful step to make GTW finally viable.
What’s the computer specs used for this test?
Christmas came late but welcomed nonetheless.
A big Thank You and Good Job for TOS Dev Team!
Amazing that now I have 3 times the FPS (120+) compared to the optimized video.
Hope Ill reach 180 with this new update. Yar!~
2019 might start better than expected. Sad that it all comes about 3 years too late.
Frame rate seems drop a little bit from the video.
But overall game feels much smoother, great work, IMC!
nice
definitly didn’t expect this at all
for a long time we’ve been complaining about stuttering and other issues, it’s good to see IMC is finally doing something about it
there’s definitly more things that could be done (in the long run i mean), but this is a good start, keep it up
Now i’m even more happier than before, to come back with ToS re.
