-I have a mid to high-end PC and i can run things like TERA or Black Desert with 60fps in high demand moments, like pvp and world bosses, and in TOS i never get more than 30 fps in dungeons, and it’s worse in cities.
-Another annoying problem is the loading times between maps, i don’t use SSD but it shoudn’t be this much. Path of Exile for example is known to have long loading time between maps but the game is way richer in content and graphics, so it’s obviosly a problem in the lack of optimization this game has.
-Not to mention the poor experience high latency players have (200+ms). I kept this issue for as long as i could because it was “beta” but now we are just a few days from release and nothing has been done.
-I also want to enlighten the fact that a game’s engine is never something that should be considered “done”, it has to be improved constantly, be it in terms of client/server sided processing, netcode, and of course graphics. Older and sucessful games like Tibia, WoW, DotA and LoL have gone through “revamps” all the time during their existence in order to survive to new demands.
-I really want that the devs read this and keep this thought: Your game is never ready, it needs constant improvement, and optimization is the most needed right now. If it’s necessary to code the whole game again, then just do it, don’t be lazy.
ps: edited a little bit for the grammar nazis.
